"Thank you for meeting me, Mr. Wren." Drew said as the two men were seated within the private VIP meeting room of the posh, downtown restaurant. It was the sort of neutral territory that would serve such a meeting well. Drew had played this game before. He gave up a number of years' worth of experience to the CEO of Hornet Medical but her refused to succumb to the perils of youth. After all, he wasn't here for be combative. The two men, with all their differences, would enter as rivals, of this Drew was well aware, but he hoped against reason they would leave as allies.
"I know, in the past we've been seen as rivals of sorts both in the corporate world and in our social activism." Drew spoke calmly, his tone even and certain. He carried himself with the confidence and self-assured demeanor of a man many years his elder. He had requested this meeting for a very clear and concise reason. He'd be damned if he wasn't going to give it his all. "I don't see why this has to be. Hornet Medical is the world's largest private researching entity of the genetics and root causes of the mutant condition as well as the second largest employer of openly mutant humans only to Conner Industries." Drew knew his information. The facts were stated not in a competitive manner, but rather they came with a certain sense of admiration. "The Conner Estate provides more in goods, services and monetary donations to more pro-mutant organizations than all others combined." Again, Drew didn't state these statistics with any more arrogance than a sportscaster reading off the leaders of the night's games. "I won't waste your time, Mr. Argos. I feel we're doing both our causes a disservice by choosing to go at it alone. With Hornet's facilities and personnel and Conner Industries' resources imagine the good we can do together."
