BALANCED.
Bucky would like to think that this word suited him best. He did well in his classes, played in the school soccer and basketball team, and socialized quite well among his peers. He was comfortable in his own skin without being haughty. Sadly, this also causes him to be a slight people pleaser. He feels the need to make people like him so he adapts himself to situations. The quieter one in his group of rowdier friends, he is that likable and dependable guy--but rarely anyone's first choice.
AWKWARD.
Not many people know this but Bucky is very much a fanboy. His face would light up immediately at the mere mention of any of his fandoms. He reads a lot and cannot be found without at least one book on his person. Pretty much married to Netflix, it is hard for him to get bored of watching his favourite shows and movies again and again. That said, his tastes include many genres--adventure, horror, anime, comics--you name it.
CASH.
His cousin Cash was quite involved in Bucky's history. Growing up, Cash's parents often bickered and so would send the young boy to stay with his cousins for a while. With only a small age difference, they grew close. They played soccer, pulled pranks and just hung out. Cash had a strong personality and Bucky sometimes felt he had to even that out. Maybe this is the reason he is more quiet.
His father and uncle (Cash's father) are mutants so it was no surprise when the two boys manifested. While Cash had super speed, Bucky developed precognition at age 13. They both attended Bellefonte Academy as soon as their parents could get them to. There, Bucky still remained by his cousin's side. Even when Cash became part of the "popular crowd", Bucky was pretty much dragged into it as well. He was athletic, smart and handsome--what's not to like? But it all came crashing down when the SPRITE epidemic struck.
HAPPY.
Much to his (and his family's) dismay, the epidemic took away his powers. Bucky was pretty much getting the hang of predicting the future when all of a sudden, he couldn't do it anymore. His parents were sad--they liked their mutant son. And since he was not one any longer, he could no longer attend Bellefonte. This broke him because he was just about to start his senior year and now he had to start all over again at the local high school.
But he kept his chin up. He would not grieve--he would make the best of the situation. At least, this was what he made people think. He smiled through the pain and convinced everyone that he is perfectly fine. The truth is that Bucky feels depressed. He liked being a mutant too--it made him feel closer to the characters he always loved. Now he was... ordinary. And he didn't know how else to deal with that.
BUCKY.
What even made his parents think "Bach" would be a good first name, he has no idea. How he got his nickname though is a story in itself. Cash had introduced him to some of his friends as Bach. Mishearing it, they naturally assumed his was another money related name and thought it was Buck. When the confusion was revealed, Cash laughed his ass off and started teasing his cousin as Bucky. And it stuck. The end.
