Anna has the ability to manipulate earth and it’s elements. She is able to shape minerals derived from earth and use them as projectiles or shields. She also has the ability to easily burrow through earth for up to one hour before she loses energy.

LIMITATIONS:
She can only manipulate existing earthen materials and not create them
She has to be close to the element to manipulate it
She can only manipulate what she can see, nothing beyond that
She cannot create major earthquakes, just enough to crack the surface over a fifty yard radius
She cannot grow trees overnight, just able to manipulate the soil to make it grow faster over time
She cannot make barren lands fertile

SIDE-EFFECTS:
She always smells earthy
Her hands are always dusty
She’s prone to dry skin, rashes and irritation
She needs more showers than normal, using special soaps and lotions
Overusing her abilities causes head-splitting migraines that can knock her out cold

Even the way they sat showed how vastly different the Lawson twins were. While Abby lounged on the arm of the couch they both occupied, Anna sat with one foot tucked under the other, her hands folded neatly on her lap. They were both trying to convince their parents that this move would be good for the family as a whole.

“I’ve already spoken to an associate of mine and there's a transfer request in my room. I'll be working for one of the Conners, should I be able to make this move.” Anna said, her tone low yet firm.

“They have an opening at the animal clinic which is close to Alex’s apartment so I can drop by every now and then. Mess things up a bit for her and Ezra. We can cook for them because who even knows if they use their kitchen or not.” Abby chuckled with a shrug, one hand running through her loosely tied ponytail.

Anna offered her parents a soft smile as she leaned forward, her loose hair fell over her shoulder as she moved. “And you know we’re going to be taking care of each other in addition to looking out for Alex. And when you visit, everyone will be able to be at the same place at the same time. The apartment we looked at has two extra rooms and it’s well within both our budgets. So it has a place for you both and Ava if she’s also coming over.

“After what happened to Alex, I just feel like this move is the best for the whole family.” Anna nodded to emphasise her point.

Abby could see her parents already considering it and she smirked, looking over to Anna who had reached a hand out to pat Abby’s thigh, as if to quiet her down. The pair looked at their parents expectantly, Abby with a smirk and Anna with a knowing smile. The Lawson patriarch turned to look at his wife who in turn was staring at the twins, her scrutinous gaze suddenly feeling quite heavy on the twins. Though they needn’t really worry. Anna had a good head on her shoulders and Abby got by, she knew, well enough on her own. Them together were a force to be reckoned with.

She was just reminded of the time when she first had to let them both go to Kalispell when they were thirteen. Back then, she knew they were coming back. It was different now.

“You’re both adults.” The Lawson matriarch finally sighed and the twins knew they had both their parents blessing. “We’ll check up on you guys still. That’s not going to change. But this move is on you. If anything goes wrong, you’re both going to answer for it.”

Anna nodded with a relaxed smile. “We know. We won’t let you down. Alex is in good hands.”
