It was weird to think that the roles would be reversed here. Three years ago, Gemma Dove tried to convince Quinn to join the newspaper as their photographer. He refused but still accepted now and then to help out. He might just end up there during an event and he always had his camera with him. The fashion show, for example. Although it was not the same thing, since he was there precisely to take pictures of the fashion show, Erika accepting him to be there when he suggested. He never thought that would happen but it did.
He did hope she wouldn’t refuse his offer, like he refused hers. Asking people he didn't know at all to model for him was both difficult for him and awkward. Some found him creepy still, or figured it was just an excuse. It wasn’t. He was not trying to flirt or used this as an excuse to make naked pictures or anything that weird. He just wanted to keep working his art and for that, he needed models.
The problem was that Quinn didn’t know a whole lot of people. Ashley had beautiful eyes but he was not sure she’d agree to play the model. Neither was Erin. And that was about all the people Quinn knew personally. He might know some others but not closely. In the same way he knew Gemma. And when he thought about said people, her name popped up. Perhaps it had to do with the fact he had the school’s newspaper close by when that happened. Still, it was worth a shot. She was such a bubbly girl, if there was one up for anything, it had to be her, right?
Where to find a young reporter? The best guess was the newspaper’s office. She might also be off snooping for her next scoop, or just being a popular girl with her group of friends. The office was still the first stop to make, the most logical one. He might also be able to leave her a message there if she was not here.
But she was, so he didn’t need to leave any message at all. He recognized her, even if he doubted she would recognize him. “Hm, hello?” he said as he entered, knocking first to make his presence known. Yeah, she was about as he remembered.
