Snake In A Box

“Selina, I’m here. Sorry about the wait, I almost forgot to bring my housewarming gift.” Seiji spoke up after giving Selina’s door a good knock. He had her address and she had wanted to show him her place for a while now and here he was. A bit late by a few minutes but he would have died first if he showed up at one of his closest friends place without a house warming gift. He also had a few other gifts since he had missed the chance to give her a Christmas gift on the holidays and Akiko’s gift; which was herself, but that was so very like Akiko and Seiji had already okayed it with his reptile.

If Selina did want the snake, then it was hers and if not then it would be played off as more of a ‘joke gift’ or something along those lines. Seiji was not worried about it either way. What he was worried about was the fact that he was late and if that would upset Selina or not. Likely not, but he could not help but to worry either way. He of course was dressed at his best, had two gift boxes tucked under one arms and some clothing laid out over his other. One of the clothing articles was for Selina and the other was what he picked out to be his most casual wear.

After all, he recalled how Selina was going to dress him so they could go to her favorite ‘casual’ place to eat. That was the plan he came up with and they both had agreed that today could work but Seiji had left out the whole figuring out where to change at. They could have done it at his room where he would have more clothing options but since he was going to check out her place he figured he could get changed there as well to knock out two birds with one stone. “You good in there?” Seiji quickly whispered to Akiko in the box, who let out a hiss and then was silent when she picked up on the vibrations getting closer to the door.

    Selina heard the knock and swore as she pulled on her favorite purple robe, her hair still dripping from the shower. She’d lost track of time as she’d merely enjoyed standing under the hot water. Selina had a tendency to get lost in thought sometimes, and when she was showering she was particularly prone to getting spacey. Selina almost ran to the door, tying the fabric around her waist so she wasn’t too greatly underdressed… which was not what she was typically worried about when alone with a man. The half-amused thought disappeared quickly as she heard Seiji speaking.

    “Oh, no worries Seiji,” she called through the door, “I got off late from work,” she explained as she unlocked the bolt and finally opened the door, the ice cold air causing her to shiver a bit. Normally she’d be wearing something more than a robe… but circumstances being what they were, Selina quickly ushered him inside. “Please come in,” she said, feeling a brief tinge of disappointment at not seeing Akiko as well.

    Selina was incredibly happy Seiji was here though. He was one of the few people she could truly relax around and she found herself treasuring that more and more as time went by. She closed the door behind him and gave him an apologetic smile, “And sorry about-” she waved her hand indicating her robe, “time got away from me.” Selina then visibly brightened at the sight of his presents, “Oh! That reminds me, I got some gifts for you too!” she added. She hadn’t been sure what to get Seiji, as he seemed to have everything already, so she’d made him something instead.

If Seiji had known that she would have just been getting out of the shower, he would have offered to come back later. However, he did not know so he was not at all prepared to see her in just a robe and clearly looking like she had just gotten out of the shower. It was not like he didn't want to see her naked and wet body; it was the opposite in fact. A fact, that was a problem because he felt awful the second after his eyes had drifted completely down his friend’s body. He didn't even make an effort to try and cover it up because it just kind of happened without his control and he just felt awful.

"I could come back later; it would be no trouble at all." Seiji responded, but he did go inside since she already invited him in. Plus it was chilly outside and he didn't want her to have to deal with talking to him and coming up with a decision when she was wet and the cold air could get her sick. Akiko was already getting antsy to see Selina, but she had to wait in order for herself to be a gift thing to work. If she was not all wrapped up then she didn't feel like a gift. Seiji tried to prove to her that she didn't need to be in a gift box to count as a gift, but there was no changing the reptiles mind.

"I-it's okay. This is your home after all, you could be walking around naked and I would have no right, nor would I complain." Seiji quickly informed her and then started to turn red. Why did he have to say naked? Why did he say he would not complain? Well, he honestly would not complain and it was not just the fact that he was certain he would enjoy the view that he would look at for a second before looking away in shame. "Really? You didn't have to get me anything." Seiji said as he moved to set his clothing down over the back of her couch to free up his hands before holding the box with Akiko out to Selina. "Could you open up this gift first, really quick?" Seiji soon asked, with a friendly smile. He could hear Akiko's thoughts and knew she was not going to be patient for much longer before she would try and break out of the box.
