Gemma walked with a slight upbeat to her step, her black winter boots clacking down the Academy hallway. The blonde had a free period, and thankful for the pause in her studies, was heading towards the library. Her blonde curls were bouncing on her shoulders, her trademark sunny smile practically radiating sunshine to anyone who passed her in the school corridors. A pastel pink winter dress swung over her thighs, keeping beat with her boots. She however slowed her footsteps to a stop, casting a look over her shoulder; She was sure she could hear music...
She looked round the hallway as she tried to pinpoint the source of the warm musical tones, her eyes quickly finding the source; The Academy's auditorium. Gemma approached the double doors, curiosity urging her forward.
The blonde slowly pulled the door open a fraction, peering through the gap into the dark auditorium. Most of the seats were cast in shadow, but the stage lights were brightly lit and spending their golden hue over the stage, illuminating a seated figure. Gemma blinked her bright eyes, smiling at the sight of the young woman, her fingers dancing over the strings of a guitar. The reporter knew the girl... The short haired, pretty Riley Forrester had been her knight in shining armour during a rather embarrassing incident involving a corset; Gemma knew she played... But hadn't heard her until now. She seemed completely swept up in her music, the warm notes spilling beautifully from the stage and filling the auditorium with musical light.
Then she began to sing.
Her voice was as warm as the notes she played. Gemma slowly opened the door a little more, watching Riley with admiration as she slipped into the auditorium, closing the door behind her quietly; The reporter crept to the nearest seat, gently putting her pink satchel on the floor before climbing up onto the seat and sitting with her legs hugged to her chest. She slowly put her chin on her knees, watching the girl who was so immersed in her performance it didn't appear as though she'd noticed Gemma's presence just yet. It felt strangely magical, being the only other person in an auditorium hearing such beautiful music.
