Mayor Fisher of Montana….Yes that did have a certain ring to it, didn’t it?
Still, she almost assuredly couldn’t rely on the fact that she was the clear only legitimate candidates, and there was a lot of things she still needed to do before she was elected to a powerful position (WHEN not if) Of course she had people who would be happy to do this for her...but she supposed it made for good imagery if she was seen to put up posters around the town., by the time she has done she would have the area totally covered in posters….which just happened to have quite negative anti mutant comments on it……
“Excuse me” Elizabeth smiled her plastic smile at the girl she spotted nearby holding a stack of posters with the legend “MUTANT FREAKS OUT” in big bold letters “Be a dear and help me hang these up won’t you?”

Devyn was on her way home, having to walk since her bike was currently out of commission still and being worked on to be fully fixed so it could operate at its best. It was going to cost a decent amount of money so she was a bit caught up in her thoughts on trying to get a second job. What could she do? She still was uncertain how she felt working at the bar and it was a decent job when tips were good but at her current level it was not the best. She could ask her wife for a bit of help when it came to money but that always felt wrong to her.
Thankfully she still had money in savings but she wanted to save that for emergencies and more important things, like the cost of starting a family with her wife. A women’s voice calling out to her broke her out of her thoughts on what second job she could get that would work with her schedule at being a full time college still. The women was already smiling and asking for help and Dev very rarely turned someone down to help them when she was not all that busy. “Sure, where do you wa-" Devyn began to say as she went over closer to the women to help her out.
That was until she saw what was printed on the posters. Now, she didn’t really care that the posters were talking about mutants, it was more so the word ‘Freaks’ that was bothering her. “You know mutants have been out for like three years in this area, right?” Devyn asked as she picked up on of the papers from eh stack to read what it was about. She was not certain if she was going to help until she knew what she was fully helping out with.

Oh it was so wonderful to see that even in these days of such political unease and a divided community that people were still willing to be so helpful, the idea brought a little smile to the face of the candidate for mayor and a little tidder from her voice as she continued the job at hand making sure to cover the entire wall with hateful anti mutant slogans, humming a cheerful little tune under her voice as she did almost like what was was doing was of no real consequence whatsoever….
So doing what she could for her dear community….
“Oh I know” Elizabeth muttered happy to hand out the propaganda to someone that seemed to be legitimated interested in her organization, maybe she was about to gain another member of the AMA “Horrible isn’t it? Oh but don’t worry, I fully intend on making sure they go back in hiding where they belong….”

Devyn had at first thought this women was pretty; off limits, but pretty. That idea was quickly going away and being replaced with a growing dark feeling building up inside her. It didn't help that SPRITE had made her all the more dangerous with her power now, especially given it caused her to be a lot easier to go unstable at the drop of a hat. She took a deep breath, not really believing that this women had to be serious. How could she be when she was humming and hanging up such posters in an area that was basically the mutant hub.
"You know that...yet you have a problem with them. You don't have to live here you know." Devyn responded as a low growl started to build up in her through. Her green eyes were already starting to turn darker but she managed to keep herself under control still. It would not help the mutant case if she mauled this woman to death. Even if it would feel good and she was certain that she could argue her case...somewhere. No, think about your wife. You don't want her to have to deal with this. She won't want to have a family with you if you don't try harder at being stable. Devyn thought to herself, taking yet another deep breath.
"Good luck with that. If anything you are just going to find yourself in a world of pain." Devyn said, holding onto the posters still but she didn't move at all to hang them up or anything like that. "Why don't you like them, anyways?" Devyn soon asked because everyone had to have a reason. If she could understand it, she could change this women’s opinion...or make herself even more unstable.
