Alaska made her way through the door at the top of the stairs and looked around. The roof was empty of people. Just the way she wanted it. "Who the hell does she think she is? I just got settled in, and she's already jumping down my damn throat. FUCK OFF, MOM!" Exasperated, she sat against the wall right outside of the door, her back sliding down the wall until she reached the ground. Alaska pulled her black wool jacket tight around her before looking up at the sky. The grey expanse that covered the day like a blanket remained calm. Alaska looked back down as her phone began to ring once more. She quickly flipped it over and popped the battery out. Scoffing, she reached into the pocket of her blue jeans with rips in the knees. When her hand returned to the cold roof air it held a joint and a lighter.
Nonchalantly, Alaska quickly pressed the joint between her lips and lit it. This was her way of calming herself down after bouts with her mother. She knew that her mother only wanted what was best for her. But she didn't have to be such a bitch about it. Drag after drag, she felt herself calm, until she sat head up, looking back at the blanket of sky. "I guess there's always something to say about fresh air."

Okay today, today had not been a good day. For today had been the day of English talks, we're using the term talk loosely here. It was more of LDR getting up to the front of the class, taking a breath and then running the hell out of the classroom. And that what really brought him to the roof, well that and the fact that they always checked his room now. He really wasn't paying much attention as he shoved past the door and stopped running just before the edge of the roof.
"F-F-F-Fuck. F-F-F-Fuck. FUCK!" The boy sat down, crossing his legs and brought his hands up to his mouth "I-I-I-I-I'm go-going to ha-ha-have to do i-i-it at on-one point..." He groaned and lay backwards, eyes widening as he realised someone was sat across the way from him. His face flushed and he gave a small wave "So-So-Sorry i-i-i-..." He shook his head and looked upwards. The smell of the girl's joint slowly wafted towards him. Shit...Should have brought mine own.

Alaska had just finished the joint when a boy suddenly came crashing through the door. Making his way towards the edge, she bag to worry that he was going to jump when he finally stopped, and crumpled to the ground. Acknowledging the boy's apology, she giggled. The effects were already starting to take effect.
Reaching into her pocket, Alaska revealed another joint. "Hey, you're fine. But you look pretty stressed. You want one?" she nods to the boy. She presses it to her lips and lights it, before extending it out to the boy. Sometimes the decisions you make are good and sometimes they're bad. Regardless, she was too high to care.

LDR considered the girl's offer for a moment before moving towards her and sitting down next to her, the day had been too much for him. He took a hold of the joint and held it to lips for a a few moments before offering it back towards the girl "Th-Thanks." The boy sighed before pushing his head against the wall. Just give it a couple of seconds to kick in, stop worrying.
And then it hit him, that warm fuzzy feeling he got, the dulling of the clamoring voices in his head. His head rolled around to study the girl before he put a hand out "LLLLLL...LDR...you?"

Alaska gauged the finnicky kid as he took the joint and hit it. She giggled when he offered it back to her, and revealed another joint that she promptly lit. "You can keep that one, champ," she said. She was always pretty chill about weed, and with the amount of money that her parents made she never worried about paying for it. This was one of her favorite past times, and she never could refuse an adorable, socially awkward kid his fix when he needs it.
When the kid introduced himself, Alaska couldn't help but giggle. He was so awkward, but in the cutest way. "My name's Alaska. It's nice to meet you. Sorry if I peer pressured you or anything, but guaging how you didn't cough when you took a hit, you've smoked before," she giggles, while lighting the next joint. Rolling joints were one of the things she enjoyed about smoking, like how some people like origami. "So what brings you up here, cutie?"

Normally LDR would have wanted to disapear from existence once a girl giggled but the joint had started to take a hold of him, all the nagging voices were gone for the moment. He shrugged at the girl "A co-co-couple of ti-times...ye-ye-yeah..." This was a lie for LDR had been smoking for the past couple years, apart from that time where Blair tried to get him to stop (yeah that didn't last long).
Looking the girl over again, LDR wasn't sure if Alaska was taking the mick out of him or...well he wasn't really sure what else it could be. He took another drag of the joint before replying "Eng-English ta-talk...and, as you ca-can see, I don't ta-talk..." He shrugged again, it was a perfectly reasonable reason "Wh-What ab-about yourself?" As she folded the joint, he noted she was nearly as fast at as he was, minus a couple miles per hour.

Alaska knew that a couple times wasn't the case. Someone who'd only smoked a couple times before would still be coughing a bit. Smoke isn't something you get used to quickly. Brushing the small lie aside, she listened to LDR's reasoning for being on the roof. "Yeah, it kind of sucks that they kind of single you out for things you can't help sometimes. Totally blows. As for me....I guess we can just say my mom called earlier," Alaska said, leaving it at that. She finished rolling the next joint and stuffed it in a chewing gum pack, and returned it to her pocket from whence it came.
Alaska flicked her blonde hair over her shoulder and pursed her lips in thought. "So do you know anyone who lives in 202? I actually haven't met any of my roommates yet," she asked, face returning to her normal relaxed Alaska face.

LDR shrugged, a person's problems were their own and there was need to poke your nose in it, whatever deal she had with her mother was none of his business. He flicked the end of the roll-up away and looked upwards, attempting to savor the last moments of it's numbing. Eyebrows raised at her question about the occupants of room 202 "Uh...I-I-I-I do, you pro-probably haven't seen me much I just kind of...uhmm...crash late and leave early." He shrugged, deciding whether or not he should put out a hand to shake.
"Th-There's also this other gi-girl...uhmmm Z-Z-Ziggy, I-I-I think." His eyes flickered over Alaska again, trying once again to read her.
