Fiona gently shut the door behind her and couldn't stifle the yawn that left her. She wasn't really sure why one of the students had been up so early, but they'd found some sort of problem with their bathroom that Fiona ended up heading over to fix. She really ought to head back to the basement now and get ready for bed. She was exhausted from tonight, and was eagerly awaiting her bed and complete darkness. Even if that did come off rather...strange considering it was the basement. Still, at this point she was even missing her little shadowlings. That was certainly a sign that she was tired and needed some sleep.
She started her way down the hall, mostly dragging herself instead of really walking. Why was she so tired tonight? She hadn't done anything different, at least as far as she could remember. She'd woken up at the same time too. Although... She had absorbed one of the more mature shadowlings and had to stay locked in the basement for a few minutes. Maybe that was it. It could've been, and it was the only different thing she had done all night.
But then she was ripped from her thoughts as she accidentally bumped into someone. Squeaking as she was yet again surprised by someone, Fiona took a step back. "S-sorry!" She apologized swiftly, blushing a little. Weren't most students asleep this early?

Gabriel hadn't dropped the habit of prowling around in his snow leopard shape during the night time, but after breaking his wrist one night and getting into a street fight the next, he'd decided to limit his explorations to the campus for a while. If only to keep the strange girl Zoey from appearing in a puff of feathers and lecturing him. It seemed he couldn't do anything mildly unhealthy these days without earning a repercussion from a stranger.
The corridors were starting to lighten as hours passed, just enough for Gabriel to begin heading back to his dorm. He wouldn't have time to sleep before class, but living in that constant state of tire was something he was used to by now. A little drowsy he allowed his eyes to shut for a moment and tried to find his way by memory and sound alone. He barely heard the additional pair of soft footfalls, but when he did his eyes shot up and a low growl tickled in his throat.
Too late though, the rather large predator had already been walked into, much to his surprise. Rocking back to sit on his haunches, Gabriel cocked his head and glared at the woman. She clearly wasn't a student, and he couldn't understand why faculty would be out so late. Perhaps she was an intruder then, and most definitely worth eating. Seeing as he couldn't speak in his current form, he focused his attention on decided whether or not she'd become his breakfast instead.

To Fiona's shock she had bumped into a... Leopard? Well now, it most certainly had to be a student didn't it? Unless of course it was some sort of pet, but that would be ridiculous. At least...she certainly hoped it was a student. "Sorry again. I wasn't aware that any students were up at this hour..." She admitted. It just had to be a student. Really, who would have a leopard for their pet anyhow? The school wouldn't allow it anyways. Right? Right....
But she really should be paying attention to the leopard (who was hopefully a student) glaring at her. It made her feel a little nervous. It seemed to be contemplating her, and Fiona had the eerie feeling it wanted to make a meal out of her. Which was ridiculous of it was a student. However she still felt shadows draw and pool to her just in case. Ready to transform her even if a shadowling might get loose. She was not looking to be an early morning snack to anyone, even such a beautiful cat.
"Um....Are you looking for your dorms perhaps? I could take you there, but my shift is over and I really need to return to my room." She explained. She really needed to return to the basement before true morning hit. Already it was pretty late. Erm....early.
