How long had it been since Erin had actually hung out with Lydia? She was not really certain given how the past three years seemed to pass by as if they had never actually happened. The two of them no doubt were busy with their own lives; especially Lydia, who was a cop now. Erin was busy too but not by much since her work tended to be pretty easy for someone who had been doing it since they were little. There was a challenge here and there but for the most part she didn’t really have too many difficulties with her job.
No matter what the excuse was they had both texted and found a good time to meet up to hang out with one another. That was why Erin was outside Lydia’s place now, since that was the agreed upon hangout spot. Erin didn’t really know why she felt a little nervous as she approached the door, but assumed it was the usual ‘you’re about to be around an attractive girl’ issue she still had. She might not of had her innocence anymore but that had been an event that had been a process and it had not fully gotten rid of Erin’s issue to crush on pretty much every girl and have a problem talking to them.
She was better, but still not at the level that she wanted to be. Erin gave a hard knock on the other girl’s door. “Lydia, I’m here…and super early. Finished up a match sooner than I thought I would.” Erin said, the latter words mostly mumbled to herself. She was at least ten or fifteen minutes early then the agreed upon time. She would have fooled around a bit more but didn’t want to risk getting caught up in something and being late. So here she was wondering if Lydia was even around yet.
