Despite the many years Franck had been to Bellefonte, he never really visited the school’s lab. He never had any reason to. And it was not like Franck to go somewhere he had no reason to be. His power had never required for him to do tests and if Sprite hit him like so many others, it did in such a way that he did not need any extra care. It barely affected him in fact. One might even argue that it was more the result of years of practice and his knowledge of psychology that made him better. What the Sprite did however was to give him a lot of interrogations.
He was told someone in here might have answers to some of his questions and it was the reason why he was suddenly visiting this part of the school. When he walked in though, he felt a little out of place. They must have a lot of work, they likely wouldn’t have time for him. Plus there was the fact he never felt very comfortable in an environment so sterile like this one. It was too cold, too impersonal. There was also the fact he was not there for a scan or a blood test or anything they must be doing when not disturbed by people like him with silly questions. He tried to forget about it as he looked for someone working here.
He noticed a door near. On it, it was written ‘Side-effect Specialist’. What he was looking for? He hesitated before knocking. Would they have answers for him and, more importantly, would they have the time to answer him? Only one way to find out. He knocked at the door and waited. He was swaying slightly on his feet as he looked around, feeling more and more than he should leave before taking someone’s precious time. He didn’t feel like he had a good reason to be here.
