Toby was wearing sunglasses.
Indoors.
In the middle of the winter.
Granted this fashion statement was giving him a few unusual glances in his direction from the general public, although it was a rare occurrence that he didn't gain at least one during the course of the day, so this small issue didn't bother him too much... He had a far more important task at hand.
Pacing. Pacing and waiting. Then pacing some more. He had opted for his jacket with a false fur lined hood, which he had up, in some frankly poor attempt at hiding his identity; He pushed it's sleeve back to check his watch with a small pout. He hoped she wouldn't be late... He was getting desperate now. It was mere weeks until the traditional winter festivities that made up Christmas, mere weeks! Well, it was more like two months, but when it came to his wife, Toby was determined to plan ahead in an effort to make the festive end of the year perfect.
She deserved it... That and so much more. A day didn't go by that even now, after nearly a year of marriage, Toby didn't think on how lucky he was. Charity Legrange, now Croft, was a stunning woman, whom he often declared to her had won his heart the moment he'd laid eyes on her. A bit overly dramatic perhaps, but Toby was a true romantic.
Charity was the reason for today's mission, and therefore, since aforementioned mission was a secret, Toby had to hide his identity. You know, in case his wife fancied a quick bite to eat in town and happened upon the top secret operation; Of course Toby hadn't taken into consideration that should Charity see him she'd simply recognise his jacket. This was perhaps a hole in his well thought out mission, but despite that the secret gift finding operation with his secret operative was going perfectly to plan so far.
As long as his contact turned up.
He shifted his eyes behind the glasses, keeping an eye on the entrance doors to the mall; She might not recognise him thanks to his flawless disguise, so he was paying close attention.
