Climbing in Your Window, Snatchin' Your Treats Up

Dahlia's tail was whipping about, back and forth, back and forth. It's white tip a blur, almost drawing lines in the air. She wasn't frustrated or annoyed, her tail could be deadly destructive to the items in her room if that were the case. No, she was nervous trying to get every little bit of her room neatened up before she even thought about trying to text Devyn about her little surprise. "Alrigh', closet's all stuffed, no shoes on da floor's, got mah bed all made... Anythang else Ah should be doin' first?" Dahlia tapped her chin in thought, her vicious tail slowing down before finally stopping.

With a shrug of her shoulders, the cat-girl bounced over to her bed, falling back onto it with a purr. Her left hand reached over to her desk and grabbed her cell phone. "Rooms clean, toys're hidden. Now all Ah gotta do is call da girl," she said, talking to no one in particular. She went to her texts and found the contact she needed: Wolf-Girl. Yes, that was what she was in there as. Sure, she could have easily put her in as Devyn or Dev or even Devvie but where was the fun in that? Dev was Dahl's little Wolf Pup, after all, no matter how bruised the cat might get after calling her friend that.

Biting her tongue slightly, she wrote: yo wolfie. got some meat treats for u. windows open. come at own convenience (though try 2 hurry) P= She reread it a couple of times before nodding her head and pressing send. Then she turned her attention to her window. She knew Dev well enough to know just how she'd come entering. She never understood why, for such a lazy girl, she always went about things in the hardest ways. But who was Dahlia to complain? Devyn was hers and that was all that mattered (though don't tell Devyn she said that).

Devyn had just gotten out of the shower, taking one at this time because she had a really nice workout and built up a good sweat. She was lazy, but she was also active. It was a nice balance, or at least she felt it was a nice balance. Workout, eat, and then nap. That’s how she did things, and the only real effort went into her training and working out, and then on major test so she would not fail a class. After that she took things pretty lazy unless it came to flirting. She was busy drying off as she got dressed, music playing through her speakers. A Nightstep song by the name of 'I Hate Music". It was not something you could really sing to, it was something that was nice to work out and dance too. Which was why it was playing.

Then the text came. Grabbing her phone off her bed as she slipped her shirt over her head, working on drying her hair. She was still for a moment, rereading the message several times with a close eye. Everything after that was a blur. From her grabbing her keys, shoving things into her pockets, slipping on shoes, and grabbing her coat. Her towel was still on her head, but it quickly feels down and around her shoulders as she exited her via the window. Her door to her room was already locked, so window was the best bet, didn’t have to take the steps and risk running into people. Scaling down the side of the building before jumping down the rest of the way when she was at a safe height. Then she bolted for the Co-ed Dorms, since she had moved and now lived in the Girls Dorms. It did not take her long at all to get to the Co-Ed Dorm building, but again, people were going in and out, they were in the way, and she was going for the fastest option.

"Damn, why does she live on the eight floor?" Devyn had done this climb before in the past when she tried to be sneaky at night, but it still was not the world greatest thing to do. Okay, that was a lie. There was something about climbing the side of a building that high up, knowing that if you feel you were pretty much going to die or break something. Granted she might have been able to change into her other form and live, but that was something to think about for another time. "I'm here!" Devyn managed to say as she literal crawled and fell into Dahlia's room. Breathing hard from her run and then her quick climb. She was pleased with herself that had to be a new record at getting here. Yet she was unsure if she was sweating or still damp from her shower. She coughed a moment as she still worked on catching her breath, lying out on her kitty's floor. "So...what’s this about meat treats?" Devyn asked looking up at her Dahlia, yeah she would even say that out loud, but she was not feeling super possessive yet.

Dahlia kept looking over at the clock beside her bed. "Tick Tock goes da clock. She'll be heyuh soon," she said to herself. She was counting down the seconds, every one of them. As each second went by, she knew that her little wolf girl would be getting ever closer. And as she saw the arm go over the edge of her window, moving quickly to pull in the adjoining body, she grinned. Her eyes lit up with excitement. She loved these visits, and they always seemed to be so far between. Too far. She missed when her friend was in the co-ed building, just like her. It had been so fun to scale the side from window to window to get to her. Why couldn't it go back to that?

She pushed the thought off to the side and stepped over Devyn's heaving body to close her window. A chilling wind blew through the window, causing a shiver to go through her body, ending with her tail twitching and fluffing up a little. The window slammed shut, a bit harder and louder than she had meant for it too. But it was all good.

Turning on her heels, Dahlia practically bounced to her bed, lacking the grace and finesse the cat-girl usually had. With quickness, though, she snatched the hidden baggie that was under her pillow and hid it behind her back. "Meat treats galooore, loupe. From dem tasty expensive ones ta some jerky Ah bought. Went ta da store t'day jus' ta get it fo' toi," she purred. She could feel her tail twitching again, with excitement, though. Oh so much excitement. She loved this, was loving this with all her heart.

Taking a few steps forward, she hovered over Devyn's body, purring with amusement. "You okay dere, loupe?"

Devyn had felt like she had made it in record timing, having traveled all the way here, and then scaling the side of the building. Heck she better get those treats with how fast she moved to get into her best friend's room. It did feel like forever and it probably was a little bit of forever since they last hung out. Devyn was getting used to that however. Seemed like all her old friends were a bit too busy with other things and she was a loner after all so if they were busy she did not want to bother them. So of course she was pleased when her Kitty had texted her and even offered a reward for getting there at a speedy time. Devyn was still working on catching her breath as she watched her friend move over to get a look at her and then closed the window. Then quickly pouncing on the bed and pulling out one of the reason Devyn was here in the first place.

"Awww, you treat me so good Kitty. Trying to get on my good side for something or just felt like spoiling me?" Devyn asked with a raised brow as she let out a cough and rolled over onto her side. Devyn's green eyes getting distracted with the flicking tail for a moment before she moved to crawl over to Dahlia's bed and rest her head upon it while keeping her body resting on the floor. She would move up onto the bed soon, but for now she was enjoying the floor. She really did enjoying hearing her kitty purr which did cause her to move up onto the bed and start to scratch behind Dahlia's ears. "I'll be fine. Just used all my energy to get here." Devyn admitted as she short of plopped down on the bed after a moment. Reaching out to take the treats from Dahlia because she wanted them oh so very bad.

"How are you doing?" Devyn asked after a moment wanting to check on how her friend was doing as well. With what all was going on, school wise, and just life in general as a mutant here at Bellefonte Academy.

Dahlia giggled at Devyn's words, her eyes sparkling as she stared at her seemingly breathless friend. She kept the treats behind her back, contemplating what trick to have Devyn do before giving them to her. Yes, that was just the kind of girl she was. She'd get her friend here and then make her do a trick for her treats. But, to be fair, she was pretty sure that Devyn would do the same thing. Actually, she had once, if she remembered correctly. Nothing like a little bit of payback to get you through the day. Though part of her wasn't sure she should, not with the speed in which her wolfy friend had gotten there today. Decisions, decisions.

"Nawww, Ah jus' wanna secretly fatten you up, chere. Have a nice, loupe déjeuner," she said with a chuckle. Of course, she was only kidding. Her tone could easily attest to that. But she knew that Devyn would get it. Dahlia was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet, teeming with excitement. Her tail just went back and forth, back and forth. She could see Devyn staring at it, which just seemed to amuse the cat girl all the more. And as her friend started moving towards her bed, Dahlia found herself falling back down against it. "So long as yer doin' a'ight. Cain't have ma loupe hurtin', y'know."

Dahl's head tilted involuntarily to the said Devyn was on, her ears pressing down slightly against her head as she felt them getting scratched. A very feline-esque purr was rumbling in her throat and her eyes were starting to close ever so slightly. She got lost for a moment, loving the attention oh so much. She didn't even care that Devyn had taken the bag of treats out of her hands. She was just so distracted, so comfortable. She even started to lean against her friend ever so slightly. Man she loved this.

"Huh, wha'?" It took her a second for her to understand what was being asked. As simple a question as it had been, she was far too caught up in her ear scratch to have been paying that much attention. "Oh, wait, me? Ah been doin' a'ight. Jus' got school, really. An' mah mornin' routines. But what about you? Ah hear all sorts o' thangs in da grapevine an' rumour mills. Anythang you wantin' ta tell me about?"

"Good luck getting me fat. I work out too much. You would just be eating all muscle." Devyn teased back, understanding her friends joke either way. It was true that Devyn worked out way too much to ever really be fat. She was basically all muscle and didn't really have a pudgy about her. Yet she was not some hulking guy that had veins showing every time she flexed. She was toned and had the whole abs thing going on but she didn't look like some man. Yes she could easily pass for a guy but one of those more 'pretty guys' then like a man guy. If that made any sense. It made sense to Devyn so she figured that was all that mattered. The tail would always distract Devyn for a moment, she was not a cat but just the movement made her want to keep an eye on it, as if it might do something that she would not expect. The temptation to bite it or pull on it was there as well.

"I'm touch you know that. More so worried about you ever getting hurt. You only have nine lives and I'm sure you already used three of them." Devyn teased and has purposely gone for the ear scratching just so she could get to those treats. She knew how it distracted her kitty and how it made it oh so easy to get what she wanted. She snagged the treats and put them behind her bit didn't stop scratching her friends ears because it was always just so cute how she got her friend to purr and lean into her a little. She kept at it ether way and chuckled at Dahlia's confusion, which only proved the whole fact about how easily distracted her friend was when her ears were being scratched. They were soft so it was something Devyn enjoyed to do, knowing all the right spots to pet her friends as well as other cats.

"Good to hear." Devyn responded moving to the other ear now with a sly smirk on her face as she would watch how her friend would react to the whole ear scratching. There was a question again about how Devyn was doing because clearly Devyn's had been leaving things out and Dahlia was talking about rumors she had been hearing. She did have to tell her best friend everything after all. "Well I have a girlfriend, Zoe Wallerstein-Smythe. Well at least she is my girlfriend at the moment, but you know me..." Devyn said, dropping it off there and wondering if Dahlia would let her off the hook on the topic this time around.

"Yum, muscle. Dat's where all da good meat is anyhow. Ah cen even make it all sorts o' tender fer mah cookin'," she countered. Again, just a joke. A simple, simple joke. But part of her was starting to wonder, maybe she should stop all this odd, morbid jokes. Heard by an outsider, and one might think that Dahlia was a cannibal. Something she most certainly was not. She didn't need people thinking it a possibility, though. That could get her into trouble if they did.

Oh, how Dahlia just wanted to look at her friend, but the ear scratching was such a distraction. Devyn just better wait, she would get her back for this. She knew so many of Devyn's little secret quirks that were caused by her shadow wolf form. She was all for abusing them the same way Devyn abused her little feline quirks. The purring just seemed to get louder. Though that was one thing she never understood. True, Dahlia had the physiology of a feline with some aspects of her being, but why was she able to purr like one perfectly. Really, were someone to walk in here, they would have thought a real cat was hiding somewhere in the room. She thought it was a good question. But perhaps not.

She couldn't help but chuckle a little at the words of her friend. "'Ey now, mah loupe. Ah think Ah've only used up two lives, thank you very much," she retorted. Had she not instantly fallen back into the ear scratching, though, she would have stuck her tongue out at her friend. Sometimes, though, she really did wonder. Did cats actually have nine lives? And if they did, would that transfer into her mutation as well? She doubted it, but it was an interesting little thing to ponder a moment. There were some things that should probably be left to the imagination, though, and Dahlia knew that. This was one of those things. And it was something that she wasn't going to even think about trying to test out any time soon.

Of course, now it was time to get down to business, even though the switch from one ear to the other felt absolutely wonderful. She purred a moment before pulling herself away. "Da Pikachu, non?" she asked, trying to lean back a little so that Devyn couldn't get at her ears. "What'chu mean 'at da moment'? Loupe, you ain't thinkin' a' cuttin' it off, a'e you? What, you ain't happy wit' 'er o' somethin'?"

"If you are going to eat me Dahlia, I prefer it be in another way." Devyn said with a smirk, changing up the joke then on her best friend to get back at her in a way. She knew it was all in good fun and kidding and so was she. She was best friends with Dahlia and it had been established a while back that any relationship outside of being friends would not work. Devyn had tried of course, since that was her. Yet, when she had kissed her friend for the first time on the lips it had just been really weird for the both of them. So it was clear that they were just going to stick being friends and Devyn hogging her best friend from getting any action. She would work as the best block if she needed to, if only to make sure that her Kitty got the best when it came to a relationship. Devyn was fully alright with this and would not have it any other way.

Devyn enjoyed her friend in both this form and that cat form, even if she had never been a cat person. She kind of was now with all the friends she had that had cat related powers. Cats were not all that bad, at least the mutant ones; real life ones were in a way. They were just to snooty and just did whatever they pleased, Devyn understanding the doing whatever you pleased part but greatly disliked the being snooty part. Dahlia chuckled at Devyn's words and pointed out that she only used up two of her nine lives. "Are you sure about that? I know that you had to at least have come close to losing one of your lives dealing with me over the years." Devyn teased as she smirked, watching how her Kitty was like pudy in her hands when she got to her friends ears. Using someone’s weakness was the best, even more so when you wanted to distract them from a topic.

Yet Dahlia fought it and leaned away enough out of Devyn's scratch attack to bring the subject back to Zoe. Devyn nodded at the question about the Pikachu, which Devyn didn't really like the name but at the same time it did fit Zoe in a cute way. She was cute, small, and had a way of shocking Devyn and with her power she did leave Devyn feeling numb with a touch. Devyn reached out to try and get back at the ears but Dahlia leaned back so she gave into her friend as she asked about what Devyn was getting out. "You know me Kitty. I can only stick in a relationship for so long. Plus I'm pretty sure she loves me and I really can't be in a relationship when someone loves me like she does." Devyn said as she opened her bag of treats and started to munch on them, shaking her head no at the last questions.

"I'm happy with her, I care about her lot...it's just not my style. Makes me feel weird." Devyn said with a small shrug and offered Dahlia a treat as well as she let out a mixed sigh. One that was happy with the treats but also a little upset because of the topic. "I do plan on breaking up with her at some point, at least asking for a break from the relationship." Devyn said a little after as she tossed more treats into her mouth and munched on them.
