Elsa raised her brows as she recognized the back of Felix Nicholas's head. She would certainly recognize that anywhere, having fairly intimate experience with it and all. Still, there was always a part of her that was almost surprised whenever she encountered the young man. It struck her as being particularly odd given that she was at a coffee shop, which might as well be labeled as a young person meeting ground.
"Hey there stranger," she drawled, stepping up beside him. "Long time no speak," she continued, nodding slightly toward him. She could already feel her mind going out, parsing through his thoughts. She could no more stop herself from doing that than she could looking at him.
"How have you been? I know you've been taking your turn with Isaac," Elsa had to smile at that. Who knew Erika or Drew and didn't end up spending time with Isaac, really? Still, she knew that the baby was definitely a safe topic, and she didn't want to have an awkward moment in the middle of Cool Beans.

Coffee had long been a crutch for Felix during late nights which became late mornings working tirelessly, from hitting the books to modifying some piece of radio equipment. Even now, when he'd passed by the role of student, being promoted to an official adult with the status of a teacher, Felix Nicholas still indulged his coffee habit. He hadn't realised how much he'd been craving Cool Beans coffee until he'd wandered in a few weeks previously; The entire world had shifted, brinking on uncertainty as both humans and mutants alike struggled to find where they fitted in, and yet Cool Beans coffee was still the same. A liquid nostalgia, of a simpler time. A constant in this ever changing world. Or perhaps he was looking far too deeply into it. Felix mused on these thoughts as his gaze took in the menu above the shop's counter, patiently waiting for his turn to order; Although he wasn't sure why he bothered, he rarely ventured from his usual order. He bowed his head, pushing his jacket sleeve back to check his watch, smiling slightly at the ticking hands; He had plenty of time before his lunch break was up. He had a number of lesson plans he needed to sink his teeth into, so the teach was eager to return once he'd finished his beverage break.
That was until a familiar voice spoke out.
Even after all this time, Felix recognised the voice of Elsa Bellefonte instantly. Caught off guard, his heart came an uneasy kick against his chest, which he quelled with a sudden surge of resolve and a quick intake of breath. Before he could turn to face her, the Bellefonte was by his side, her tendrils of thought reaching out, passing through his own. Felix brought his gaze to her, the woman he'd come the closest to falling in love with, a naturally warm smile forming across his lips. "And what's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?" Felix spoke back without a moment's hesitation, forcing any uneasy notion as far back into his mind as he possibly could, allowing instead the honest joy at seeing her again flood the forefront of his brain. Even now, her mental touch was as much a comfort as it had been back then... There were few who could claim they'd held such an intimate relationship with another as his had been with Elsa Bellefonte. Well, whatever it had been... Elsa had always seemed reluctant to define it, and there was little reason to do so now.
Felix's smile widened at the mention of his godson; At least it was a subject they could discuss with little awkwardness. "My aim is to be known as the "Fun Uncle"," He chuckled a little, bringing a hand to the side of his head and running it through his hair. "I love the little guy. I always knew Eri would be a natural mother."
