Nico leaned back and actually smiled. That probably had something to do with what he had on the table between him and Selina. They'd at last had a few drinks at this point; he couldn't quite remember how many. He'd brought a blunt or two along as well, and they'd definitely shared one of those. His homegrown stuff was halfway decent: he'd been getting feedback from friends and locals and all, trying to make a legitimate business of it and get out of the part-time hell he'd found himself in.
Which was part of the reason for the night. That and there was something to just going out and numbing yourself to the world. Even better if you could do it with someone who would then in turn let you feel something toward the end. It all worked out in that strange way. Selina Taylor had been that way for Nico for years now, and he actually found himself enjoying her company, opening up, even.
"Should we be dancing?" he asked, turning his gaze toward the dance floor. The moving people seemed strangely frantic and slowed to him. Nico frowned as he looked: It definitely wasn't his scene but, well, it wouldn't be the first time. he looked to Selina then, quirking a brow upward, making sure she realized that the question had been legitimately laid on the table.

Selina had never smoked much, and especially not recently due to her current job, but a blunt every once in while with a friend wasn't going to hurt anything... particularly when she didn't have work tomorrow, besides, it was a great way to unwind and relax. The fact that Nico had actually started growing pot somewhat amused her, but at the same time she occasionally felt a flicker of guilt as she was well aware that she had probably not been the best influence.
Selina took a sip of her drink and looked out at the dance floor. The music was fast paced and upbeat and she absently realized her foot was tapping in time to the beat. She hadn't lost her love of music and dancing over the years, that was for certain. Her mother and Maria had both made sure of that. Selina loved having them here with her in Kalispell, and she knew she wouldn't be leaving them behind again for some time.
As she heard Nico ask about dancing, Selina grinned lazily and met his dark eyes, "Only if you're up for it," she offered honestly. She knew dancing in a club wasn't really his favorite thing to do, so she didn't mind just enjoying the drinks and catching up. Selina felt comfortable around him, which was unusual for her. He was something of a constant for her and she had gradually started confiding in him as he had with her. Trust was something incredibly hard to come by for Selina, particularly with men, but Nico had somehow managed to get her to lower her guard... not that she'd be quick to admit such a thing, but then with Nico, she'd never had to be.
