"You can't keep putting it off," Zoe argued softly as she stared up at Devyn Solway, smiling as she so often did. The slender photographer had dressed for the weather, which in her case meant a beret and a light jacket over a fairly fashionable set of clothing: when you lived with someone who had money and loved buying you things, your clothes had a tendency to do well. Though it was entirely unlikely that Devyn would've been focused on Zoe's clothing even if the girl hadn't been holding up a binder.
"You know that Vera wants you to look through the photos too," Zoe reminded her friend, nodding again. "If you two want me to make this art project actually work, you're going to have to contribute," Zoe tried to look as firm as possible. Years had given her a good deal more backbone, particularly when it dealt with her friends, and the Solways definitely counted for that. She gestured slightly with her head, indicating the house beyond and subtly hinting that Devyn should just give in and let her inside.
Zoe would totally call Vera if she needed to. She just liked to think that wouldn't be necessary.

Dev wanted to let out a groan at Zoe's words, but the other girl did have a point. That didn't mean that Dev was going to be any less stubborn about it, because she really just didn't feel like it. She and Zoe had managed to remain friends over the year but it had always been a balancing game between not really being around one another when significant others were around. That was kind of bad when you thought about it, but things were purely innocent for Dev around Zoe and it was not like she minded Zoe being around when Vera was around.
She just didn’t like it when she was around Zoe and Riley was there as well. Some things just didn't change and that was one thing that would never change for Dev, no matter who Zoe ended up with at the end of the day. Dev was wearing what she typically wore at the bar, having to go to work later on tonight so was already dressed for it so she would not have to change later. "I already said that I was leaving it to you two. I don't have the artistic eye for that kind of thing. You two can handle it." Devyn pointed out. She really didn't have an eye for it and it, but Vera would press eventually too so it really was best to get it out of the way.
Plus Zoe was being Zoe and not giving up, which Dev could not help but to still find cute and it was hard to keep saying no to all that cute. Dang feelings for a person that would never go away, getting in the way even still to this day. "What is this for again? Are you getting a grade for it or was it something Vera asked for, because I don't remember." Devyn asked, she really didn't remember. It was very possible that Vera had planned this out or Dev just forgot. Dev's green eyes looked at Zoe for a moment, before she opened up the door and held it open for Zoe to come in. "Alright, you win. I'll look over them. Do you want anything?" Dev asked as she would follow Zoe in after and head to the kitchen of she and Vera’s apartment.
