POWER: Bubble Creation
Ava’s power is the creation of bubbles. Naturally, Ava’s body secretes a soapy like substance - which is slimy and a bit sticky to the touch – onto her skin, though it is concentrated on her hands and forearms. This substance is somewhat similar to saponin, a compound which creates a soapy lather. Her bubbles often change colour, depending on the heat and humidity of the area, due to the way the chemicals in the substance react. The secretion has a scent that would remind one of raspberries and mango, a scent created again by the chemicals in the substance.

Ava simply has to blow on her hands to create bubbles, much like one would blow in to a bubble wand. She doesn’t not have the ability to manipulate her bubbles, she cannot tell them where to go, nor are her bubbles indestructible. They are just bubbles, nothing more, nothing less. If poked, they will pop.

LIMITATIONS:
-Skin exposed to water (rain etc) supresses ability to make bubbles as it washes away soapy like substance.
-Heat can dry out skin and suppress power.
-Blood sugar has to be kept quite high for body to produce substance.
-It is difficult to produce bubbles in damp or humid areas as water molecules in the air thin the substance secreted onto her skin.

SIDE-EFFECTS:
-Slimy feeling skin
-Slight fear of germs
-OCD – Everything has a place and must be clean.
-Itchy skin if secretion dries.
-Higher need for sugary food.
-Dehydration
-Sore eyes – Having bubbles pop in your face all the time isn’t fun! Soap burns!
-No bad bodily odour – constant smell of mangos and raspberries.

An entry from Ava's Diary.

Hey there new Diary! Been as your new, I think you should know a little bit about me! After all, you are gonna hear my inner most thoughts!

Well, first things first, I was born on the 1st of May in West Weymss, a small village in Fife, Scotland. I was 7.3 pounds and it was a sunday afternoon. My parents are Mary-Margret Ellis and Angus Ellis. I was brought up in a little cottage at the edge of West Weymss. Me and my sister, Holly, who is 3 years older then me, owned a shire named Rusty, but he died a few years ago. My childhood was awesome, I spent alot of time exploring the beach and coves.

When I was 15, I began to get the slimey stuff on my skin, mostly my hands, which smelt like mangos and raspberries. My parents got freaked out, we all thought i had some exotic disease! We went to the doctors, who just said it was hormons, though he didnt look sure. We went home, and spent a few days trying to see if we could was this stuff off my skin.

One day, I think a few days after out doctor's trip, me and Holly were out playing at the beach, and i went to blow some sand off my hands. And I made bubbles. I tell you.. it was sooo weird! We ran back home to show my parents, who freaked out even more! Luckily, the next day a recruiter turned up at our door, and explained it all!

So it turned out im a mutant! I was taken to St. Bethany's, which was a school for mutants. It was super nice there, even though it was super far from home, aand they taught me how to make my bubbles better. I learnt why i could make bubbles as well! Apparently, my mutant gene made my body produce a compound thats like soap, so i could make bubbles when it was secreted onto my skin! I spent 4 years in St. Bethany.

A few months ago, my Da got offered a job over in Montana as a vet. He asked us all if we wanted to go, amd we all said yes! It took a while to plan, but a few weeks ago we arrived here! Its super pretty and warm, though i miss the rain. In a few days, i start at my new school, Bellefonte, another mutant school in Kalispell. I hope its going to be fun!

Well anyway, i best get some sleep! Night!

Not much has happened to Ava in the past 3 years., its just be a relativly normal... if the bubble girls life can be considered normal.

She began to study dance and phycology, two things which quickly became her passions. She became verh adept at both. She also found she was very interested in training mutants. When she graduated, she decided to become a dance teacher and counsler, as well as occassionally training a student or two. She isnt really sure why she chose this path... maybe its because she really enjoys dancing and helping others, plus she thinks school has been alot harder for some students because of the publics knowlege of mutans, and maybe she could just be there to help.
