Thomas wasn’t exactly what you could consider a nature lover. He didn’t give a shit about the environment and all the shit about finding peace and balance or whatever the hell else it was you were supposed to find by staring a few still trees. Unfortunately though, nature was about the only place he could go around here to escape the other students. With his power, being around people for extended periods of time was exhausting, so he had to get away somehow. And around here, that meant going into the woods.
Or up towards the lake. The lake wasn’t too bad. A few too many mosquitos, but other than that it was a nice place to go to be alone, which was why he was there now. He’d brought his computer with him and was currently playing a mindless game to pass the time. He’d been far enough away from society for the past few hours to be able to stand a little social interaction by this point, but he still wasn’t ready to go back to the school.
There were way too many people there, and besides, despite the mosquitos, he didn’t mind the quiet out here. It was nice to be able to relax without having to deal with other people’s emotions bombarding him everywhere he went. Thomas found he could also ignore his own so much easier when he wasn’t constantly trying to deal with other people’s issues.

Even Ellen, needed a bit of quiet from time to time. People tended to annoy her quite easy and normally Ellen way of dealing with these said problems was....well, not exactly pleasant and usually involved the person who annoyed her in the first place is made very very sorry. but from time to time Ellen, just didn't want to work up the effort to get herself angry. Some people just weren't worth Ellen's time and effort, so instead she choose to simple walk it off...
and who said she didn't know how to show restraint....
So she simply sat back took a deep breath and walked by the lake hoping that it would calm the anger slowly brewing within her and strolled by the lake.

Thomas looked up when he literally felt someone nearby. A low simmering anger filled him that hadn't been there previously, and he was able to recognize it for another's this time. He gently closed his laptop and placed it in his bag, ready to leave so he wouldn't have to deal with yet another person's problems when he noticed that the girl who seemed to be having them was the infamous Ellen Banks.
He hadn't yet met her personally, but he'd heard a hell of a lot about her. None of it good. He paused as she hadn't seemed to have noticed him yet and wondered if he should just leave. Her anger was affecting him though, even though he knew it wasn't his own, and his indecision faded.
Thomas wasn't in the mood to start a fight, but he wasn't going to run off either. Besides, She was wealthy and he wondered if there was a possibility of getting on her good side. There might be something there worth taking advantage of, so he got up from his spot on the lake's edge and faced her, "Oh, sorry, I didn't notice you were there," he lied with a half-smile. He'd also heard she was a hypnotist, and he couldn't deny that he was partially interested, though he had no plans on letting her put him under anytime soon.

Yes, Ellen was "Infamous" and that reputation was well earned after years of putting the fear of God in the majority of the population of Bellefonte. Her shadow loomed long and wide over her halls that she ruled with an iron fist sending students hurring every which way in order for them to avoid the wrath of the wicked witch of Bellefonte.
Ellen had a lot of rules when it came to interacting with her....but the main one was simply this...
NEVER under any circumstances talk to Ellen when she clearly wants to be alone, so as you can imagine Ellen wasn't exactly impressed when Tomas approached her her eyes already burrowing a hole through his eyes "How Funny. I didn't notice you and I'm not sorry at all"

Thomas chuckled at her response, more than slightly amused at her tone. Sure, it may not have been the wisest thing to do considering her mood, but he couldn't help it. "Of course, forgive me if I've offended," he offered with a partially mocking smile. As sincere as he tried to be, there were certain aspects of his personality he just couldn't deny.
"Though, it seems I'm not the only one to have crossed you lately," he offered with a slightly more genuine tone. He could be polite when he wanted to be. Besides whoever was brave enough to make Ellen angry was interesting enough in their own right, though he doubted anyone would do such a thing intentionally at this point. Still, he knew there was always a chance, particularly if it was a brash newcomer or the like.
