Peeking through the door to one of the training rooms, Beth looked around, hoping that the trainer was there, just as one of the women in the reception had said, and that his class was over. Although, she didn't see anyone. At least not currently.
Letting out a low sigh, Beth moved her hand to the handle, keeping the door slightly open while she kept peeking through. She didn't exactly want the door to slam shut across her face... And well, if anyone suddenly appeared, it would be a little less easy to notice that she was sort of just... Standing there, trying to see if she could see anyone inside, which really, she should have realized that she wouldn't.
With that, the brunette pulled back, turning as she closed the door, only to stare straight into the face of the very same trainer she'd been looking for, and the simple shock caused her lips to part, and for a few seconds, Beth simply stood there, gaping with wide eyes as her brain tried to process the shock.

Ethan wasn't a technophobe by any measure but his phone had been giving him problems since he got it and he was always trying to find ways to bypass all the nonsense it kept prompting him to do. He just wanted to play his Temple Run!
Frustrated at his phone as he made his way to his office, he didn't realise someone was already there and he almost bumped into her if not for his hands actually shielding him from a head-on collision with her.
"Whoa. Hi. Hello." He looked around trying to figure out where she had come from. She was standing right in front of his office door which could only mean she was from there, right? "May I help you?"

Finally, Beth seemed to collect herself enough to actually do something besides gaping at the poor guy. A sheepish smile formed on her lips and she took a few steps to the side, allowing some space between herself and the other guy.
God, this likely looked incredibly stupid.
"Hi yourself," she spoke feebly, the sheepish smile turning more foolish by the second. "Uhm, no-- well, yes, actually," she began, lifting her hand and gesturing in the air, as if that was going to help the guy understand exactly what she was here for.
It likely didn't.
"I, uhm, well..." She puffed her cheeks and rolled back on her heels. "I was sort of wondering if you'd be interested in, uhm, a program. For the students. To uh, help them get rid of the pent up energy--" Wait, was this even the right guy? "You are the P.E teacher, right?"

Ethan gave the woman a warm smile when she snapped out of whatever reverie she had been in before copying her as she moved aside a little. He chuckled at the awkward greeting and gesticulation but said nothing.
The cheek puff made him grin before he started listening attentively at her proposal. When she asked whether he was the PE teacher, Ethan chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, I am. And gym sounds like the perfect program to help them get rid of pent up energy." He joked lightly. "But tell me what you had in mind?"

Folding her hands together, it took all of Beth's willpower not to do a little dance of joy right then and there. Instead, she offered the man a beaming smile.
"Wonderful!" Well, this went much easier than what she'd expected. Then again, Beth usually did expect the best out of most circumstances. If her seventeen year old self could see her now...
"I have a few students who could use some physical way to release some of their... Anger," she began, cheeks puffed. "Seeing as how you're the P.E teacher, you're probably better suited to decide which exercises would be better for that."
Sure, she could have asked her husband too, but that seemed rather silly, and this was a wonderful way to get to know some of her colleagues.

He was well aware of the telltale signs of excitement and this woman was wearing it down well. Ethan offered her a beaming smile in return before once again giving her his full attention once she started speaking again.
"Ah, you have a few students who are having difficulty expressing themselves?" He asked, avoiding the term 'problem students' as much as possible. They were not problematic to him, they were just misunderstood creatures as all teenagers were.
He nodded, once again grinning at her puffed cheeks before slipping his hands into his pockets. "I would be glad to prescribe some physical activities for them. If you have their files, I'd be glad to look them over and meet up with them as well."

Nodding, Beth's smile widened. "Exactly," she replied, once again nodding. Well, this was going much better than expected. At least he seemed somewhat receptive to the idea.
Why Beth hadn't done something like this before, she didn't know. Not all problems was easy to express through talking alone. Sometimes, it was much simpler when they could get their pent up emotions through physical activity.
"I have them all in my office," she said, gesturing down the hall. "I would of course have to talk to the students in question and see if they're interested, but this is a step in the right direction." She was never, ever going to force anything (unless it was necessarily) on anyone, but she had a few students in mind who would likely benefit from this.

With a nod, he stepped away so if she wanted to walk off, he wouldn't be in her way. "I'm glad I can help." He smiled and tilted his head to the side slightly, regarding the woman as though finally seeing her.
"I'm sorry to ask this because it's been weeks and I really should have gotten to know people by now but are you a trainer? Or a teacher? I'm Ethan, by the way. Ethan Parks." He held out a gloved hand towards the brunette and gave her a friendly smile.

Taking the hand, the brunette chuckled. "I know," she replied. After all, she'd sought him out, but she wasn't about to say that. "Beth Young." Had she already introduced herself? She wasn't sure.
"And no, not quite," she began, smiling warmly. "I'm the school counselor. Or, well, one of them." Although, sometimes she felt as if she was the only one.

"Alrightie Miss Young." He nodded with a smile, not knowing if she was actually single or not. "Glad to make your acquaintance."
His face went through a few looks before it settled on revelation. So that was why she was looking for him. "Right. Yeah that makes sense to me now." He chuckled, nodding. "Well I don't envy your position, that's for sure."

"Mrs," Beth corrected him with a small smile. "Mrs. Young," she added with a short nod. It was a common mistake, though, the brunette was rather proud of her marriage and loved flaunting it. Although her husband was at times, a dumbass. But she loved him for it.
"It's not that bad," she laughed, swatting her hand. "It's challenging, sure, but it's also very giving." She loved her job and she loved the kids. She couldn't possibly have asked for anything better to do or work as, that was for sure.

Ethan's jaw slacked just slightly before he gave her a cheesy grin. "Mrs. I see. Very good to know." He nodded, rubbing the back of his head. Oh thank God he knew she was married before he made a fool of himself.
"I could not do what you do, that's all I will say on the subject." Ethan nodded, pocketing his hands and shifting his weight from one foot to the other. "I may or may not have the patience to deal with any tantrums children are prone to throw. So, kudos."
