POWER: Pain Manipulation
Petra’s power is the manipulation of pain in others. She can do this by touching the person she wishes to effect. She has to imagin herself feeling the pain she wished the victim to feel, and her body naturally gives off brainwaves with infomation that the victim is in pain. These brain waves are recieved by the victims mind, which processes the infomation and reacts accordingly. The intensity of the pain is dependant on Petra, her emotions and health at the time, e.g, weaker pain when she is tired or calm. The victim's mind will be tricked into believing that it is in pain, even though there is no real pain. In most normal situations, her power takes around 10 seconds to activate, but of course, as before the activation time is dependant on Petra and ths situation. The more tired or calm, the slower the activation, the more alert or angry, the quicker the activation. While using the power, Petra often has to relive her past because that is some of the most painful things she knows, which can cause her severe emotional pain. Currently her control over her power is little to none, but with training, it will improved.

LIMITATIONS:
- Cannot manipulate if contact is not maintained
-Difficult to control the intensity of pain
-Powers dont work near those with mind controlling powers.
-Powers are often triggered by bursts of anger
-Powers are limited to a single person
-Can only manipulate for a few minuets or so per every 5/6 hours

SIDE-EFFECTS:
-Prolonged use causes a drunk/drugged like state due to mental exhaustion
-Crying - use causes her to often relive the horrors of her past, which othen makes her cry.
- Figiting, loss of focus are common
- Due to the mental strain the power puts on Petra's mind, its is not uncommon for her to become daze/confused and inturn angry/violen for a short while after use of her power.
- Twitching, shaking are very common
-Severe, pounding headaches and sore eyes are very common due to mental strain.
-Emotional Trauma due to the fact that Petra has to remember her past.

PERSONALITY: Where to start with Petra…? Well, one’s best bet its to take a look at her prison files and her social workers case files. You would find that she is said to be: Sadistic, Vulgar, Rude, suffers from anger issues, enjoys inflicting pain on others. And every last one of them is true.

She is a cruel hearted girl, who laughs at others pain, a child who would love to feel her fist in you face. She is an excellent fighter, and oh how nice your head would look mounted on her wall. She is almost like a rabid wolf at times, uncontrollable and ready to kill. She is smart yet foul mouthed. On the other hand, however, she is constantly nervous, jumpy and fearful. She doesnt allow herself to trust anyone. She cannot bare being touched most of the time. As a result of her power, she is twitchy and often shakey.

SECRET(S): The girl has many dark secrets, one more terrifing to her is the voice in her head. She has never told anyone this. She also has told anyone that she is virtually illiterate, bar a few words

CHILDHOOD: Well… really only one place to start with Petra’s story. She was born on the 13th of september to an alcoholic mother and a druggy father. From the start she was labled as the unwanted child, and was often subject to beatings. She was constantly underfed and sickly due to the neglect she went through.

As she grew, she became more angry at the world around her, and got into a fight with her father, Samuel. Of course her father won, and Petra was left with a broken rib, a strained wrist and a black eye. It was at this point people began to realise things werent right in th Davis home. Social Services were called, and investigated the family. Around her 9th birthday she is taken into care. She stays in a childrens home for quite a few years.

ADOLESCENCE: During her early teens was when the girl started stealing. Small things at first, chocolate bars from the near by news agents. For a few months she just stole small items, until she met Joe Hawks. A charming rouge thief with a violent streak. The 2 hit it off right away, becoming partners in crime and partners in life. Joe introduced Harleen to the wonders of cocaine and weed. The girl quickly becomes a drug addict at the tender age of 14. Joe brings Petra along on some big break-ins, including a burglary of a jewelers shop. They both got caught, and Joe blamed Petra, hitting her repeatedly and showing his bad side. They did not break up however, Petra believing that they still loved each other. Both were sent to a juvenile prison at 15, and let out a year a later. She is placed into foster care, who quickly sent her back. She moved from foster home to foster home for quiet a while.

It didn’t take long for Joe and Petra to start up their life of crime again, breaking into houses on a regular basis, stealing what they could and sell it. Petra's foster parents quickly became suspicious of the girls acts, so sent her back. She spent a while in a care home before she is sent to another foster home. Only a day before her 17th birthday, her an Joe perform a massive break in on the house of a rich merchant and his family. Midway through the burglary, the owner of the house appeared with a rifle. He started to shoot and hit Joe in the abdomen, and Petra in the shoulder.

It was this event that triggered her power. Seeing her boyfriend shot and dead on the floor make the girl snap. Petra rushed at him, screaming in anger. The man had rna out of bullets, so only had his fists to defend himself. They fought for a few moments before the girl managed to pin him against the wall. She wrapped her hands around his neck, wishing all the pain of the world upon hhim. And somehow, her wish came true. The man began to writh in pain, screaming for many long seconds. Harleen felt a rush, drawing joy form his pain, watching with a cruel smirk before she snapped his neck. The police arrived quickly, taking both her and Joe's body away. The girl spent her birthday in prison.

Petra was told she would most likely be executed, due to her crime, but while awaiting trial, just a day after her crime, a strange man came into her holding cell. "Hello Petra. Im an Offical from the Bellefonte Academy. Im here to tell you that you are joining our school." Of course at first she objected, but she supposed that school was better then a lethal injection. And she she ended up in BA.

POWER: Her power has not changed much, but it has become harder to control since the SPRITE epidemic, and Petra struggles to control it. It is more easily triggered but her rage, and it seems to cause her more mental pain.



Life has spiraled out of control for Petra.

Months of working hard seemed to be paying off, he rmental state improving. Jer schooling was going well, she wasnt anger all the time. She was almost a normal teenager, slowly gaining control of her power. She began to have more privleges, she was allowed out of the school grounds, she was allowed a life (with supervison of course).

She met Max Shelley, a 20 year old trainee lawyer to whom she fell in love with instantly. The feeling seemed mutual, and within a year of meeting Max proposed. Of course Petra said yes, head over heels for her new fiancee. They had a shot gun wedding, driving the near by wedding chapel and getting married. They return back to Max's home.

Petra some how managed to convice the school that she could live with Max. She moved in, her life seemingly amazing. But, about a few months after their marriage Petra saw Max in a different light.

Max started to become incredibly possessive and controlling of Petra, discreetly at first, but as the weeks went by, it became more and more agressive. So much so he did not allow her out of the house appart from to go to school, or when he was with her. He mad eher cook, clean and do all the house work while he went out partying. He made her go to bed at a certain time, he made her eat at a certain time.

It wasnt long before Petra started to rebel, demanding to be allowed out to a friends party. It only resulted in Max physically and mentally abusing her quiet severerly. She was left with a broken wrist, though she did not tell anyone. Max had threatened her, saying it was their 'little secret' Sadly the incident was but the first in a long line of abuse.

Beatings, verbal abuse and just neglect began to pile up on the girl. She began to drop weight, become covered in bruises and become very unwell. But, on the outside, all seemed well. Petra's condition was hidden and concealed by baggy clothing which covered her injuries. No one noticeed, the world seemingly oblivious to the girls hell.

She kept telling nerself that she loved him, that this was where she belonged. She kept trying to be the perfect wife, pouring all of the love she was able to onto her husband. She tries to defend him in her owm mental battles. She expresses symptoms similar to stockholm syndrome

Along with her physical state, Petra's mental health has declined. The voice in her head became loud and more controlling, nightmares become worse, every waking moment a terror. Her anger issues have grown even worse, so back that almost everything sends her spiralling into a blind fury.

Petra has turned to drugs and alcohol to cope with her lips. She is now addicted to heroine and cocaine, and she also uses various other substances. She is also often drunk and spends long nights drowning her feelings.

As if the girls life wasnt hard enough, she recently discovered that she was just under 9 months pregnant and almost ready to pop. Her bump is almost no existant, and it is almost impossible to tell of her condition. She hasnt told a soul about it.

Petra's life is pretty much the same as before. Her husband still gets angry, she still struggles to gain weight, and she drinks herself into a stupor every night. But, she has started to ease her way away from the drugs she use to so avidly take, the loss of her child heavy on her mind, making her guilty because she knows its the drugs that did it.. 


Though Max wanted her to take some time off school after her giving birth, she refused and spent as much time as she could in school, desperately trying to improve her grades and occupy her now constantly wandering mind. Her depression has gotten worse, though she does not speak to any one, and she spends most nights curled up on the couch watching some late night televsion show.


She does try, very hard, to please her husband, and her teachers, but she struggles, and still wont let anyone close enough to help.
