There was no getting away from this one. Every year, it was the same thing. Tamara would be there, with her list of students moving from the high school to college dorms. Everything was neatly noted down, the rooms they were leaving and which ones they now had. There was also another list, for those who newly arrived to school. It was a good thing that the whole school pitched in because there were not enough monitors to deal with the mass of students and the chaos that ensued. They could have tossed a few of those security people that it wouldn’t have been a bad idea.
She just walked out a room. Two students had been fighting for the same room inside the dorm. Why they insisted on having this one made no sense. They were exactly alike and the view was pretty much the same. It was just that silly ego that made them want what they other want. She had to put a stop to that. It was now taken care of but as she exited that dorm, she only had the time to rest her back against the wall that she heard the sound of something crashing to the floor.
She sighed heavily, closing her eyes for a second. She could hear voice, or was it voices? Definitely about that sound. Someone must have dropped their things. She just hoped that if something broke, it did not release anything that should have been kept in a container of any kind. Opening her eyes, she turned her head where she believed she heard the sound and soon made her way there to take care of yet another one of those little chaotic events happening way too much during the move-in week.
