"Right, so that needs to be tilted sideways and brought in this way," Elsa instructed before walking backward, gesturing with her hands as if directing a flight. In many ways it felt as if she were doing precisely that. The incoming table almost seemed to be levitating, even with a few pairs of feet under it doing said levitation. The Bellefonte walked backward, glad for universal floor plans that meant that she at least knew where everything happened to be.
"No, wait, hold on a moment!" she said, hurrying forward. She studied the table for a few moments, before tapping the top. "We need to take this part in that way," she gestured, "and that part," she pointed toward the bottom, "a little more that way, yes, that should work," Elsa started gesturing toward herself as she started walking backward yet again.
Only to have a leg of the table get stuck. Elsa groaned in frustration as she walked forward, already leaning over to try and figure out yet again how they were supposed to manage this apparently complex feat of geometry.

Selina was hiding out in one of the unused rooms, trying to remain inconspicuous on this obnoxious day, when she heard people outside and swore. As she was about to make a bolt for it... a table blocked her way, as well as the lovely backside of a woman she'd seen once before. One of the Bellefonte sisters. Which one, Selina wasn't entirely positive as she didn't know either particularly well, but she was hoping it was the one from the auction. A girl could dream at any rate.
Selina watched the whole debacle in unabashed amusement, not inclined to help in the slightest. Selina finally came forward when one of the people moving the table noticed her presence and seemed to be about to say something. Never one for being introduced on terms not her own, Selina spoke up instead. Her tone and demeanor indicating quite clearly that she was exactly where she was meant to be all along and that was all according to her plan. Or something along those lines.
"Don't tables like those have a lovely mechanism that allows the legs to bend up underneath of it?" she asked in curiosity as she studied the girl with very open interest. If this girl happened to be the married one, Selina had full faith that Erika would mention something. As it was, Selina got the same sort of feel from this girl as she did from the one at the auction, and Selina was one to trust her gut instinct.

Selina Taylor. Elsa actually recognized her from the auction, since she'd technically bid on the woman. She seemed to vaguely recall actually winning that auction, though it hadn't been for her but instead had been for some sort of favor or something along those lines. Nothing had really come of it, so it really wasn't worth dwelling upon. Instead Elsa just gave her a set of raised brows.
"Why, you just want to make it easy on us, don't you?" she asked before moving forward to check. The muscle were exchanging looks, clearly wondering why nobody had thought of that or pointed it out until now. "I don't suppose anyone besides Selina actually knows how that works?" Elsa asked before attempting to get at the legs herself. She had to admit that furniture manipulation wasn't high on her list of skills (and that certainly sounded like one of the most obscure mutant powers she'd ever heard of).
"Feel like actually putting us out of our collective misery?" Elsa asked, shifting her head to look over at Selina. Not that Elsa wouldn't mind poking around until something happened. She just saw no point in not using someone while they were around.

Selina grinned and was about to make a rather snarky comment on how the companies were the ones who'd made it easy on them and that it was their own foolishness that had made things so difficult, but she held her tongue for once. Why? Because she was intrigued by Elsa and because she also happened to be incredibly shallow. Who could blame her for finding Elsa attractive tough?
Selina then shook her head at Elsa's question and grinned, "Sure why not? I don't have anything else to do today," she admitted as she slipped the book she'd been reading back into her bag. Selina then shooed away the people supposedly helping and tilted the table onto its side, "You see this little metal piece here?" she asked as she moved it up the leg of the table so the joints could bend before shoving the table legs up underneath of the table top. She then went down to the other end and did the same thing, before easily lifting the table by herself and looking to Elsa, "Where did you want this?" she asked simply.
As amusing as it would have been to watch them all struggle until they found some way to get the table through the door, Selina wasn't exactly willing to sit there and watch them for that long. She wasn't as patient as she should be in that respect. She had a feeling that she would have gotten quite the show if she was just a bit more even-tempered, but there wasn't much use in lamenting now.

As usual, Elsa picked up surface thoughts. She could no more help it than a bibliophile could resist skimming titles when they walked by a bookshelf. And she'd met Selina before, at least long enough to find her intriguing. It was more than a little flattering to hear that someone thought her attractive. Seemed to be a lot of that going around recently.
Selina proved to know what she was talking about too. Elsa nodded and soon followed suit, easily sliding a leg or two out herself. Then it was a matter of directing her now slightly expanded crew and entering the room. Selina's question had Elsa nodding and reaching into her pocket. Soon she was producing her phone, tapping it.
"Standard organization for now," she said, pointing toward a corner. "Which means that goes over thee, with the legs down now," she looked over at the various helpers. "Think you have that or do you need our help?" she smirked, watching as the darkly chuckling helpers got the table off into the corner. "I swear, it's so hard to find good help these days," Elsa had to say, shaking her head and gesturing toward the poor crew with her phone.

Selina helped situate the table before nodding to Elsa as she talked about finding help, or the lack thereof, "Perhaps you just don't know where to look," she mused with a cold smile. Selina knew the Bellefonte's status around the school and in the community and she didn't give anybody that rich a free ride, regardless of physical appearance. The dark looks Selina got from the helpers for her comment amused her more than anything else.
Selina's expression then lightened a bit as she allowed herself to shrug off her darker mindset, "You need anymore help from the common folk?" she asked with a wry glance at Elsa. Ok, so maybe there was still something there. Maybe. Selina wasn't quite as cruel as she would have been when she'd first gotten here though, largely thanks to Seiji and Frank's influences. If Elsa was done, Selina would go right back to reading about how the spy posing as a servant named Mary seduced the King's wife. The king was killed in the end and the two lived happily ever after. It was one of Selina's favorites. Of course, if Elsa was free... Selina almost grinned. Well, she would see soon enough she supposed.

"Is that an offer?" Elsa replied in kind. She could catch the edge there, the blades hidden in the words, as it were. Elsa didn't see any reason to pull any punches in that regard, and Selina was more than capable of firing back. The Bellefonte was already turning to look back, trying to recall what else she had to do today. The list always seemed to be growing.
"See, now that," she said, pointing at Selina, "is a direct offer. We've got several tables like this, you know, and it all goes in eventually," Elsa jerked her head. She had to pause and raise her brows at Selina's continued thoughts. "You honestly think I'd have free time during Move-in Week? I don't know whether to be amused our insulted."

Selina’s smile was hard, a baring of teeth rather than an expression of goodwill, “Merely an observation,” she replied her tone equally as harsh as before. Those helpers clearly couldn’t think beyond their Princess’ orders and Princess was far too rich to know how something even as common and simple as table legs worked. Having servants must be nice. How else did you end up that ignorant of how things worked?
Selina merely laughed as she got called on her offer, “True, but The Muscles back there surely know what to do by now,” she replied easily. “So ‘need’ doesn’t really qualify anymore for that particular task.” Semantics. Such fun to play with.
Selina actually paused in confusion when the girl literally seemed to read her damn mind… Oh. That’s right. Telepathy was mutant power. Her boss had it. She always forgot about shit like that. Every damn time. Selina sighed and shook her head, “You mean to tell me you won’t take a break to relieve all of that pent up stress?” she asked, her suggestive tone making it rather clear what she meant.

Elsa raised her brows at the aggressive thoughts that just spewed forth from Selina. Intriguing how very quickly she was to cast everyone in quite the specific role there. No, don't take notice of the fact that Elsa was literally here with a group of other people helping to literally move objects into the room. That would ruin the concocted fantasy.
"There are several more tasks," Elsa pointed out again. And, yes, she did read minds, and she had to smile as Selina realized it. "I'm not sure I'd know how to actually remove stress," Elsa replied. "As I'm clearly a clueless princess who's never dealt with something as simple as a brand new set of table legs that she'd pulled donation money and some of her own to buy for the school. Also, despite what you may have heard, I'm not the easy Bellefonte," she leaned forward, "that's my kid sister."

Selina shrugged, but as she really had absolutely nothing to do other than read, she figured helping couldn't hurt. Besides, Princess was almost fun. As aggressive as Selina was, she always enjoyed it when people weren't intimidated by her. Selina almost laughed at Elsa'a comments, not refuting her accusations in the slightest. After all, the girl could read minds, so what was the point?
"Well then, that's something else we commoners can help you with," she teased. "Removing stress is something I do best, after all," she offered with a wry smile. "You can even sit back and let somebody else do the work for you," she added suggestively, though the mocking undertone wasn't quite as flirtatious in nature. "Besides, easy is rather boring don't you think?" she asked, her wicked grin lighting up her features. Her mild fantasy wasn't ruined in the slightest by Princess ordering muscle men around, even if it was for a rather banal task. It was the fact that she'd bought the tables for the school with her own money that had Selina slightly intrigued... but only slightly.

Elsa had to smile with some amusement here. Selina really did like to style herself as the champion of the people, didn't she? How much of that was self-aggrandizing fantasy and how much was reality? Because if people actually looked up to her, listened to her, and she had some influence... well, there were spots on the Student Council, with Beau and Liz having stepped down and Drew effectively having vetoed his own seat. It was certainly something Elsa was willing to consider, and she may start putting her feelers out.
For now, she had to work her feelers in a different direction. First things first: she turned and started directing the movers, gesturing to the right spots and nodding, making sure everything was clear and promising to help with some of the light adjustments. That settled, Elsa turned back to Selina.
"Easy is boring," she replied. She lifted her brows slightly, knowing full well what people were quite willing to say about Selina. "And I'm not usually someone to sit back and do the work for me. I've always been something of a micromanager," Elsa turned and pointed, "and I'm afraid that if you want to continue talking, you're going to have to do it while walking." She took a few steps that way, pausing only a moment to see if Selina was going to follow or not.

Selina laughed at Elsa's expression, knowing exactly where her mind had gone, even without the ability that Elsa had to aid her, "In some ways, yes," she replied freely with a laugh, completely open and honest. Selina wasn't one to ever insult those who'd been with her for any reason, nor was she down on herself at all. She had her reasons for being the way she was and she was well aware that others did too. She merely found challenges interesting. It was in her blood.
Selina smirked, "Hmm. Well, I suppose that could be interesting. I would think that micromanaging a body would be slightly more difficult than micromanaging tasks however," she offered, her expression impish. Elsa was actually willing to continue talking? Selina was fine with that... more than fine with it if she was being honest. Despite herself, she liked Elsa, or at least respected her. "Sure, why not," she agreed while following the girl. Selina was a social being, and attempting to get to know the woman in front of her had quickly become far more interesting than reading a book.

Intriguing how Selina's thoughts went. In many ways, she thought along the same lines as Elsa herself, all those levels. But there was always that emotion, ready to lunge up and just sort of change the flow of the conversation at the slightest hint. As for seeing Elsa as a challenge, well, if only Selina realized just how challenging she actually was.
Though Elsa did have to appreciate the wordplay. Who didn't enjoy good banter, particularly when it had that many double ententes? "I find that the two often go hand in hand," Elsa replied casually. She could feel Selina following her, and that intrigued her. Then again, Selina was clearly social, practically a social butterfly.
"You've gathered quite the reputation in a relatively short time here," Elsa pointed out as they headed back out of the original room and toward where more of the furniture lay waiting. "I think nearly everyone I know has already met you. And then there was that fun during the auction..." the auctions had been quite interesting all around, actually. Elsa had certainly paid attention to how they'd all turned out. It had also been the first look she'd gotten at this one, and she couldn't help but want to see what happened with further study.

Selina found herself chuckling at Elsa's response and appreciating the woman in front of her that much more. "I'll have to try that some time," she offered, a smirk at her lips and suggestion lining every word. Having sex while ordering people around sounded like a fun day to her. Selina almost laughed as she supposed she never really had to worry much about being misunderstood with this one. Even if Elsa's power was an extreme invasion of privacy, at least Selina wouldn't have to explain her intent. Though, that kind of took the fun out of some of the games Selina occasionally enjoyed playing.
Selina then glanced at Elsa in interest as she mentioned Selina's reputation before nodding, "I suppose I have. Either that or this school's rumor mill is a bit out of control," she added with a wry smile. Not that Selina minded... much. There were drawbacks to being known for promiscuity, mostly entitled little boys who thought they were owed something and women who thought they were better than she was merely because they hadn't had sex yet... or had only had sex with fewer men, or something. Their logic positively baffled her, but she didn't care much either way. She put up with it mainly because she'd rather be known for sex than for violence... but she needn't think about that just now.
Selina quickly focused her thoughts and attention to what Elsa was saying once more... she'd brought up the auction on her own? Interesting. "Yes, where you decided to help Karsen bid," Selina noted as she studied Elsa in sheer curiosity. Selina had no idea what had been going through Elsa's mind when the girl had pulled such a stunt, but she was definitely interested in finding out.

Elsa actually chuckled at Selina's comment. The girl certainly didn't lack for spunk, did she? Plus, Elsa could see Selina actually combining the two without even stretching herself all that much. With that understanding did come a bit more of a reading of the various thoughts. When you got a bead on someone's personality you began to understand a little more.
The mention of the rumor mill drew another wry laugh from Elsa. "Oh, the rumor mill at this school is so out of control that the staff have meetings about it," that had highly amused Elsa, particularly as the perturbed cat had rolled over for what amounted to an ineffectual leadership. Hardly surprising: if people weren't around and didn't push things through, then nothing actually happened.
The thoughts, or at least the bits that Elsa picked up, actually surprised Elsa, if slightly. The conversation that followed didn't. "He's got potential," was what Elsa offered, along with a shrug. "And as I said, you've drawn attention," Elsa paused to direct their helpers: they were getting close to actually having to lift things again. "I wouldn't worry about people's archaic views about sex around here. The people who actually matter will only use it against you when they run out of real ammunition, and the people who don't, well," she gave Selina a slightly knowing smile, "don't matter."
