Seiji didn't have the slightest clue of how he was going to be able to help this girl; Lupe Silvestre, when it was not really in his job to be able to rehabilitate someone into society. Apparently the girl had already gone through the training of sorts and from what he was told that she was mainly choosing to not change. If someone didn't want to change, it was very hard to try and talk or get them to change. Seiji knew that but he also knew that they could not just let her keep behaving in the ways that he was informed of.

Perhaps they thought because he understood powers and how they affected the body, that he would be able to help her out. However; this was clearly a matter that went outside of just her power and her power was probably just adding to the problem. "I don't think I should have brought you Sapphire, they said she can be very aggressive." Seiji said to his snake as he headed to the location he had been informed where the girl was. She apparently liked to be outside and to use her power a lot so the arena was a perfect place she could do both things without worrying about getting in troubled. Granted he figured she would likely end up heading to the woods soon so he moved quickly to get there.

He had a photo of what the girl looked like but they assured him he would be able to tell it was her when he saw her. Boy could he tell. He certainly was not feeling all that confident in being able to help her without either of them getting hurt. He was just thankful he always had some anti-venom on his person whenever he had Sapphire on his person. "Excuse me. You are Miss Silvestre, right? Lupe?" Seiji asked after clearing his throat and doing a small wave to get her attention.

It was indeed easy to find her. Because well, frankly how could you miss her. The large, clawed and snarling brunette that was covered in mud and currently beating the absolute shit out of another student. However, she was quickly called off by the referee, and slunk away with a growl to her corner. Ever since her training fight with the pup Demi, Lupe had considered the training with a bit more light. It was a good way to practice for hunting. But, more importantly, she could fight the students. And no one would complain. That was the best part in her opinion.

However, she never stayed long, because as much fun as it was, she still preferred actual hunting. She couldn't kill anything here, so all it usually helped to do was work her up into a bit of a frenzy before she would dash back off into the woods and away from these humans. However, it seemed as though one of them had different ideas. Namely, some human male with a snake. She could smell the snake on his as he approached. It was very strong. Perhaps that is what he does. The smells seem to mean something on their 'abilities.' Lupe considered as she eyed the man with curiosity and yet also annoyance.

"What do you want human?" She growled, eyes narrowing

She does not look too pleased to see me. Behave, Sapphire. Seiji was thinking to himself but also told his snake. The reptile was of course hiding on his person; in one of the pockets on his jacket, and was well aware of the situation. She had been paying close attention when her master had been asked to look into this matter and it was only because she heard the word 'dangerous' that she was even with him. She normally preferred to stay in her tank or in her master's room but when danger was involved with her master, she would be there.

All of his snakes were very protective of him but Sapphire was a little bit more due to how she didn't really like many people. She called him human, well that was true even if the scientific name for what he was, was slightly different then a normal human being; because of being a mutant and all. "Uh...well I was told to meet you and offer my assistance." Seiji said, feeling slightly nervous. Yes he was taller than the girl and he normally was not intimidated by a person; even now he was not actually intimidated by her. If anything he was just nervous that she was going to automatically hate him and run away.

That would make his job even harder and he didn't want to force the help on the girl if she didn't want it. Even if she really needed it. "My name is Seiji Lockard, one of the side-effect specialists at the school, and soon to be a teacher of a Mutant 101 class." Seiji informed her. He then held out his hand to shake, figuring that she would know that at least basic form of interaction. That and he would be able to gauge just how she felt towards him.

Oh great. Another human. And this one appears to be my new handler. The very thought that there was a a replacement for Him made Lupe's lips curl back from her teeth in a furious snarl. Another handler. Someone to watch over her. Try and make her more like them. Because that's all they want. To make me like them. Make me be human. Why? WHY?! Lupe wondered furiously. "I don't need your 'help.'" She spat venomously.

"And I don't care about your name!" She added when the human introduced himself. "I don't need another handler." Her tone was low and angry. When he extended his hand to shake, she stared at it. Did the fool not know she had bitten her old handler's finger off? Lupe only stared at him before snarling and swiping at his hand with her claws. "Have your alphas told you nothing, human?" She snapped

Seiji was still feeling a little nervous about this, mainly because he didn't want the girl to hate him but it already felt like she did. Just the look in her eyes, like she wanted to maul him for being there when he was being polite and kind as he always was. Clearly she didn't trust humans, which then had to mean she had to have a bad experience with them. Even the wildest of animals could not help but to be curious about humans if they never saw one in their lives or never really had that many bad experiences with them. Wild animals behaved with reason, even if that reason was their natural instincts if one observed the situation they could figure out why something happened.

In most cases. Now Seiji was wondering what human or humans had done something to her to make her hate them so. Sapphire personally didn't care all about that and was now moving to peeked her head out from under his coat to get an actual look at the girl. She would bite her if she tried anything, well she would like to bite her but her master had told her not to and it would be very hard to break one of his commands. "It might not seem like you do, but everyone needs a little help sometimes. There is nothing wrong with it." Seiji pointed out as he kept himself calm on the outside for the most part.

There was more anger there, not caring about his name, words about not needing another handler, and even her going to swipe at his extended hand. Thanks to his ability and having worked with snakes for so long he was able to quickly pull his hand back to avoid getting clawed. Perhaps that was yet another reason why they thought it was a good idea to put him with the girl. His alphas? She must have meant the people in charge. "They have told me a lot of things, but I like to reserve making a judgement until I meet a person myself." Seiji responded as he rubbed at his hand as if he had been hurt; even if he had not been, it was just the idea of it.

Sapphire was hissing now, making sure that she was seen now looking out of her master's jacket and eyes locked on the girl. She made no moves to go any closer or to strike, but she was giving the girl a warning to watch herself. "Easy Sapphire. She is just scared." Seiji assured his snake and got her to calm down before he looked to Lupe with a smile. "Are you hungry at all?" Seiji asked.

A snake popped it's head out of the human's pocket, which did catch Lupe's attention. Was that where the smell had come from? No, Lupe could smell more than one snake's scent on the human. Either more were on him like the snake in his pocket currently, or he had been around a number of snakes prior to seeking her out. But Lupe couldn't think on that to long, for he continued speaking, claiming everyone needed help sometimes and there was nothing the matter with it. Her only response was a snarl.

She had been, admittedly, impressed he had managed to take his hand away. He was certainly faster than her first handler had been, but that didn't mean there wouldn't be more opportunities later. Lupe could wait, impatient as she seemed. Like stalking a deer, she only needed the right moment. Right now was not that moment, as the man seemed on guard from her even as he continued talking. Something about reserving judgement until he himself saw. Which was.... interesting. But still, Lupe said nothing.

It wasn't until the snake hissed that Lupe made now, and then it was a low menacing growl as she warily observed the snake. It was small, but she had seen snakes bite before. Death was in their fangs. A different kind of death. But it seemed under the name's control, as he said something to it and calmed it. Or at least restrained it. Then his attention was on Lupe again, asking if she were hungry. The question made Lupe's ears perk up and she looked at Seiji curiously. However, there certainly was a curiosity there, and almost an eagerness. "....Maybe."

Seiji indeed would smell likes snakes, along with what he would spray on himself so normal people didn't smell all the snakes that he owned. There were four of them after all and all of them liked to crawl on him or at least be close to him in some way so he would pick up their scent easily. Of course snakes didn't really have a scent that could be picked up by normal people unless it was them going to the bathroom or releasing a musk. Thankfully Seiji never had to deal with either of those two things ending up on him but he still like to put on some cologne just to be safe. Nothing strong; just subtle, he did like to look 'sharp'.

He was mostly just getting snarls and glares as responses from the young girl, but he was alright with that. She was certainly a tall female but he still towered over her like he pretty much towered over everyone. Hopefully he would not have to use his height to his advantage to make sure that she didn't do anything that would harm herself, others, or him. He was less worried about ‘the him’ part, since he could take care of himself if the worse were to happen. As for what he was saying to her, he meant every word of it. People could say a lot of things about a person but at the end of the day they could only be seeing one side of them.

That was why he felt it was only fair to not think badly of a person until he actually got to know them. So far it was true that she was most certainly a little rough, but he did reach out closer to her in her personal space. She had acted out in her own self-defense in a way, that was what he had concluded so he was not upset with her in the slightest. He chuckled a little when she said maybe in response to his question on if she was hungry. "Alright, I think I can make something perfect for you that you would enjoy. Would you mind coming back to my room with me? It is not too far of a walk." Seiji asked as he pointed in the direction of the staff dorms.

Since she was a girl that had no doubt eaten raw meat, it would be best to prepare something with meat in it or as the main dish. There was meat at the cafeteria but he figured it would be best for her to be in a location with less interaction with other people for right now. This would also give him the chance to observe her without too many outside influences, which would make his job easier.

The human chuckled, which had Lupe growling again. Was he mocking her? The thought that he could be had Lupe glaring and baring her teeth. But then he mentioned making her food, and she perked up at that. He was probably going to make her some horrid human food, and he even wanted her to come back to his den to make it for her. Instantly Lupe's eyes narrowed in suspicion as she stayed where she was, mulling over it all.

What was this human's goal? Was he her new handler or not? Or just some human sent to pester her even more, and remind her that they caught her? The latter though had her growling again, but she found that she was indeed hungry. Hungry enough to try human food? Well... She was a little curious too.And she had no doubt she could handle the human if he tried anything. So after a few moments of her simply glaring, she finally spoke.

"....Fine."

Seiji was not at all mocking her, but he quickly tried to swallow his chuckle when he could hear the growl coming from the younger girl. Sapphire was all but ready to bite the girl if she would just touch her master in a way that she saw as threating. Seiji had the anti-venom on him at all times, so it was not like she would kill the girl, right? It would not be too bad to bite her and teach her a lesson about being kind to someone like Seiji who was the sweetest and best owner anyone could ever wish to have and know. In all of his snakes opinion, at any rate. It was always reassuring when he could tell that someone was interested in something like food.

He really did have to approach this as in dealing with an animal and not a human being. Of course he still had to treat her like a human being on some levels but mostly he had to treat her the way one would treat a wolf. It would work the best with her since that was still currently her mindset and you had to ween them off step by step to be human like. Lupe didn’t move to follow and clearly was showing signs of mistrust to his words. Seiji mostly felt bad just because he wanted to know what had been done to her by other humans that made her like this. If only he had some sort of treat or snack on his person that could help be a persuasion for her.

As for the question’s Lupe was thinking about, he was no mind reader and thus could not answer them. Even if he was a mind reader, he was still not certain if he could. He had just been asked to take a look at the girl but did that mean he was in fact her new ‘handler’? “Wonderful. We can go into the staff lounge and I can cook there if you don’t feel comfortable going with me to my room.” Seiji informed her as he moved to start heading to the place he was talking about. He would have to run to his room to grab some things to cook, but if she felt more comfortable in an area that was not his alone, then he would work with it.

He offered to go elsewhere, which did earn a speck of gratitude from the feral child as he set off. "Yes." She stated bluntly, following him but at a distance, still eying him warily and suspiciously, still hostile but at least restraining herself for now. There would be food to be had, even if Lupe was not particularly found of human food. It smells terrible, just like the unmans themselves. She thought with a sneer, which again made her focus on how strange the human's scent was before her.

He smelled so much of snake. Surely not just one could make the scent so strong on him. He had to be around multiple. Did that mean there were multiple on him now? Was he trying to lure her in? Her expression darkened at the last inner question. He's in for much worse than he thought if he thinks I'll just let him. She thought, still extremely tense and on alert as she followed the human to food.

As soon as she gave him the yes, he was already moving off in the direction of the kitchen staff room where he would still be able to prepare something but it would be in a space that was open and likely to have some staff members hanging around. He honestly should not take her to such a location since it was indeed meant for the school staff, but he didn't see any harm in it. Likely people would have been happy that he was looking out for her and then she should have been able to feel safe and comfortable in a location. That was what he was mainly concerned about; would she feel safe and comfortable in the location?

If not, they could always move but for now that was the place he needed to go after stopping by his room first. He was certain that she was following behind him the whole time, but he did check back several times to make sure that she indeed was. "Wait right here, I will be fast. Just need to grab a few things to cook with." Seiji assured her once they would get the outside of his dorm room. He was quick to go inside, even leaving his door open so she could see him going over to the kitchen area and grabbing a few things.

The main thing that would likely attract her attention would be the steak that he was pulling out of the fridge that he had planned to cook up for his roommates later, but he was certain it would not be that big of a deal if one was given to a student. "Alright, if you would continue to follow me and grab a seat somewhere when we get to the staff lounge, I will have food ready for you soon." Seiji responded as he would go to exit his room, lock it behind him, and lead the way to the staff lounge which did have one or two people in it but they were busy with paper work so were not concerned with the two that would soon be entering into the area.

Lupe followed him inside the human dwellings and instantly felt cramp and imprisoned. She hated it in these things the humans called buildings. They were like cages to her, closing her in and trapping her with these creatures she so despised. And now she was following one of those pathetic whelps inside. Why? Was she really that hungry? A growl from her abdomen gave her the answer and she glowered, continuing on with the male human in front of her.

They stopped somewhere and the human went inside after telling her to wait. The smell of snakes was stronger here, but her attention shifted when she saw the meat in his hands. It was easier to follow him after that. But then he was telling her to wait. She was half tempted to just snatch the food from his hands. But with a growl, she thudded into a seat, sharpened claws scratching at the table restlessly

Seiji was pleased that Lupe followed him the whole way and didn’t make any fuss or run off from him or anything along those lines. He kind of hoped that she would have asked questions or made conversation with him but he supposed he was expecting a bit too much. After all, she clearly did not really like humans and thus didn’t really like him so he really should not have been surprised. It still did not help settle how awkward it felt to be walking around with the girl following behind him without a word. He didn’t mind it too much but the thoughts he was getting from his snakes were concerning.

Sapphire didn’t trust this human female and was ready in case the creature decided to try and hurt her master while his back was turned. She typically only had these feelings of distain when it came to males and would at least tolerate females but in this case she didn’t like this girl. Not yet anyways. He didn’t take too long in his room and while the rest that were in his room were already asking what was going on, he just quickly let them know that he was busy and headed out. He would explain it to them later, but for now he needed to not keep Lupe waiting for too long.

“Thank you for being so cooperative. I’ll be sure to make something you are sure to enjoy.” Seiji responded to her when she took a seat while he got to cooking. Thankfully he had let the meat marinate and it honestly didn’t take that long to cook steak on the stove. She would just have to wait for a few minutes and in that time Seiji was going to try and make conversation to help it go by faster. “So Lupe, have you thought about trying out for any sports or clubs?” Seiji asked, it honestly being his test on where to go for questions.

It was during this time Sapphire slip out of her hiding place on Seiji and was moving closer to the girl, planning to sit on the table in front of Lupe so she could stare at the girl and make it very clear that she was watching her.

It was good the human did not take too long in doing whatever he was planning. He thanked her, which made Lupe frown and stare at him curiously. Thanks was not something she usually got. She had no idea what to do with a human's thanks. So instead she said nothing on that and only huffed, scratching the table. "You better..." She grumbled low in her throat. If this creature was wasting her time....

But then there were more questions. Why were there always questions?! And something about.... Sports? And something called a club? "What is a 'sports' or a 'club?'" She asked bluntly before her eyes trained on the snake that slithered into view. She got the message clearly, and narrowed her eyes at the serpent. It liked this human for some reason, and seemed very protective.

The response he got made him chuckle a little but still in a kind way as he had found the response interesting. A part of him still could not help but to feel a little sad that the girl did not even know how to respond to a thank you, but it just made him all the more determined to help her. He wanted her to enjoy being a human, at least like some humans, and just have some good experiences in her life as a human. In a hope that she would come to feel that being a human was not all that bad, even if being with wolves probably would always be slightly better for the level of trust and kinship she likely had in her pack.

He was just going to have to work to ensure that she got all of that in at least a few of her human interactions. He asked her question, hoping to make the time feel like it was going by faster for her while he worked on cooking. It was a good thing that steaks did not take that long to cook, but he still didn’t want her to wait too long. However; she didn’t really seem to understand his question, which brought up him having to think of how to explain it. “Well, sports are physical activities that typically involve teams going against one another in an effort to score more points than the other teams. While clubs are being a part of a group that tends to work on and do things together that they have a passion for or enjoy doing.” Seiji explained.

That was the best way he could break it down and hoped that she would at least get it from that explanation. If not, he could break it down further if she asked or seemed like she did not still get it. “She won’t bite you, I promise. So long as you don’t attack her first.” Seiji assured her, giving Sapphire a command when he picked up on his snake’s thoughts. He glanced back to see the reptile sitting before Lupe, just daring her to do something foolish.
