This hopefully didn't go like it did with Tim, because she was not sure she could handle such a thing ever again. At least not until she got used to going to the movies in general, which was still an odd experience for her. She had only ended up picking the movie prize because the other two just didn't really seem to fit Erin and Quinn. Oh right, yeah that was why she was here; for Quinn. He had been put up for bid because he won being Prom Prince; which Erin was still confused about on a small level.
Deep down she just imagined that Quinn actually had a secrete fan club of girls that liked him but because of his cold behavior they were too afraid to approach him. Yeah, she could so believe that story. She just hoped she didn't make any of them upset with her for winning him at the auction, but it would be their fault for not being able to step up. After all, it took a lot for her to be able to say anything so they had no excuse.
Either way, there was no going back on anything after Erin had given Quinn a time to meet her at the special movie place. Now she was just standing around and waiting for Quinn to show up; she was early, so she was not feeling impatient just yet. That and she had one of her handhelds on her that she was currently playing while she waited. While Erin had picked the package they were going to do, she left it to Quinn once again to pick the movie he wanted to see. It just seemed only fair to at least let him have some power in all of this.

In a way, Quinn was secretly happy it was Erin who won the auction. He couldn’t see himself caught up with some random person he barely knew. It would have been torture, even more than the auction had been already. And it had been no pleasure cruise. It was probably lame that only one person bid on him. Part of Quinn felt humiliated by this but he had wanted to get out of there so much that he waited until he was alone in his room to really be depressed on the matter. He was glad he didn’t go back home for the summer. Trying to explain this to his family, that people apparently liked him enough to make him the prom prince but not enough to bid on him at the auction would’ve been too much for him. He could have just imagined his cousins laughing at this, mocking him, claiming they named him only for the fun of it. It made sense. They did name Lucy as well as the prom princess.
Anyway, Erin bid and at least it meant that someone actually did that instead of just making him go back without anyone speaking up. And he was glad she chose the movie. They could have gone for the meal, since they both knew it would not be romantic, but that was still a bit weird. And Quinn never did any horseback riding in his life so he was glad his first time would not be now. A private screening and burger, it was a lot like something they did once. He could survive it.
He was meeting up with her for the movie. He didn’t really put anything special. His usual black shirt. He had a few of those. And jeans. He had a few of those too. But without his camera. Now that was weird. But bringing it to a movie theatre would be even weirder. He wondered why he as the one who had to choose the movie. He looked at those they could watch and tried to pick something that would please her as well. So something about hackers or computers or video games was necessary. Preferably with a cute girl. Yeah, that might be asking too much there. Sadly for him, the only movie in theatre right now that fit that description was Pixels, something that did not wholly interested him. He was not sure how much she’d like it either. He wished he had been watching more movies but the truth was that he rarely found anything of great interest nowadays. At least not enough for him to go and buy tickets for it. But this time, it was for free. Kind of. So did it really matter if the movie was not as good as he wanted it to be? They could still make fun of it he guessed. There was also the fact he wondered if they were supposed to eat the burgers while watching the movie or after.
Either way, he went to the theatre and found Erin already there and playing at something. He was not sure what, just that she was not paying attention to anyone around. Might be best, considering how she was when people did pick an interest in her. “I’m here,” he said as he arrived in front of her. “You still want me to pick the movie? Because I could really use your list of favorites right now. The only thing I know about you makes me think Pixels but... I don’t know... Doesn’t seem quite you either.” Maybe he was wrong. What did he know of her, really?

Erin was fully absorbed into her game for the very reason that Quinn was thinking, she didn't do well in public. Even if they were having a private screening; which meant they would have the whole theater to themselves, that did not mean that others were not around the theater itself to see other movies. In other words, there were still people around and Erin knew she was still not ready to handle the masses without having something to distract her. Thankfully she was not waiting too long until she heard Quinn's voice.
She was quick to pause, save, and then put away her game before she looked at her friend. He was dressed pretty much how she was, casual. There was no point in dressing up for a movie and burgers and Erin's only real concern was the burgers and what movie Quinn would pick. She hoped he didn't pick some documentary or anything like that. Granted, she didn't think there were any currently playing and she was still a little uncertain about Quinn's movie choice. She knew his music choice from his computer but it had not really given her much information on his film likes.
"Hey, thanks for wanting to do this." Erin said with a small wave. He could have picked to not do any of them at all, but at least he was up for the free movie and burgers. He spoke of how the only movie he had in mind was Pixels and honestly Erin would not have had a problem if that was what he wanted to see. He did ask her what she was interested in seeing and she supposed it did not hurt to say. "Uh...would you think I was weird if I said I wanted to see Home, Inside Out, maybe Minions, and I would even be up for Pixels or Fantastic 4." Erin went ahead and said, but she was still leaving it to Quinn to pick.

If Quinn did better in masses than Erin, it was because he knew those tended not to care about the people forming said mass of people. As long as he was ignored, he was fine. The moment someone noticed him like, say, someone working at some store and asking if you needed any help, even if he might need help, he was freezing up and just saying no and moving away from the person who dared talk to him. Luckily for him, other than those or the few you might end up accidentally bumping into, interaction was usually kept to a minimum. He could take it.
If he had to choose a movie currently playing that might interest him, he would have gone with the U.N.C.L.E. thing. But he was not sure if it was Erin’s type nor if she would find the girl hot enough to make it endurable. It was not like he knew Erin’s type of girls. Plus he didn’t get a proper view of the girl, just noticed there was some chick in it. He didn't know Erin’s type of movie either. Somehow, he imagined her liking flicks like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon but it might just be the Asian cliché going against her.
“This was the most friend date-like really. And we did that once, minus the burgers,” he told her as she thanked him. Sure, it did not turn out as good as expected but he believed that little problem had been arranged. If she wanted to call them friends, he’d let her. She just knew now how he was not really good at this whole friendship thing.
She gave him a list of movies she might be interested in. Mostly cartoon, with Pixels that was about games and Fantastic Four that came from a comic book. Was he thinking it was weird? Not at all. “...I kind of expected something like that,” he admitted. He was not really seeing her watching the others. “We can go for Pixels, it’s ok. Someone in the dorm is having too much fun talking like a minion since the movie came out. I don’t guarantee what I’ll do if I hear scream banana again,” he told her, figuring this much was decided so they could go and see if it was an ok film or just another one’s of Adam Sandler’s flop.

Erin actually was not all that picky about movies and typically was willing to give one a try if someone wanted her to watch it. She was mostly the kind of person that liked to just watch anime if she was going to watch anything. Anything else she watched was because it was big talk on the internet, it had been suggested to her to watch it, or someone she was hanging out with wanted to watch it. So if Quinn would have spoken up about what movie he wanted to watch, they would go see it. As long as Erin didn't find out that he actually wanted to see another movie but didn't say anything because he wanted her to enjoy the movie, she would have been mad.
Happy that he was thinking of her, but this was for him to have some fun. AS for his judgement on her liking Asian movies, that was so true. She pretty much loved everything about Japan so if he wanted to watch a movie in Japanese’s she would have even been up for that. "Y-yeah, but it’s not even a date. Just the two of us pals hanging out with one another at a free movie and free food." Erin spoke up with a nod. She didn't even know why Quinn said the date word. He had already made it clear he was not interested in her, she was not interested in him, and all it really did was bringing back the memory of how she kissed him.
It of course had been done to make sure that she was not like developing those kinds of feelings for him. In the past she had been wondering because she kept putting up with him when he was being mean and wondered if it was more to it then the debt and wanting to be his friend. Turned out that there was not more to it than those two things, which she was thankful. Not that Quinn was not cute, he just was a male and that was the problem. "Really? Someone is going around talking like the minions? Is it one of your roommates?” Erin asked as she moved ahead to tell one of the workers about why they were here and what movie that were going to watch.
However; she didn't really manage to talk and just handed a paper over to them and looked at Quinn to say which movie they were going to see when the man asked them. Talking to someone older then her was not all that hard but this person was not that much older than them so that quickly created a problem. Quinn would catch on and handle it, at least that was what Erin hoped.

Quinn loved to watch movies only not in theatres. There was just too many people, too many risks to end up with someone kicking your seat or remains of popcorn and beverages on the floor. Or people talking or moving in your face. He preferred to watch movies comfortably at home. Or, in his case, in his dorm. Preferably without his roommates around. Now, they should be alone so it was one thing going for them. The theatre, it was for movies with awesome special effects. Quinn tended to favor dramas. Those didn’t have that much effects to them.
He kept to himself his choice of movie. It was not like he really wanted to see any of them in particular. He wanted to go for something they might both enjoy. Their interest seemed to differ on a lot of things. “That’s why I said friend-date. You don’t need to remind me I’m too much of a guy for you,” he assured her as she insisted this was not a date. He was not sure how you called that, when friends meet up for something. It was like a date, except there was no romance in it. Just two friends. They both knew that, so there was no reason to make a fuss. The idea she might grow a crush on him when she so distinctly told him she was homosexual would just be weird. And kind of humiliating for him.
“Thank god no!” Quinn exclaimed. He would have killed him for real if his roommate chose to do that. But there was a limit how much one can hear the banana joke or anything like that. Not to add the ridiculous amount of pictures with a minion on lately. “But he’s in the boys’ dorms and I’m pretty sure he’s friends with one of them, so that’s almost like he is.”
Erin handed over the paper explaining why they were here. They had to have been warned, to make sure this room was up for them. But they didn’t tell them a movie before. He waited but as he realised Erin was not talking, he looked at her. And she was looking at him, waiting for him to speak. He rolled his eyes a bit and gave the name of the movie. They told them to wait while they set everything up. That left them just enough time to go and grab some food.

Erin would have had to agree with Quinn on the whole liking movies but liking to view them by herself. Theaters just had so many people in them, even if you caught a movie that was not so big with other, there would at least be a few others that came to check it out when you did. Plus they just seemed like a place perfect to catch something with how people were tossing stuff around, coughing, sneezing, and probably spitting when they started yelling at the screen. Erin never understood why people did that; it was not like the yelling was going to change the way a movie was going. If it did, that would be pretty cool and also pretty scary at the same time.
Not like Erin could talk too much about the whole yelling at the screen because she did that when playing a video game, but that did actually affect your game at times; especially when you were playing with other people who you often ended up yelling at. “You just don’t have to say the word date at all. I mean you are not like ugly or anything. I bet you could land a girlfriend if you actually wanted one or acted like you at least liked people just a little bit. It’s just, yeah you are a guy and I like girls.” Erin pointed out. She knew Quinn already knew she was gay but she still wanted to let him know that he was not bad looking, just not her cup of tea.
She chuckled a little when Quin exclaimed that he was more the pleased that it was not anyone he lived with that was stuck on the minions voice. At a school likes theirs, there was probably someone that could copy the way they spoke perfectly. “Ah, that is why you have to change to co-ed. That way you can get a mix of intelligence into your dorm living. Not that all guys are stupid or anything, but everyone knows girls mature faster than guys.” Erin said. What? It was a fact after all and just gave her more reason to why she loved the ladies. Then it was time to actually get to the whole movie and exampling the package they had.
Everything falling to Quinn when the person Erin was talking to was more or less in their age group, even if it was a guy it was still not super easy to just talk to him. Quinn thankfully took care of it all. “Thanks…I’m not sure why I just lost my cool there.” Erin muttered as she started to move to where they could get some food. She handed Quinn the coupon for a free burger but also pulled out some extra money because she wanted more than just a burger. “If you want anything else, just say so and I’ll buy it.” Erin pointed out as she moved to get in line.

Movies were nice. Theatres, not so much. Sure, the sound was at its best and you have one huge screen and everything, but those advantages did not carry much weight compared to the inconvenient Quinn saw. The people, the spilled food, the cost... A television or computer screen might be smaller but at least he could watch the movie whenever he wanted it. And stop it if he needed to go to the bathroom. Also, Quinn would not risk spotting people in a corner who used the movie only as an excuse to make out in public without people noticing. He never liked that. Mostly because he never did anything even remotely similar to that.
“I get it,” he said as he felt Erin was trying to wiggle her way out of this one. Although, about getting a girlfriend... Quinn was almost a ghost. People passed him by without even realising he was there. He failed to see how he could get a girl. Even more since it made him think that the only girl who ever kissed him, other than Erin since he preferred to pretend that did not happen, was Lucy and she did more for the kicks and told him it was like kissing a corpse. Seemed to him that his chances of getting a girlfriend were pretty low. “You could have used it to go with a girl, if you’d have preferred. I wouldn’t have minded,” he told her. Sure, they went as friends but wasn’t it a friendly thing to do to let your friend go with their crush on something they should have gone together? It was not like they would have known at the movie theatre, right?
He looked at her at her little... jest? He considered it as jest even if many were ready to agree with her. “At least I’m rid of the crazy one. I think he graduated. Don’t know how he achieved that, I’ve never seen him once making any sense,” he let out. When he was not smoking pot. Or accusing Quinn of stealing it. Or telling him how awesome his girlfriend was. Yes, Quinn was glad he got rid of this one and hoped he wouldn’t end up with him again, or someone like him.
She thanked him and tried to find an excuse to explain why she fell silent all of a sudden. “You’re always like that around people you don’t know,” he pointed out. He remembered how she sometimes flinched at him in the beginning. He grabbed the coupon for the burger she handed to him. He could also eat more if he wanted to. They had to be offering drinks as well but he could get more. Only she said she’d pay. “You bought this... non-date and now you pay the food?” Oh, he knew she had bigger means than he did but that did not change it was a bit weird for him. That his aunt paid for everyone’s popcorn made sense. Erin... he was not entirely sure yet.

Erin just nodded a little when Quinn said that he got it. She didn't want him to feel bad or anything and it was true that she thought that he could get a girl. If he just actually tired and was not so cold them he probably could get all the ladies. He had curly hair, didn't girls like that? Erin didn't know, she just knew that she liked girls and that was about it so she probably was not the best one to say who could get someone or what a girl would like. When he spoke of how she could have done this with a girl and he would not have minded she could not help but to laugh a little. Was her serious?
It was true that she would have liked to do this sort of thing with a girl; since she had only done it with males so far, but she was Hackett. Erin Hackett. "I doubt any girl would want to go with me to this kind of thing...and the one I currently really like I'm pretty sure is straight and does not have the smallest interest in me." Erin admitted, most of the words coming out slightly muttered under her breath as she looked down at the ground. "Besides, I won you at the action and you are my friend so it makes sense for the two of us to go." Erin added, giving Quinn a smile as she moved on ahead before going back to him again because she didn't feel too comfortable going off by herself in a place like this.
Maybe one day I'll be able to ask a girl out... Erin thought to herself as she let out a dreamy sigh just thinking about it. Then her mind was back to the little jest and Quinn's words on how he was happy to be rid of the crazy one out of his roommates. "Well whatever happened to him, you are free of him. Still think you should go co-ed but I won’t force you into it." Erin responded as she gave a small shrug of her shoulders. a question then came to her mind it just ended up making her blush and unable to ask it. She would try later...or never.
Quinn then pointed out the obvious which had Erin grumbling a little. "I know but...I'm trying to get better." Erin spoke up as she started to play with a button on her jacket. She offered to get him anything else he might have wanted and she should have expected that he would have asked about it. Tim did the same thing and Erin didn't get why people were against getting something for free. "Yeah, I mean they didn't say they would give us a lot to eat so...I mean if you don't want anything you don't have to. Just an offer. Why does everyone get so weird about me offering?" Erin said, asking a question at the end but it was mostly to herself.
Post by Quinn Wiley on Sept 10, 2015 10:15:28 GMT -6
Quinn did not have an appealing personality. It was, he was sure, what girls would say to justify not wanting to go out with him. He might have a cold exterior and be quite guarded but he didn’t think he was that bad. Simply... of course, he wished to have people around but he didn’t know how others did to so easily trust one another. He could not, he simply could not. He preferred to be the one kicking people out of his life, not being the one rejected over and over again.
He wouldn’t have taken it badly had Erin asked to use that date to have an actual date with some girl she fancied. Sure, she was nice enough to take the easiest of options for them, but he still wouldn’t have minded. He was about to ask her why she could seriously think no girl would want to go out with her on a date. She was pretty good looking with her figure, her red hair and her spunk, when she allowed herself to have any spunk at all. But she then said the girl she had an eye on was straight. That might explain why she thought she couldn’t get anyone. Of course, the reason for them to go together made sense and he did not argue with her there. “I’m sure lots of girls would have wanted to go with you,” he still let out though. It was not very like him to compliment people but if she thought she was not interesting enough to attract anyone, he thought she was the stupidest smart girl he knew.
When she said ‘whatever happened to him’, Quinn realised his words might have sounded more ominous than he meant to. “He graduated,” he explained before she thought he did anything for the guy to beg someone to switch room with him or something. “Don’t know how he achieved that though.” He was not sure he would do well in a co-ed dorm. He was even surprised they allowed it. For college, maybe, but for the high school students? He would have thought they’d put them in different dorms and even different wings and forbid them to ever try and sneak in the wrong dorm floor. But it was not the only thing he thought was curious around here so he kept that to himself.
Quinn could say that pointing out her lack of social skills was kind of like the pot calling the kettle black. It was not like he was any better. She seemed surprised he might find it weird she wanted to pay him things and from her choice of words, he understood he was not the first. “Cause you’re offering. It’s like... a reminder you got the money. Or maybe it’s a macho guy thing, I don’t know,” he said with a shrug. He didn’t quite know himself but he would say it was because that proved she had money and implied he had less. Which was true but that didn't make it any better on his ego.
Post by Erin Hackett on Sept 10, 2015 11:59:52 GMT -6
Quinn might have not taken it badly, but Erin would have. It would be a bad move to pull with someone that was your friend. You didn't just bet on them, win them, and then take someone in their place for the whole 'date' thing. She didn't need a guide book to tell her, she just thought of it as if she were in Quinn's shoes. While she would understand him wanting to be able to have a free way to take whoever he wanted somewhere, she would have still felt a little hurt. Betrayed in a way, that he was basically using her for his own gain and Erin didn't want to do that to a friend. Okay, well she was already doing it in a way but it was not like she wanted to keep doing it.
Erin let out something between a scoff and a chuckle at Quinn's words, appreciate the complement but she didn't take it to heart or anything. "That’s what I tell myself every day, but you and I both know that is not true." Erin responded. Yeah, she could see maybe them wanting to hang out with her but not for the same reasons she wanted to hang out with them. She was just not the ideal match with her lack of social skills and not fully understanding the people around her. "We should go to the bar together sometime, be each other’s wing man and get them a girl." Erin said, laughing a little afterwards.
Yeah right, the two of them go to a bar? Erin could do it, but she likely would be using her power for most of the time and when she was not she likely be practically glued to Quinn's side. Quinn then cleared up what happened to the guy he was living with, which made sense and it was like Erin thought Quinn killed him or anything. That would make for an interesting event to happen in a comic about the two of them. "They probably just felt bad and let him move on so long as he went to college here...or something." Erin said with a small shrug. That seemed like something the school would do. It was still holding onto the student and making sure they were smart and well trained with their powers.
Her friend then seemed to try and explain why the whole offering to buy someone something in this kind of situation proved to be difficult for others. Erin just blinked at him once he revealed the possible reason and still added the fact that he didn't know. "But...I do have money? Not a reminder, just a fact. Someone has to pay and I'm offering." Erin responded, not getting what the problem with that was. She didn’t even know what to say at the macho guy comment, that just didn't make any sense to her. This is why she told her father that making friends was a waste of time because people just didn’t make sense with their 'social rules'.
Post by Quinn Wiley on Sept 13, 2015 9:35:38 GMT -6
Erin had some good arguments against what Quinn said. Maybe the boy was too used to being left behind to really care. There was also the fact he didn’t ask to be thrown in that auction thing. Who voted for him as prom prince, seriously? Couldn’t they understand he was happy remaining in the dark, a ghost walking the same hallways they did? He wouldn’t have bet on anyone either at the auction, if given the chance. But if, by some twist of fate, he had won a date with Erin, he knew he wouldn’t have minded to give it to her and whoever girl she fancied.
Only that girl was apparently straight and Erin thought she was too plain to get any other girl to like her. “What are you talking about?” he asked when she insisted they knew better than to believe anyone might want her. Like, for real? Because he knew that, had she been a little less of a lesbian, he might have hoped for something. Hope only, not act, since this was Quinn and acting didn’t seem to be his strong point, but that was still something. Had there been a homosexual social club at Bellefonte, he bet all the girls would be after her. She didn't seem to believe so though and Quinn didn't get it. He scoffed at the idea of them being each other’s wingman. “I don’t see us leaving with girls at our arms then. More like we’ll spend the night at a table, drinking and looking at them wishing they’d look at us.” That could still be done though no? Anyone else might have found that prospect depressing but Quinn actually thought he could have fun doing that. Of course, it was Quinn, so his face when having fun probably was the same as he had right now. But that did not really mattered.
“Maybe,” Quinn answered with a shrug as they discussed his old roommate. He was not all that interested in debating more about him. She didn't get what he meant about the money after. It didn't feel like it. “I told you, it’s a guy thing. It’s like saying ‘I have money and you don’t have a lot so let me pay you a popcorn so you can afford the bus ticket home’. Or something like that.” In a way, he didn’t mind too much that she wanted to pay him a popcorn, he just had the feeling she was paying him a lot of things. Somehow, he was not as cool with it as he thought he should be.

"I'm talking about logic. About taking a step back and seeing it at the big picture. There are not stories or happy ever after where the girl wins the girl. That just does not happen, guys win in the end. Simple fact of life that the sooner I accept it the better my chances are for me to just accept being single for life is cool." Erin responded when Quinn didn't seem to get what she was saying. She didn't understand what was so hard to understand about her not having anyone to feel that way about her.
Perhaps there might be one out there, but what were the chances of her finding them or actually feeling the same way once she got to know them? Well, the latter had a higher chance then the former. She didn't really want to think about it anymore. She was already shooing off the conversation with a hand motion as she shook her head. The conversation then moved onto them going out to a bar together and working together to get the ladies. It was certainly a nice mentally image for Erin, even if Quinn didn't seem to think they would win any ladies.
He was probably right on that, but Erin lived for the day dream and that small hope that maybe just once things would go against the probability. "Nothing wrong with that happening. Now I'm going to call and get us a VIP section to do just that." Erin responded, and she was being fully serious. VIP section meant they would be able to be too themselves, and likely higher up which would allow them to creep; people watch, without having to actually deal with anyone. That seemed like it would be fun and Erin could not help but to look forward and freak out about it all at once deep down. As for the roommate, Erin didn't really care either way since it was Quinn's choice.
Erin still didn't get this whole 'it’s a guy thing' and just blinked at Quinn when he tried to explain it a bit more. Nope, she was still not getting it. If anything she just found it stupid and yet another reason why she was happy that she was gay. "Well, if you want something get it and I'll pay. If not, don't. If it’s a big deal to you then you can pay me back by uh...telling a girl I like her or something." Erin responded with a shrug and a small chuckle. Yeah right, like Quinn would do that for her.

Quinn shook his head at the very long comment she offered him on how a girl never wins the girl, it was always the guy. “That’s not what I meant. And I’m pretty sure that with lesbians, the girl wins the girl, not the guy. I meant, you really think you’re that plain looking?” For real? Like, when she was in Japan, she must have been so different, how could it not have boosted her ego into thinking it made her unique and all that? Maybe the fact she was not the only white girl, or redhead, here made her think she was plain. She was dumb. It was the only explanation to this.
He, on the other hand... It was more than a matter of the way he looked. Or his soft tone of voice. Or his annoying hair he never seemed to keep under control. It was the way he appeared to people, or the lack of presence he gave, that made it clear he’d be single for life. She could turn invisible if she wanted to, he didn’t even need a power to be. He was not sure if he was cool with that. Some days, he was. Others, he just wished he was able to be like the other kids. Only he could not, or didn’t know how. She was the one waving the topic away and Quinn agreed, as it made him think about too many things he didn’t want to. You couldn’t go watch a movie as ridiculous as the one they took while wondering what your place in life was.
She was ready to get to a club with him and just look at ladies. “Yeah, I think you should start looking there about you still being single,” he pointed out. He knew he was no better though. But who could they expect to win if they only looked at them from afar? Then again, watching people while they cannot look at you or notice you was kind of what Quinn did best. Or so he would say if asked. Well, he probably wouldn’t admit it. Because that sounded way too creepy.
By the look she gave him, it was clear she didn't get what he meant to say about the guy supposed to pay or at least split it two, not let the girl pay for everything. “Fine,” he said when she told him he could get something. He knew they had burgers and logically drinks too but he grabbed a bag of peanut butter M&Ms to add to it. “I don’t guarantee you’ll have better results than when you run away from them though.”

"Well...yeah in the case of a lesbian I would win, but said people I tend to end up liking are straight." Erin responded as she let out a sigh. This topic was not one that she wanted to keep talking about. Talking about people she liked, relationships, attractions, and so on were just not topics that were easy to talk to with others. That and the fact that once more it seemed like she was talking to Quinn about relationships and what have you. The two of them were still not pros at this sort of thing so it did not really make a lot of sense for those two of them to really have this kind of conversation.
As for his other comment on the whole 'did he really think she was plain looking', she could not help but to start fumbling with her clothing again and let out a small sigh. "Like...I don't think I'm plain...but I don't think I'm like hot or anything. Average...okay maybe a little more because I'm a natural red head but like...just forget it." Erin said as she started to shake her head. She did think highly of herself from time to time but in person she could not help but to help but feel down about herself from time to time. It was hard to always have a high opinion of yourself when your ego went down easily.
Quinn was pretty much right on the thought about her feeling like she was plain now that she was in the states. In Japan she was pretty much one of a kind, since most of the people that lived there were in fact Japanese and looked like it. So she was like 'rare' and felt like she was special then, but here there were others that looked just as good as her or even better. Just so much verity and what have you, but the girls in Japan had their verity and awesomeness to them as well. Thankfully the topic was being pushed away by her and they were moving on.
"Baby steps, Quinn. We watch them from afar at first and slowly work on luring them over or going over to them." Erin pointed out in response to Quinn's comment. She was not expecting to just be able to win over all the ladies at once, it would take work. Work that she was willing to put forth in order to someday win a girl. Someday. Erin was pleased when Quinn just accepted that she was going to pay for things and that it was not really that big of a deal. "I'll work on it then. IF, you work on smiling more. Deal?" Erin asked as she gave Quinn a smile, almost trying to get the boy to smile right there.
