Charlotte had found her way- somehow- to the music room after another night of tossing and turning. School may have been over but there still seemed to be things on her mind, and the only way she knew to get rid of said stresses was to play. So, at 6am, when she was sure that no one would be up and about, she made her way down to the music with a thermosflask tucked under her arm and a thick sweater thrown over her pj top and some slacks she'd found lying around her room.
She flickered on the light, sipping at her coffee as she walked over to the piano and took a seat. The school was so quiet, silent. She just hoped that Humphries wouldn't turn up and try kick her out- she wasn't quite sure if she were allowed in here before 8am but considering her night, she didn't care much if she got in trouble.
Taking another sip of her coffee, Charlotte set down the thermos so that her hands were free to start playing. She glanced over her shoulder as she pressed her hands on the keys, as if just testing the waters. Once she was sure that she was truely alone, Charlotte began to play softly; her fingers dancing over the keys.

Riley had just finished her morning run, feeling particularly good that day. The air had been crisp and no one was crazy enough to get up at 5 in the morning but Riley. Much as company was alright to have, sometimes the short haired girl just wanted some alone time without anyone to bother her. And now she just wanted to practice a bit on her guitar, just to chill.
So she took a swift body shower and changed into some clothes before picking up her acoustic guitar and heading towards the music room. She wanted to call Lily up on skype for a bit of a duet, but decided against it since it was still 6. Hey, she loved pranking her little sis, but even she wasn't that bad.
However, as she neared the music room, she heard soft music playing from inside. Riley's eyes widened before her expression scrunched up in confusion. Who else was up? And wow they could play really well! Almost like Lily, to be honest Riley though with a slight smile before slowly opening the door and peeking inside. It was some blonde girl in baggy clothes, playing the piano. Riley didn't dare disturb her until she finished her song. She personally hated when people did that to her, so she'd extend the same kindness to another. When the girl finished, Riley took a deep breath. Ok Riles. Don't freak the girl out
"Hey..." She said softly, trying not to spook the girl. "That was really good."

The music flowed perfectly and Charlotte became engrossed in the melody and soon she felt at peace, calmer. Since she was small there had always been something about music that had calmed her; according to her father, when she was restless in the womb and keeping her late mother awake at night that music would be the only thing that would put her to rest. Charlotte smiled absently as she continued to play.
"Hey..."
She had been so engrossed in the music, she hadn't heard the door open behind her. This happened a lot...so by now, Charlotte was used to people creeping up behind her in the music room while she played. Despite this, the voice that spoke at the end of the song still made Charlotte jolt slightly. Calmly, Charlotte turned to face the girl who stood in the doorway watching.
"That was really good." the girl, wearing punkish attire and holding an acoustic gutair, said softly as if not to frighten Charlotte.
Charlotte smiled small, placing her hands in her lap as she turned fulling to face the stranger. Charlotte was a little surprised that someone was a) up at this time in the morning and b) coming into the school building to play some music; but she oddly welcomed the company the girl offered.
"Thanks, it wasn't much..." Charlotte shrugged, turning slightly back towards the piano before looking up at the girl again "Didn't think anyone else would be up at this time...do you play?"
Charlotte nodded to the gutair the girl was holding, even though the answer to her question was pretty obvious.

Music for Riley had always been.... Well, everything really. She loved music with every fiber of her being, ever since she was a little kid. It was the only thing that her parents could use to get her to calm down, and Riley became addicted to the stuff. The genre didn't matter: country, dubstep, hip-hop, rap, trance, heavy metal- Riley love it all (except opera. Yeah, she never really got into that). She appreciated music and the people who could make and play it.
So when she came in just expecting to have a nice session between just her and her guitar, she was so pleasantly surprised to find another person who could really play. This girl seemed like she really poured her heart into the piece, and Riley could definitely appreciate that. She grimaced slightly when the girl stil jolted, but she seemed to recover well. Well, she hasn't bolted out the door or scrambled into the corner. So far so good, Riles. she thought.
Wait, not much? "Not much? Girl, that was fantastic!" Riley insisted with a smile, fully coming in now that she knew the girl wasn't going to bolt and scream at her sudden appearance. She laughed at the next remark. "Yeah, I'm a bit of a wacky early bird. But hey, I just figure I can get more stuff done that way before everyone else is awake and everything gets all hectic." She mused, grabbing a chair and scooting it kind of nearby before plopping herself down in it. "And yeah, I play. I call this one Jazzy, and my electric one Razzy. And yes," she added with a grin, "I named my guitars. I'm eccentric, I know." She smirked at the end of her statement
