High Fashion

Now, Jun-Aaron was all about the high fashion but perhaps he was taking it a bit too literal this time around. Only because he was up on the roof to get in some photos of a girl; woman, by the name of Selina Taylor. Said woman seemed more than happy to help Jun-Aaron out with yet another photo assignment that he needed to make up. It was kind of hard to be taking summer classes to get in some extra credits when you still had to go off to do photo-shoots or to work at odd times.

Still, it was not so bad thanks to the lovely woman that had been helping him out; or that he pretty much dragged to help him out, but semantics. It was also true that yes he could use males, but he liked girls and guys were reserved for drunken antics or if they guy just clicked well with him. So if he was going to have to be the one behind the camera instead of in front of it he wanted it to be a dame before his lens. "Alright, this is all about the everyday girl's fashion. That’s why I asked you to bring a few of your favorite outfits." Jun Aaron said.

He made some adjustments to his camera to make sure it would be getting the photos that he wanted. His wings were out, mostly tucked against his back but he occasionally outstretched them due to his need to just want to fall off the roof and fly. Knowing himself very well, it was very likely he would end up doing that just so he could feel the wind between his feathers. Darn, urges. "Did we already do the name introductions? Jun-Aaron, just in case." Jun spoke up as he glanced up at the girl as he jumped up onto the edge and focused his camera on her for a moment to make sure it was right.

    The mountains were so pretty from up here, she’d definitely have to hang out on the roof more often. Selina loved fashion, and she also loved heights, so really, he didn’t have to drag too much once she’d heard what it was that he’d wanted. Besides, he was incredibly attractive, and she sort of had a weak spot for that type of thing. Selina had picked out her favorite denim jacket and was wearing a deep red camisole underneath. Her long hair was pulled up in a high ponytail and her large golden hoop earrings glimmered in the sunlight. Her dark stretch jeans were flexible enough to allow her to do whatever she wanted and she grinned at him as he told her his name, “Selina Taylor,” she offered in response.


    She’d brought a few other items of clothing in her duffle bag as well, some were slightly more formal and some were more casual, as she wasn’t entirely sure what it was everyday women wore. She loved to shop and find things that complimented each other, were dramatic, or were just plain fun, but she’d only ever had enough money to do her shopping at second-hand shops, so current trends had never really been something she’d been able to keep up with. Her new job had allowed her a bit more freedom with her choices, but most of the money went into savings, so she was still mostly put together by thrift stores.


    He looked so good in his outfit that she almost felt a bit shabby in comparison, but she didn’t mind too much. Selina found herself watching him in fascination, as she’d also never met someone with such beautiful wings before. She’d seen some interesting things here at Bellefonte, but his mutation was just gorgeous. Was it rude to appreciate beauty? Selina quickly averted her eyes and looked into the camera instead, “Anything in particular you want me to do? Poses, expressions, that type of thing?” she asked.

Jun-Aaron was pleased that such an attractive female had been willing to help him out, but very few woman that went to this school were not attractive. The mutant gene had to be strong in those who were good looking; then again everyone had something about them that was attractive. If not to one person, to someone body else. It was just how things worked out. That was what Jun Aaron liked about humans, that unlike animals they could like someone for something outside of their looks but looks were still very important. At least to him, but he was a model so he had to care about his looks at the very least.

She gave her name, which meant that they must have skipped that part, which was believable with how Jun had been so focused on the task at hand. He sometimes got like that, all caught up in the work that he forgot about the person that he was dealing with. "Nice to meet you Selina. Love the way that names flows off the tongue." Jun Aaron said as he gave the girl a wink after looking up from his camera to give her a good look. Yes, she was perfect for what he was going for; that every day kind of girl. He was still going to make sure to get a few shots of others in that similar 'just be yourself' look for the sake of the project he was doing.

He was pleased that she had followed his instruction on bringing a few outfits with her, since he wanted to get her sense of style in several different photos. His current outfit was smoking hot and he had several idea of what kind of girl he was, but he kept that to himself. He was not here to talk about what she was into but more so the way she dressed and how it reflected her overall feelings for herself and what she wanted others to see when they looked at her. He played with one of his bracelets for a moment before feeling like he was ready to get to work.

"I want you to pretend that I'm not even here. Just be yourself, act like no one is watching, and that you are just hanging out on the roof." Jun Aaron said as he started to step back and accidently stepped off the edge. "Oh shi-" Jun Aaron said at first, but his wings natural spread out to catch himself and he flapped a few times and landed back on the edge. "Okay, let’s pretend that didn't happen and get to it." Jun Aaron said, slightly embarrassed as he held up the camera to get to work.

    Selina grinned at his comment, “Pleasure’s all mine, Jun.” Yes, her tone was suggestive, and as blunt and forward as she always was. Selina was more than capable of separating business and pleasure though, so she had no trouble focusing on his instructions. Though imagining what else his tongue could do was entertaining to say the least. Selina was almost worried when he started to fall, but then she watched in both mild awe and amusement as he caught himself with his beautiful wings.


    Selina nodded to him as he asked her to forget about it and stepped up onto the edge of the roof herself, balancing precariously on the edge. It was one of her favorite things to do, and this definitely wasn’t her first time up here. She walked along the edge, her arms slightly out to the sides to help her balance. She smiled as she glanced down at the students beneath her. Something about being this high above them was almost empowering. Not many looked up this way, so she had a good vantage point to people watch without being seen herself.


    Selina then looked up out over the school grounds to the distant blue and purple mountains with their peaks lightly dusted in snow. She could stay up here for hours and not even notice the time passing. Selina then sat down on the edge of the roof after a bit, her feet dangling in the air as she watched two students get into a minor altercation. It was amusing to see it from up this high. She couldn’t hear a word of what was going on, but she could just imagine.

Jun-Aaron just gave a sly smirk in response to Selina's words. Oh, that was most certainly suggestive and he picked up on it very easily. It was always pleasant to meet someone that could play the game and had no problem playing it. Of course he was not going to try and seduce her right now and try to 'get some' up on the roof; even if doing such a thing on the roof did sound pretty hot. They were here for work and he too was good at keeping the two separate. It was just not professional when you tried to mix the two and one didn't get done well. That was why you did all your work first and then you could play later without having anything else to distract you.

He was pleased that she seemed like she was not going to say anything about the whole falling thing, which was great. He didn't like it when he would fumble in such a way, it just seemed so sloppy and made him feel like he was coming off as nervous or something. He was far from nervous and more so him still getting used to working with a camera. He also had a feeling that some part of him wanted to just go off and fly and that was why he was not really paying much attention to where he was going. Not that it mattered at the moment; it was time to go to work. He didn't even feel the need to give her any direction because she was already moving about, behaving as she would as if she were alone.

That was what he wanted. For her to just be herself, act like he was not even there, and just exists. He didn't even say anything as he moved to capture images of her balancing on the side of the roof. He made sure to get a verity of shots, from capturing the whole scene, and to the expression on her face. He was practically in love with the shot he managed to get of her sitting down and looking at people below. This is where his wings came in handy as he did fly up a little bit to get a shot no normal photographer would be able to get without the aid of something. "You are absolutely beautiful. I love the way you carry yourself.” Jun spoke up as he moved a little to get another closer shot.

“Mind telling me what is going through your head right now?" Jun asked, all for the sake of what he was doing here. That and he was a little bit curious. What did a girl like her think about when she was up so high and looking at the people below her? Did she have any worry about falling? Not that he would let her fall, since he had wings and all.

    Selina smiled at his compliment, “Thank you,” she replied with sincerity. It was rare that people complimented her without wanting something, though she had a good feeling that they wouldn’t limit their relationship to professionalism when all was said and done, and Selina was definitely looking forward to it. She smiled at his question and nodded to the two boys fighting, “I’m thinking… they’re definitely battling each other to see who gets the pleasure of being in my company first,” she told him with a teasing smile.


    “Though, what they can’t possibly be aware of, is that I’m perfectly happy with the current company I’m keeping,” she said as she looked his way with a slightly heated gaze. She then glanced down at the boys, “I’m also making up an internal monologue for what each of them is saying,” she added more honestly. “Depending on my mood, it’s either dark or amusing or a twisted combo of the two.”


    Selina then paused as she looked out over the rest of the campus, “In general, when I’m up high in places like these, and I see people like those two fighting so intensely over something that I can’t even hear. It’s like… you can kind of see how small your problems really are sometimes… or something. I could also just be babbling. I have a tendency to do that,” she added with a laugh. “Everything is so distant from up here… It’s kind of like being a god for a brief moment,” she admitted quietly.


    She absently looked down at the ground beneath her, thinking about the fall and just how exciting it would be until she hit the ground. Sometimes, she was tempted to leap, not because she wanted to injure herself and die, but because she wanted to experience the free fall for those few brief moments. She didn’t quite share that with Jun though. She didn’t want him contacting any counselors or anything. It was a passing fancy, nothing more… or at least for now.

Jun-Aaron just nodded at her thanks for the complement and went about his work. He was pleased that he had seemed to make her happy with it, since that was part of the reason you gave someone a compliment. While one could not really say that he did not want anything in return, It was not like he was seeking a compliment back or for her to sleep with him after this. No, he merely wanted her to be in a good mood for the photo shoot and more willing to work with him. Who would want to work with a guy who was just silent or came off as rude? No one; unless they were getting a decent amount of money out of it. As for Selina’s feeling, she would be right in terms of him not keeping it professional after if she did not want that.

Why miss out on such an interaction when the other person wanted it as well? Still, it was important to know that such a thing was not his main goal and that he honestly cared a bit more about making sure this photoshoot went well then he was about getting laid. “Oh, I see.” Jun said as he took a quick look at the people she was talking about before he gave a small nod. “I could take them both.” Jun said with confidence as he flash a smile at Selina and kept to his work. Nothing wrong with a little play with his work as long as the work got done first. There was the compliment then to him, at least one could only take it as a compliment by the way she said it.

“Someone is skilled with flattering.” Jun responded with a small chuckle. This was most certainly fun and he was happy that he had lucked out asking such a girl. He listened as she spoke of what she was thinking about, getting a verity of photos the whole time, and mostly pleased with his work. There were a few photos that could have bene better but he would not claim to be a pro with a camera when he was a pro in front of it. It was always interesting to hear how others thought, epically in this kind of situation and he was going to pull from some of her words to go with the photos he was taking.

Jun didn’t say anything as she spoke of being worried about babbling and how she did that sometimes and possibly was doing it now. He didn’t see it as babbling and even if it was, it was what he basically asked for. To get a glimpse inside her thoughts while he was taking her photo and wanting to capture all that was ‘her’. He was satisfied with the shot he got and was ready for her to change to get capture some more images of her wearing something else in her style. However; he caught how she as looking towards the ground and knew the look all too well. “I’ll catch you if you really want to experience what it’s like to free fall. From this height it’s not as fun as free falling would be, but it’s a small step.” Jun pointed out, already stretching out his wings.

    "Could you?" she asked with a laugh. "I would be interested in watching that," she replied, smirking as she looked back down at them. "Fights are always exciting," she added. Her smile was a bit twisted, but she had never once claimed to be sweet or innocent. No, those words were never hers, and never would be. Though at one point, they'd seared her, feeling like coals settling in her stomach that would slowly burn her from the inside out... but she'd moved passed that, or had at least hidden it better.  

    "Thank you... And it seems you are as well," she commented, a wry smile on her features as she absently brushed her hair back behind her ear. For some reason, his constantly taking pictures of her didn't bother her in the slightest. It wasn't like she was used to this type of thing, though this wasn't her first time. Perhaps it was just his personality that made her feel more at ease, either way, it was very easy for her to do as he had asked. 

    Selina smiled at him as he stretched his wings, "Well then, should we find someplace higher to jump from?" she asked, a daring light in her eyes. After all, if she was going to do this, why not do it right? "Besides, you might get some interesting pictures from it," she offered. Free-falling and her life resting in the hands of a stranger she didn't know... sounded like fun. Some would think she had a death wish, and they wouldn't be entirely wrong, but they wouldn't be entirely right either. He didn't seem like the type to intentionally drop her to her death.
