The end of the He-Man Woman Hater's Club (tim)

Karsen walked into the club room with a bit more confidence than he usually did. He had just came back from working out with Selina and he was feeling pretty good. The funny part was that, it was one of the first times they had actually worked out and not done other things. He was pretty sure that something as momentous as losing a v-card should probably be mentioned to his best friend. Still he had yet to hand over the virtual reality sets, or the robots he had to redo. they weren't as tall as he first wanted, just a little taller than him.

He had managed to get the gps and hockey stick thing going though the camera wasn't easy. Which was why he had to hid it in the hockey mask he had duct taped to the robot's face. He had to really think on that tech for the robots. the robot itself looking like he took parts from the junk yard as he actually did. It was only two and one of them was shorter than the other. they looked like the would collapse at any moment but Karsen was sure that they would work. He had already stashed them in the office before he went to meet Selina. He only had to bring the Vr headsets because he had forgotten them.

He walked in to find that Tim was already there. "Hey dude, sorry about not meeting up with you after the time before prom. It's just been really hectic for me." He said taking out the headsets and setting them on the desk. unlike the robots, they looks sleek and brand knew. Mostly because the entire time he had them he kept upgrading them so he wouldn't feel so bad for ignoring his friend's request.

"Also, i'm going back home for a couple weeks. So if you have anything you want me to take a swing at best tell me now before I have to start packing and getting into that drama dealing mindset." He crashed into the chair, his face missing his normal glasses in exchanged for contacts. There was something off about him alright.

Tim had been busy working on getting some stuff together since the clan was going to be doing some raids fairly soon. he'd also been alternating between spending time with Lux and finally getting the mutant interview footage edited together. He also needed to come up with some ideas for various filler vids to make while he was finalizing the bits and pieces for that. so, yeah, there was definitely some editing and some work that needed doing and Tim wasn't about to slouch off on any of it.

So he hadn't really noticed Karsen coming in late. He just extended a hand and offered a "'sup" as the other guy walked in and started talking about hectic and stuff. He did add a "and no worries, man: knew you had a date," Tim was tempted to badger his friend about said date, but he was instead too focused on looking through footage and sifting through things and what have you.

He did pull his attention away as Karsen mentioned heading back home. "Something heading up back home?" He asked, raising brows and racking his brain for information on Karsen's family. "Nobody's sick or anything, right?" Because for some reason that's where Tim's brain went first. Well, it actually went to the headsets, now that Tim saw them and all, but he didn't want to be quite that tactless.

Karsen winced at the mention of the date, so many things had happened since then. "Yeah the date..." It was funny how much at had happened to him in the span of such a short time. He had hopped from Amanda to Selina to Cosette and back to Selina after he drama with Cosettee He wasn't really sure what his romantic life was doing but it was most definitely driving him crazy. "Man, girls are driving me crazy Tim. Im kinda missing the oblivious days...but like not."

Karsen shook his head "No, my dad just wants everyone together. He thinks he convince me to transfer back to the school in Quebec." it didn't matter if he was from there he loved where his life was going, even if things were hectic. He saw that Tim had his sights on the headsets and he was more than happy to get his mind off of his family.

"So, these headsets should work like a regular expensive one. With a few added features and better graphics. The only problem is until ive figure out how to make it work cross platform its just for clan stuff." He was kind of upset he couldnt get it to work for his new video game but he was going to figure out it eventually.

The date, and then you could almost hear the ellipses. Tim arched his brows, wondering if he was even the best one to provide advice like that. Yeah, he had his relationship with Lux and all. It was apparently the kind of relationship that took almost a year or so to get to the parts of the relationship that most people got to in a few weeks and also apparently involved a very protective friend who was far too eager with baseball bats.

"We're nerds," Tim pointed out, pointing at himself then Karsen, waving the pointer back and forth between the two, "we should just be thankful that girls we didn't make are paying attention to us," which was still something of his rallying cry. Though honestly, he knew of enough geekier girls that would probably go out with either of them. Then again, Tim was pretty well already dating one, so, that was a thing that was apparently happening.

He did have to wonder when Karsen suddenly got into girls though. didn't really gel with what Tim knew of him or whatever, but hey, if the guy wanted to let his penis out to play, that was his thing.

"Canada sucks," Tim offered by way of his opinion on that, before turning back to the headsets. "Well, they just gotta work for the standard PCs right now. Not really wanting to get them too cross anyway," Tim was picking up one and studying it. "Should just be a half step up from Oculus, right?" he looked on the inside, curious both at it and how Karsen managed to make the things. Sure, Tim didn't have a power that caused him to make stuff like this ,but he still understood a fair amount from all his own tinkering.

Karsen shrugged his shoulders "I dunno, I mean things with Amanda didnt take off. But I made this thung and got two college to test it out...it looked hot. One of said college girls is my personal trainer and my best friend from Canda tranfered here and she's driving me batty and im not sure i mind." He sighed, not sure why it was kind of ironic to him that he was talking to Tim about his girl problems. "I guess you're right"

He nodded and he shrugged his shoulders "Yup, that pretty much somes it up. I still want to give it a few upgrades but i got them so if i update one they all update." He was still going to get them to at least his video game. He wasnt going to rest until thay happened. He had just been so bush between keeping ul with Cosette and the Selina thing. His projects were pushed to the side.

"Okay, pause," Tim said, holding up a hand. "There were a lot of words there, and most were put in an order that only kind of resembled sentences," which was admittedly how they often talked, but those discussions usually involved devices and video games and television shows and definitely not getting two college something or others (coeds?) to try out... "things." There was also apparently a best friend from Canada? Tim was tempted to point out that he was Karsen's best friend, ergo there couldn't be another, but that didn't really seem to be the point of things.

"Yeah, ignore the headsets for the moment," he said, gesturing toward the devices. "Can't believe you made me say that," he mumbled before narrowing his eyes and pointing a finger at Karsen. "You're making me ignore enhanced video game equipment, that's how weird this is all getting. Now," Tim rolled his hand, "go back and try to explain this. Talk slow or something, because you're about one fast-forward away from sounding like one of the droids from Star Wars or something."

Yes, the Star Wars reference was necessary: Tim needed something to ground himself in reality here.

Karsen nodded and took a deep breath "Okay so I took over the Madtech thing for Maddie and made a sex toy...Vera and Selina tested it out for me." He said giving Tim time to process that because it was a big one. Well not a big one, but it was pretty much up there. It wasn't like there was anything nefarious going on there. Well he did hook up with Selina which brought him to his next couple of points.

"That some how lead to Me and Selina hooking up, Amanda is focusing more on school and stuff so me and her are just friends. Also mY friend From back home came, and we maybe kissed...and more." He said rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. He wasn't even sure how this could happen to him. He was normally locked away in his room and typing away or hammering. He was pretty sure that last year he was still trying to step out of his room for more than classes and for more than twenty minutes.

"It's really crazy..I have no idea what i'm doing man." He said sending a stressed and slightly freaked out look towards his best guy friend. Now was the time he was hoping Tim would offer advice, he was the one starting college in the fall. He needed words of wisdom, and he needed them fast.

Madtech was still a thing? Tim did vaguely recall that, and the crazy, hot girl who'd ran it (again: where were all these girls when Tim was single? Under rocks?). The thought of having both Vera Marcello and Selina Taylor potentially trying out a sex toy... wait, did that mean that... did Karsen, like, watch? Tim was tempted to ask. Also halfway tempted to see if he could get one for Lux, which definitely led down a fun little path for a moment.

Just a moment though, because Karsen was immediately talking about hooking up with at least two girls. "Dude, you're a nerd, how the hell..." Tim wondered aloud. He also couldn't help but wonder how it was that he was the one in a long-term relationship and not getting any while his scrawny, younger nerd friend who built robots in his spare time apparently had two ladies on the side. Tim took a deep breath and let it out slowly, reaching up to push his glasses up.

"Pretty sure that Selina's screwing just about everyone with a penis," he pointed out, "if the rumors are, like, at all true. Not shy about it," Tim tapped his fingers. "And your friend from back home is apparently a friend with benefits? Seriously man: did you invent some kind of cologne that gets ladies to just rub themselves on you or something? Because damn," Tim shook his head, wondering just what the hell happened to his friend, and also why he hadn't decided to bring any of this up until now.

"I dont know" Karsen said honestly shrugging his shoulders. He had no idea what was happening. Some magical mystical upset in the balance of the universe. He was pretty sure it wasn normal for a sixteen year old to be hooking up with a college girl. This was like she's out of my league times too. Even though Karsen knew that there was nothing putting him in a certan class but but still.

"Dude, Selina is how especially when she speaks spanish. Also Cosette is also hot, She's a bit strange though. No dude, hell if I had some magical Cologne i woukd share with you. I just started working out and hired Selina as my Trainer." He was just as surprised as Tim was. He needed answers and his best friend to tell him that he wasnt dreaming.

Yeah, something was definitely off with the universe. Years of being mostly ignored and being essentially the two scrawny black nerds, and all of a sudden, Tim gets the girl of his dreams, Karsen's working out, Tim's hanging out with legit supermodels all the freaking time, and apparently Karsen was trying to determine which hot woman to stick his penis in. Yep, someone was definitely screwing with them. Tim could only hope that at least it was enjoyable to watch.

Yes, both girls were hot, but Tim still wasn't quite sure that it was healthy to be attached to the Selina girl. "I'd blame pheromone manipulation if it was around," Tim offered. He let out another breath, before his eyebrows crinkled. "Working out? The hell you need to work out for?" He looked over at Karsen. "Like, seriously dude: we're not meatheads," prided themselves on it. Then Tim had to grin. "Is it for all the sex? Because that I could understand."

Karsen shook his head and then shrugged. "Not really for sex, I mean it's a reason, but also because I've been thinking about things, and I don't want to be just that Scrawny computer guy..ya know?" What he was he thinking? He should probably just stick to the way things always were because that's how they were meant to be. After all, what if he was drastically changing the order of the universe or something? Then again, to be fair he had never really saw a need for interaction before the recently ended school year...and now that he had... It was time to see how good at it he was.

"Maybe I'm just a late bloomer, I've only recently discovered what attraction is so maybe...It's just something that comes naturally?" Most likely because Karsen was an adorable sweetheart, who people didn't realize was a teenage boy until his dark side came out. It wasn't his fault, now that the monster was loose it didn't want to be tamed again. It was actually getting to the point that Karsen was contemplating going to an actually high-school slash college party. "Yeah..So uhm..That's about it. At least I didn't come back from having sex...I actually was working out with Selina. She surprisingly drags me off a lot." He said getting lost in thought before shaking his head to clear the image.

"So, headsets and robots..right?"

Tim raised a brow as Karsen said it wasn't really for sex. What else did someone work out for? Especially if that someone could actually build robots to do the heavy lifting for you. Tim was tempted to point that out, but Karsen had already started going, insisting that he didn't always want to be the scrawny computer guy.

"Hey, we scrawny computer guys take ourselves very seriously," Tim insisted. He didn't quite fit in with the scrawny part that fully, if he were being honest. That had more to do with genetic than any actual effort. His arms had gotten pretty damn impressive from all the wheeling himself around and the dance lessons were actually paying off (in more ways than one), but that didn't mean he was "working out," or at least not in the way that would have bros giving out hi fives.

Karsen insisted he was a late bloomer, and Tim just had to hope that his bud wasn't blooming away from him. Not that Tim would actually say as much: that would be way too gay by about, a lot. Karsen continued, mentioning Selina this time. "Oooh, the hot girl wants to--now that makes sense,' Tim said, bobbing a finger a few times in Karsen's direction. "No problem man, just, wrap your scepter or whatever," Tim adjusted his glasses again, nodding. "Yeah, those are our two projects," he looked around, "you got protoypes or something?" Wasn't there one that Tim had been looking at before his whole world and potential future had gotten rocked or something?

Karsen shrugged and nodded "I know man, maybe I'm just going through and identity crisis or something I don't know." If he was being honest, He didn't really expect Tim to understand. For the longest time, Tim had been his life line to people, he had been in the background and had said nothing. It was kind of weird to see him actually doing stuff without Tim to be the spokesperson while Karsen hid in the background. Karsen didn't want to break that, but he didn't want to be a wallflower any more. He wanted to be the kid who had the numbers and ties in the popular crowd. He didn't say that though , he kept that to himself. He knew there was an imbalance in their friendship and he was okay with that. Karsen couldn't have it all the computer skills and the connections. He wanted to keep Tim around, his friendship with Tim was simple and uncomplicated, with Tim he was Karsen the anti-social computer wiz, though he got tired of it sometimes, it was a constant.

"Yeah, I got a prototype for the robots, I had to rebuild them but there they are, I just basically taped the cameron into the hockey mask because I couldn't get it to fit with the programing"

Identity crisis? This definitely struck Tim as a pretty major one. He couldn't really complain that much though: since going out with Lux, he'd been shifting through identities pretty quick on his own. He did still have some of that nerd core in there, but now it had that direction and stuff like that to back it up.

Well, they had the projects to consider. "Hey man, whatever works. Sometimes just jiggering something together and slapping some duct tape on it works wonders," and sometimes it ended up dumping Tim into a bush or something. Well, he'd learned how to rebound from that stuff fairly well. once you'd lost the use of your legs, you kinda learned to rebound.

Tim adjusted his glasses, looking over at his friend. "So, you got a few you can show me? Or are they just trained to attack anyone who isn't you or something?" Which somehow wouldn't surprise Tim. Though he didn't quite know why he kept wanting to cast Karsen as a mad scientist. It might have something to do with how crazy he was acting, mixed with his crazy good skill at putting shit together. Or something.

Karsen shrugged, he still kind of wished he had time to actually do more, like get his ideas together and find out how to make it the work the way he wanted to. He just didn't have time to figure out what was going on with him and his inventions. He had no idea, that figuring out the whole growing up thing was way harder than seemed to be in psychology books. Like he thought he would just sit down and lay out the things and fit the pieces together, only it hadn't gone the way he had planned and now he was stuck somewhere in the middle trying to get back to who he was before he started branching out. At the same time there was a part of him that didn't want to go back to hiding away in his dorm. However he was a bit unsure what or rather who he was in this whole thing and it was starting to irk him.

Karsen laughed awkwardly "Funnily enough, that's pretty much how it works, I wasn't able to actually find away for it to identify Erin's specific heat signature, soooo I had to do basic facial recognition and it basically only knows i'm not the target right now" Which meant that should it turn it it would probably try and hit Tim with hockey stick. He just didn't have the time to program Tim's face into the non-target thing when An actual face was better than a picture in his opinion.

"I can program it to not attack you, but I needed you to actually be there" Considering he was trying to get his shit together it wasn't that big of a deal that he hadn't had the time to hang with Tim.
