Franck should have known it. Had it not been how he came to the conclusion he was gay? But after his training he felt like resting a little and sat on the bleachers. He was in no hurry to head back home despite having nothing else to do here. When the guys asked him if he wanted to play a game of basketball, he politely declined. He enjoyed sports and he didn’t doubt he could do well if not great but touching all those guys while playing... Franck knew he could take people’s emotions but he still tried to avoid touching people if he could.
And now that the teams were set, they needed a way to distinguish them. The oh-so-old-yet-proven method of the shirt versus shirt was suggested and accepted by everyone. before long, Franck could regale himself with the sight of a few guys without their shirt on, all throwing them at a mere feet away from him. He blinked, trying not to look. People knew he was gay, right? Well, maybe not everyone, but he didn't want any comment to come his way for staring too much at a guy. He knew some of them could be pretty macho and had to show off how male they were by mocking the poor gay boy. Franck could say they should be flattered as it meant they were so hot, they attracted even the gay guys. But to some of them, it was like saying they were gay themselves and they could not have that.
After a moment, Franck thought it might be best if he just left. He had no reason to stay here. He was walking down and out of the gym but he heard a sound that made him turn. Was someone behind the bleachers? Or maybe it was just the guys. He was not sure. But he still went looking, just in case.
