The fair was back, a place that Devyn had mixed feelings about currently due to who she had gone here with last year. Was there no place that she could go that would not bring back memories of the person that broke her heart after Devyn thought she was different? So far that had not been the case unless Devyn actually left BA. That just again reminded her of the fact how very right she had been to want to leave this place and start all over. Yet, Vera had said what she did and Devyn could not help but to want to be with the other girl.

They had the history for it and Vera also had that thing about her that was the biggest drawl for Devyn. People who were damaged, those she wanted to protect and see what was really there besides what they would show the world. Damn, I really need to figure out a way to not always be brought back to these thoughts. Devyn thought to herself as she stood back and waited for Vera to come back from getting them a treat she really wanted to try. Even from far away Vera was breath taking and Dev wondered why Vera even wanted to deal with someone with her track record. Vera had even said that she loved Devyn, who had still not said that word back.

Was the fair the right place for it? She tried to tell Zoe those words twice while here and the girl panicked before she could get it out and the other time one could blame the win but a small part of Dev wondered now if Zoe ignored her, as if there was already a plan for them to end so it didn't matter what she tried. That thought made her let out a low growl for a moment before she took a deep breath. "Welcome back, now excuse me while I beat that guy up for checking out your ass." Devyn said with a smile when Vera came over to her.

She moved to give Vera's cheek a quick kiss before she would attempt to go talk to the guy that had so watched Vera walk away, but who knew if Vera would actually let her do anything. Dev really should have been working on not trying to beat anyone who looked at Vera, because that was just being overprotective. Yet, how could she fully relax? She knew how she felt about Vera and knew that she would not be able to handle losing someone again. It would be four times too many.

Vera hadn't even bothered with going to the fair last year, and had it not been for Frank's persuasion and wanting to help raise money for a good cause, she probably wouldn't even had participated in the dating auction either. Last year was just a friendly reminder of how she enjoyed dodging everyone like the plague. That's what happened when you were fighting a severe case of PTSD and your emotions for a guy you wanted but couldn't necessarily "have".

This year she got to enjoy the fair with Devyn. Last year, she probably wouldn't have seen it coming; the whole being out together as girlfriends. Best friends, yeah maybe but not as girlfriends. It was kind of set in her head that Devyn and Zoe would have been together forever or something, while Vera stayed alone with her hopes and dreams of being together with her crush.

Funny how things never played out how you thought they would. Vera headed back to Dev with two white paper bags filled with fried oreos covered in powdered sugar goodness. Vera planned on going all out in unhealthy eating today. Fairs were totally a good excuse. "Thanks - uh what?" She had been confused for a split second, not even noticing anyone checking her out until Devyn made it obvious.

She felt the kiss on her cheek but quickly held both bags in one hand as she turned and reached to grab her girlfriend's arm so she could pull her back. "Easy there, Tiger." Vera moved in front of Devyn so that she'd block her girlfriend's sights of the guy, now handing her one of the bags of fried goodness. "Remember, babe? Devyn. Look at me. Remember? We were going to try to enjoy the fair today. Right?" Vera looked at her until their eyes met, nodding and assuring that they would. "Besides you need to learn how to ignore people like that. You can't just beat up everyone who looks at me..." She chuckled, "You don't see me going after everyone who drools over you." Yeah, there were way more than Vera liked to admit.

Vera was from New York, she had a knack for ignoring and brushing off every fucker who checked her out, whistled or even cat-called.

Devyn would have thought the same as Vera; that she and Zoe would have been together forever. They likely would have if Zoe had not broken up with her and been so piety about it all, but that happened and now they were friends on the loosest of terms at times. Not that any of that mattered now, at least Devyn was trying to not think about the last girl that broke her heart. Now she had Vera, another girl that she cared a lot about...even loved. She needed to say those words, soon. She was still just holding back out of fear, but what was there to fear?

Vera had already said those words...but so had Zoe and things still ended up bad there. Good thing the fact that someone was checking out her girlfriend was enough to push those thoughts and worries aside. Dev was blaming what Vera was wearing, how could someone not look? She knew she would have had she not been with Vera, but she was and that meant Vera was hers alone. She was going to give the guy a piece of her mind; and maybe her fist, but Vera was grabbing a hold of her and then stepping in front of her.

Dev let out a growl at first; glaring at the man that had been checking her girlfriend out before her green eyes looked to Vera's hazel ones when she heard her name. She let out a grumble, but stayed where she was and tried to calm down. Vera had a fair point, but Devyn could not help but feel on edge. She gave a small nod in response to Vera's right, taking a deep breath and listening as Vera pointed out how she needed to learn to ignore such things since Vera did a good job at it herself. Devyn didn't know how Vera could handle just ignoring people checking her girlfriend out, but she obviously had a confidence in the relationship that Dev didn't have yet.

"Sorry, I'll try and not maul the next person who checks you out." Devyn said, as she made it a point to wrap her arms around her girlfriend’s waist and pull her in close. She didn't hesitate to give Vera a quick passionate kiss, then sending the guy another look to end her point. "You sure these things are not going to give me an instant cavity or a sugar attack?" Devyn then asked, changing the subject to the fried Oreo's her girlfriend handed her. She hesitated a moment, waiting for Vera to answer her before she would try one. She was not really big on sweets but when she did have them she went all out so these were actually perfect.

Vera had felt that what she had on today was perfectly fine, compared to what she used to wear out in public. She also knew that no matter what she wore, people would always find some sort of reason to. She just learned to ignore it and only give attention to those whom she wanted to mess with, which was also put to a halt due to her relationship with Devyn. Which meant that her girlfriend had nothing to worry about, but she had to admit; she kind of found it really hot.

Devyn gestured that she heard Vera, but did she really? "Thank you- Mmm..." She was then pulled into an unexpected and passionate kiss that she hadn't expected but that didn't mean she didn't enjoy it. When it broke, Vera wiped the edges of her lips while pressing them together. She knew her lipgloss wasn't going to last long today. Why she chose to wear any? No idea.

Vera opened up her own bag and looked inside while pulling one out and taking half a bite out of one. "They might but it's sooo worth it." She ate the rest of that one while trying to lick up the powdered sugar from her fingers as she looked at Devyn with a child-like smile. "If I'm gonna use this day as my cheat day, we're going all out. We're getting fried snickers, funnel cake, elephant ears, ice cream, fried pickles..." She grabbed another one out of her bag as she eyed Devyn with a sly smirk, "And you are getting diabetes with me."

The telekinetic took a bite and still spoke with her mouth full. "Was there any rides or games you wanted to try out first?"

Devyn loved what her girlfriend was wearing, and normally she did not have an issue with what Vera would wear out in public. Unless she was in the nude, then Dev would have a problem because that view was currently hers to have. No one else; no one that wanted to live anyways. She wanted to kiss Vera all the time, but that kiss was meant to really make it known that Vera and her were together. Devyn didn't even care if anyone was bothered by two girls kissing. They could suck on this issues, she would not give a damn.

Why was she so angry? Right, jealously with a mix of worry floating around inside of her. "Heh, I got you lip gloss on now." Devyn responded back when she could feel a bit of it on her lips. Of course this caused her to lick her lips since she was not used to having such a thing on her lips other than when she kissed someone. She preferred chap-stick, only for the sake of keeping her lips healthy and moist. Devyn waited for Vera to take the first bite before she would bite into her own fried treat. It was pretty good, but man was it sweet. Devyn felt like her teeth were going to fall out right then and there. Meat was not really sweet, so it was part of why she was not used to eating sweet things when she mostly ate a lot of meats and starches.

"Damn that is sweet, but...like sinfully good. Bacon is still better, but this is good." Devyn responded, tossing all of it into her mouth. Who had time for taking bites when you could just eat it all in one go. Granted, it was messy but a little less messy then taking bites and dealing with crumbs and powder or whatever falling off of it. Devyn's eyes widen a little as Vera listed all that she planned to eat...and apparently she had to eat all of it with her. "Trying to kill me, clearly." Devyn responded, chuckling a little as she shoved another one into her mouth.

Her mouth was to full to talk without spitting food out so she nodded her head yes at the question. Before doing a slightly painful swallow of her food, which cause some coughing before she was able to speak. "Yeah, I wanted to go on a few of the costars but most of all the Ferris wheel. Have to have sex on that, yup. Got to." Devyn said, half teasing as she gave her girlfriend a wink. "Let go on that one first. We can be bad and hold hands and try and swing." Devyn said as she pointed to a ride, reaching to take her girlfriend hand so they could walk over to the ride.

She usually enjoyed wearing chapstick, but there was just something about a New York chick that couldn't necessarily shake away who she was. Vera had a guilty pleasure of wearing thick clear lipglosses and really big hoop earrings, crop tops that were too revealing and short shorts that were way too short with making sure her sneakers matched. So it was safe to say that she evolved from most of that... but the lipgloss was staying. She smile slyly as she moved to give Devyn another big kiss, making sure to smear off even more lipgloss. "Now you have even more."

Her fingers dug into the bag to grab another bite as she watched her girlfriend try her first bite. She responded with a nod, "I don't think anything is better than bacon but there's nothing wrong with sweet." She blinked, watching Dev intake the whole thing. "More like you're trying to kill your own damn self. At least I take my time with getting diabetes."

Vera moved to pat Devyn on the back when she coughed, "Wait... you want to what?" Her head lifted as her hazel eyes looked ahead at the ride. There was nothing wrong with getting on it, or even a ferris wheel but here Vera thought she'd have to behave herself. It was clear that wasn't happening. She felt her hand being grabbed as she soon had no choice but to follow, "Okay but don't try anything funny. That shit looks way too unstable to be messing around on."

So maybe she didn't necessarily have the hugest fear of being up in the air but still. Was that shit supposed look so unstable?

Devyn had no problem with what Vera choose to wear, it was her body, and she was a grown woman. Plus Devyn already knew that she had clearly shown her possessive side to Vera a few times already and didn't want to drive the girl mad with it. So she could deal with Vera wearing what she did, other than the fact that she didn't like when people were looking at her girlfriend. However; she was going to do her best to behave and make sure that she didn't do anything that would upset Vera; since she had a habit of doing that to people she cared about. "Gee, thanks so much. I just love having so much lip gloss on my lips." Devyn said as she chuckled a little, being sarcastic of course.

She didn't mind the gloss but she didn't get why Vera liked it. It practically left a mark on everything and just made her lips feel sticky. In the end, Devyn had a way to get Vera back for such a thing. All she had to do was kiss Vera on places other than her lips and leave the lip gloss mark on her skin so easy to see when the light hit it the right way. It was why she leaned in to give a nice big kiss on Vera's cheek to leave such a wonderful lip gloss mark of her lips on Vera's skin. It was almost as satisfying as leaving a mark on Vera's neck with her teeth, almost.

"True." Devyn responded to Vera words about bacon being the best but sweets were nice. Dev didn't mind sweets but in the end they would lose when it came to the meats. Devyn just smiled at her girlfriend’s words about Devyn likely to end up killing herself and was thankful for the pat on the back when she started to cough. "Heh, you should know by now that there is only one thing that I can eat slowly." Devyn said as a smirk spread across her lips and she gave her girlfriend a wink. That should have been the biggest hint in the world for what she was talking about, but Devyn moved on since she was so ready for some rides.

"I want to go on a few of the costars, but most of all I want to sex you up on the Ferris wheel." Devyn basically repeated when Vera asked her the question. She was certain Vera had heard her, but was probably just making sure she heard right. She did, and Devyn was serious about it, even while she was laughing a little and honestly would still go with whatever Vera wanted in the end, so long as they got on some rides. The line moves pretty quickly do to the ride just ending a round and now letting new people on. "Aww, don't worry. I'll keep you safe babe. Pick a swing close to mine." Devyn assured her girlfriend with a smile before tossing another fried Oreo in her mouth and scampering to get on one of the swings and was so ready.

She smiled, "You're welcome." A nod added after, "I think the gloss really brings out the color in your eyes." Lip gloss opened up a world to the ones who wore it. That and she just really enjoyed how her plump lips looked when they were shiney. Personal personal preferences. That sort of thing. Chapstick didn't do much justice, lipstick was sometimes over the top during casual days, so that made lip gloss the perfect candidate.

And now she had her own lip gloss stain on her cheek. Great.

Vera couldn't help but to smile as she chuckled. She shook her head as she noticed the wink. She said nothing, because there was really nothing that needed to be said. She knew exactly what Dev was talking about and that there was always that charisma she'd have about her. The type of charisma that made girls want to drop their panties and following along whatever plan Devyn had, the same type of charisma that guys found intensely interesting.

It was the same kind of charisma that Vera fell for since day one, and because of it Vera would make sure Devyn would be eating her words later on. Literally.

"And you're not even just a least bit worried that someone would catch a glimpse of us?" She hadn't been worried either but she figured had someone saw them, then you know... it would soon be the talk of the school. It was just that she had never done anything on any kind of ride. The guys she was into back home usually didn't take her to cute things like fairs, so she had no experience in that area. Surprise, surprise.

The line surely did move quickly. Great. Vera wouldn't call it a full blown out fear, maybe something that was still in the works. She could get through a whole plane ride if she just slept through it, she could do a high roller coaster because it was fast, but having your eyes wide open while being swung high in the fucking air with only metal chains in between you and your death... Yeah, it didn't scream 'Ride me' and the thought of it made her squeeze Devyn's hand just a little tighter, almost refusing to let it go.

She snapped out of her thoughts as she noticed Devyn already moving to sit in one of the ready swings. "...Uh, yeah. Right." Vera somewhat hesitantly sat in the one right besides her and held on to her bag of fried oreos as she also looked up at what held the swing all together. She wouldn't back out now, she wasn't some punk and she didn't need Devyn knowing she was kind of freaking out right about now. Her hazel eyes glanced around at all the other people who seemed way too excited to be getting on.

Oh god, she was going to die.

Devyn laughed a little at Vera's comment about how the gloss really brought out her eyes. "Oh really now? Thank you so much for bringing out one of my features." Devyn said as she batted her eyes a few times. She really was a chap-stick kind of girl, just something to keep her lips from getting fry or cracked but she didn't mind having Vera's lip gloss on her lips. Vera often had good taste but unfortunately for her Dev had a habit of kissing it all off because how could she not kiss those lips as often as possible? Plus it was nice to be able to leave a mark on her girlfriend’s face, that was just an added bonus and filled her need to have a mark on her girlfriend to show that she was Devyn's.

Vera so caught what Devyn had meant, she always did. Dev just could not help herself around her girlfriend, she just made her so happy and the happier Dev was the naughty she usually got. So Vera could blame herself for making Dev so happy to the point that she just wanted to take her girlfriend right there on the fairgrounds. "You make me happy, you know that?" Devyn asked as they headed for the ride. She chuckled a little at Vera's question on the whole being caught. Dev was never really worried about being caught but Vera pointed it out made Devyn wonder for a moment.

Perhaps it was best that she didn't try to do such a thing with her girlfriend on a ride, she didn't want Vera to have to deal more drama then she already had. "Nope, not worried but I can behave and just wait until tonight." Devyn responded as she gave her shoulders a shrug to show that it was not a big deal. She still did want to try it because the 'danger' behind it was just too thrilling but she played it off as nothing for the sake of not wanting Vera to have to deal with shit. Soon they were on the ride, with people quickly grabbing seats and the guy running the ride telling the rules of not hanging on one another, throwing things, or dropping any food that he knew some people just went ahead and got on with.

Dev was pretty much almost done with her bag of friend Oreos and boy did she already feel a little wired. However; wired enough to miss how her girlfriend was acting. "Vera! It will be okay. Remember I won't ever let anything bad happen to you." Devyn informed her girlfriend after calling out to her to get her attention. The ride then started up, slowly spinning as it lifted off the ground, leaning on its side, going higher, and just kept spinning. Dev was having a blast, but she kept an eye on her girl too.

Vera laughed, "One of many." She winked at her girlfriend as she took another bite out of her fried bag of goodness and possibly diabetes. She tried wiping most of the powdered sugar off of her face and lips while they were on the move, until she heard Devyn admit to something. Which, by the way, made Vera smile. She made her happy and that made Vera happy. That's all she really wanted, and it felt good to know that she was succeeding.

Rolling her eyes, she chuckled. "Of course you're not worried." A part of her wanted to try it now, once they got to the ferris wheel after this. Heck, who was she kidding? She fully wanted to try it but of course there just had to be that little voice of reasoning. When did that voice ever develop into a full embodiment of her conscious? Working in security really had you on your P's & Q's even when you were out and about. That really had to stop.

When the fair working mentioned not carrying food, he looked specifically at her as if she was just going to throw her bag away. Vera furrowed her brows with a pout and held her bag close to her like some kind of refusing child. She still had one fried oreo left and she wasn't throwing it away for anyone. So that fucker could forget that idea, pronto.

Not only could she feel her heart beating faster but now Devyn was calling out to her. The pout somehow managed to stay on her face even while looking at Devyn. Her assuring her that nothing was going to happen did not make her feel any better. Because who in the hell would be able to catch a swing gone off the handles all the way up in the air while the ride was in motion? No one, that's who. So that little assurance? Right out the window.

When the ride started, Vera took a very deep breath as she looked around her. "Oh fuck..." The faster it got, the more out the swings became, it just added to the whole stomach dropping feeling in Vera's stomach. The telekinetic looked down as the ride was going and the height didn't help at all. It caused her to close her eyes for a bit before looking straight ahead, and around, and even towards Devyn who seemed to be having the time of her life. The wind in her hair, the thrill, it all felt good for a small bit, at least it reminded her that she wasn't dead yet.

"Oooo, smooth talker to rival even my flirtatious skills." Devyn responded back at Vera's words of 'one of many'. She took that complement; party ate it up, and wanted to do the same to Vera but now was the time to behave. Eat the fried treat, swing on the ride, and just have fun at the part. Devyn was going to do her best to behave for the sake of Vera not having to deal with any drama later on when she would have to go back to work. They were both on the squad, but Vera was the one who was a security intern which carried a lot more weight than a simple security squad member which was made up of a group of students.

Devyn just smirked, why would she ever be worried about something like that? She didn't care about getting in trouble over something so small that she would at least try to cover up. She was still a teenager and hormones were strong with this one. It had been more than a year of a dry spell for Devyn before Zoe and her broke up, then a long time after that, and really she had not done anything with anyone until she and Vera slept with one another before prom. So yes, there were some needs that Vera just knew how to meet in all the right ways that Devyn could not help herself now that she had that physical contact that she enjoyed and was so very good at.

Dev had pretty much finished all her food by now, unable to eat anything slow and was feeling like she was about to explode from the sugar in her system. She just hoped that she didn't get too out of control, but was thankful that the ride was helping burn it off with how she was getting a rush from it all. She was having a blast but Vera didn't seem to be too much, but at least was tolerating it. The ride did not last two long, but it probably felt like forever for her girlfriend, which Devyn planned to make up to her by letting her pick the next ride. When the ride did come to a stop, Dev was quick to get out of her swing and meet up with her girlfriend.

"Told you that you would live. You can pick the next ride and I'll even give you a piggy back ride if you want." Devyn offered up as she smiled at her girlfriend. At any rate she would be moving with Vera at her side or on her back since they could not hang out in the ride area since others wanted to get on. Dev did fall silent for a moment as she would move away from the general crowd and off were only a few people were milling around. "This might seem out of the blue, but I have been thinking about it for a while now and uh..." Devyn said, her voice trailing off as she cleared her throat and felt like punching herself to just get it out there.

"I wanted to let you know that...or more so I wanted to ask you if you still love me. Like love me in the relationship kind of way like you said on the trip...when I didn't say anything back. Cause I love you, Vera." Devyn said, feeling like just letting her shadows consume her in that moment but she had managed to keep them at bay and even not allow them to do more than twitch as she walked past the various shadows casted on the ground. She didn't look at Vera; she couldn’t, not yet when she felt like she had probably just screwed things up.

Vera was not having a blast.

The whole time during the ride, they were basically flying... high up, in the air and there were tons of feet below them. High up, in the air and all of it was very much visible; The people below them, the ground. She hadn't known what had came over her, and out of her all of her fears, heights hadn't even been on the top of her list. It was safe to say that this attraction would help it reach the top five. Did Devyn hate her? Was this some sort of payback for always flushing the toilet when she was taking a shower? It had to have been, how did she agree to this?

The ride felt as if it had gone on forever and for the most part, Vera managed to stomach it. Even letting out a little yelp here and there but mostly focused on how high up they were. By the time it was all said and done Vera wanted to kiss the ground she walked on but decided against it and instead looked at her bag and tossed it. There was no way she was eating after that stomach dropping disaster.

The mixed girl ran her fingers through her hair as she gave Devyn a look as they walked, "Yeah, barely. I didn't know it would be that high up. God, I thought I was gonna die." She took a deep breath, "It's okay, you don't need to give me one." She flashed her a smile, "At least not yet." She could get down with the idea of picking the next ride.

When Devyn mentioned thinking about something, Vera slightly furrowed her brows. Then there was the question of if she still loved her and Vera had to suddenly assure her girlfriend that she did. That wouldn't change. "Of course I still l-" Then there it was, out in the air that surrounded them. Devyn actually admitted to it? She did love her. This whole time Vera had been worried shitless about the moment she up and confessed her love for Devyn. Worried that maybe Devyn didn't entirely feel the same way. It was a scary thought and she had to admit, this feeling right now had been way better than wondering for all those days.

She loved her...

Her jaw relaxed as a soft look washed over her face. "Dev..." It must've taken everything for Devyn to tell her. She couldn't even look at Vera and that told her more than enough. Vera stopped as she grabbed at Devyn's arm, hoping she'd stop. She moved in closer as a soft smile decorated her lips, "Look at me." Vera hadn't waited long, she couldn't. She instead moved in to kiss her favorite set of lips. She soon broke the kiss but didn't move back, instead she stayed as close as she could to Devyn. "I still love you."

While this would have been the perfect revenge, it had not actually been planned to be the revenge to get Vera back for that whole bathroom incident. While Devyn did feel bad that her girlfriend was clearly not having the time of her life, she had to admit it was kind of cute to see Vera like this. Vulnerable, afraid, and in no control. It was probably Devyn's inner alpha that was the cause of her enjoying the view or perhaps something darker within her. Still, she would not have allowed anything bad to happen to her girlfriend and would have even risked mutant exposure if it came to it in order to keep Vera safe. A little fear never hurt anyone and the ride eventually ended without incident so it was all good.

Devyn felt fine after the ride, no upset stomach, and she felt like she could go on it and well anything and still be fine. She had a pretty good stomach but she had eaten a lot of different things growing up, so the was pretty much expected. She was even a little hungry but that all became thoughts in the back of her mind as the more pressing thought wanted to come to the surface. "I would not have let you, and let me know when you do need on." Devyn spoke up, assuring Vera that she would not die and the piggy back ride was there whenever she wanted it. More importantly, she had to tell Vera how she felt, she needed to.

She was afraid of what Vera might say, how she might react but she was supposed to be giving her all on this relationship. She had time to think about it, she thought about it, and fully understood how she felt. The only problem was the way she loved someone; forever, and it had already been proving that no one else seemed to be able to love her in such a way yet. So she did, and waited for what Vera had to say. She even flinched slightly at hearing her name, worried about what would come next and still could not bring herself to look at Vera when the other girl told her to. Dev's green eyes turning slightly darker as she slight glanced at the girl before she was made to look at her and lips meeting her.

That was a good sign, a very good one. Well...Devyn did that to avoid talking so perhaps it was not a good sign after all. Vera's words however proved that it was indeed a good sign and Devyn could not help but to have a slightly embarrassed smile spread across her face as she even started to blush a little. Vera loved her still, it might not have been the love that Devyn had for the girl now, but she still loved her even after having to wait. This didn't turn out like last time; it was okay to hope a little. "That makes me...so happy to hear. I really do love you Vera...so much. Sorry it took me so long to say it but I wanted to be sure, to be ready for what could come later on but I'll keep working on making you happy so that you will keep loving and wanting to be with me." Devyn responded, her eyes looking down towards the round in a very submissive manner but she leaned forward to give Vera another kiss.

Damn...she felt like exploding now, in a good way.

Okay so maybe Vera had been a little overdramatic about the ride now that she was finally standing on solid ground. She still had butterflies left over, which wasn't enough to make her stay away from foods the whole time but for now, she could let go of her fried oreos. That fucker probably knew she'd want to toss them out, that's why he was so intent on instructing everyone on not bringing food on the ride with them.

The telekinetic simply looked at her girlfriend who seemed more than fine especially after coming off of that ride. Vera cleared her throat and started brushing her fingers through her hair as if she was unphased by the whole thing. Which she wasn't but the girl had to play it off.

To say that she felt relief wash over her was an understatement. It wasn't easy for Vera when it came to telling Devyn that she loved her. It had happened in the heat of a fight and she hadn't really thought it through, it just came out. Her feelings for Devyn were so intense, she knew it was real but she never thought about how Devyn might have felt. Then again, Vera didn't really give herself time to think anything through. Ever since the road trip, she was kind of scared shitless. Like, what if Devyn hadn't felt that way about her? That meant that she had made herself vulnerable to Devyn and it would look like a one sided thing. She'd look stupid.

There were a lot of times Vera felt stupid, she didn't need this to be one of those times.

So it was safe to say that she was happy, she was actually very happy and it made her heart not feel so heavy, like weight just lifted. It didn't change that she'd still love Devyn, even more now than she did before. Nor would it change if Devyn never admitted to loving her back. She pressed her lips together, smiling from ear to ear as she nodded, trying to keep her contact the beautiful green eyes in front of her until they looked down. "I love you so much." She was met with another kiss, her hands ran down along Devyn's arms until both hand held both of Devyn's own.

She broke the kiss, chuckling as she spoke. "I think something like this is worth the wait..." Vera tried to blink back tears, "I'm not the easiest person to love. Trust me, I know." She tilted her head, "I just - you know, sometimes I expect too much and I thought I had pushed you away when I just said it first. I, uh..." She smiled, "You make me really happy, okay? Just know that." Devyn did, and Vera wasn't expecting some sort of fairytale of a relationship because they weren't perfect. Their relationship wasn't either but it was theirs.

Devyn had honestly been worried that Vera would not have felt the same about her ever since the road trip. Vera had admitted her feelings when they were fighting, so perhaps she had not actually meant it and it was just because of all the build of emotions that she felt like she loved Devyn. That and perhaps even if it were true, the fact that Devyn had said nothing on it could have made Vera feel like it was not worth it to love someone like her. Devyn didn't really know, all she knew was that she was scared of admitting it but it was too late. She needed to do this; she had to let Vera know that she did actually care a lot about her. That she actually loved her.

She had waited too long in her last relationship to figure it out and perhaps that was why things were the way they were now. While Devyn's only regret was not saying it sooner, she was still happy that as a result she got to be with someone like Vera. A girl that seemed to just get her, gave her time, and while she was clear about her emotions she actually talked to Devyn about them. It never seemed like Vera was worried about Devyn shutting down or pulling away from topics, that she would still talk about them and back down only when Devyn really pulled away from them. Sometimes.

It all still came together in such a way that Devyn could not help but feel over the moon and embarrassed when Vera did in fact feel the same way about her. "I really do love you...so much. I love someone forever Vera, I hope you understand what that means." Devyn responded, still very much scared and nervous about all of this. Another kiss, Vera's touch traveling down her arms, and in general Dev just getting a little more excited about her girlfriend touch and touching her in return. Vera's next words actually made Devyn’s eyes start to water a little bit as she turned to look away only to refocus on Vera gain as she spoke.

"Heh, stealing everything that I want to say about myself and how I’m hard to love. You make it easy and I need that pushing at times..." Devyn admitted as she held both of Vera's hands in hers. She was pleased that they had moved off away from the main traffic flow because everyone would have been seeing this incredibly cheesy and soft moment between them. They had a rep to keep; tough and badass girls. "You make me happy too....but can we pick another ride to get on before I turn into a soft puddle of all this?" Devyn asked as she was not used to being all soft and feelings this way for long periods of time.
