"Bring it on!" Frank demanded, slapping the table in front of her with an open hand. The gesture puffed up enough air to disturb the bib she'd tied around her neck, making it flutter slightly. The girl wearing it grinned, bits of what appeared to be pie still sticking to her cheeks. she reached up with one hand and began wiping it off with a finger, snagging bits and pieces and sticking her fingers into her mouth. She popped it out with an audible noise.
"C'mon!" she said, hitting it a few more times. "There's gotta be someone out there who totally wants in on this action!" she gestured at the pies that were sitting nearby. Technically this wasn't the official eating contest; it was debatable if they even had those, what with so many mutants that practically had "bottomless pit" for a power (including the one sitting at the table with pie right now). Frank hadn't really cared. One advantage of actually having money and pull was that you could do stuff like this: essentially set up an eating contest of your own.
"What are you waiting for?" she threw her hands up. "It's free pie! All you gotta do is compete with me, and I'm just a girl!" she slapped her hands down and then tossed her hair. "An admittedly super hot, super sexy girl with, like, curves like pow," she grinned and looked around. "But you know you wanna take a chance. You there!" she pointed. "You totally look like you wanna eat pie. Get over here and eat this pie. It's delicious: you so won't regret it." And Frank broke into a wide, toothy grin again.
It was yet another rare sighting of the Barry Grep at the festival today. Watch as he aimlessly wanders throughout the fair grounds, perusing the different shops set up by other humans in an attempt to... "Ok, I really gotta stop watching those Nat Geo documentaries." Barry muttered to himself, shaking his head get his thoughts to stop talking like that. In reality, Barry had headed down to the festival to see what he would be able to buy in terms of food. They always had really good stuff during the festival, and Barry normally saved up money just so he could buy dozens of sweets from some of the stalls.
By the time he had finished, his backpack was full to bursting and he had to carry two bags by his side just to keep all his food. But man was he beaming! He couldn't wait to get back and start chomping away at some of his sweet new eats, and his stomach growled in agreement. But then, there was a finger pointing in his direction and Barry blinked. She was mentioning something about pies and... Wait pies? Barry's features immediately perked up and before the girl could blink he was at her side, bags, big girth and all. "Pies?" He asked hopefully, glancing at the stall they were at before looking at the girl. "Go ooooon~." He said, raising an eyebrow and grinning

"Oh hi Barry," Frank said, bobbing her head a few times. She raised a hand to sort of salute the young man before she again picked up the pie. "As you can see, today we are eating pie," she gestured at the dessert. "It happens to be the most scrumptious of desserts, filled with all kinds of goodness and just waiting for us to eat it. Obviously you're gonna want to join me in eating it."
Frank smiled as she said this last, putting on her most wheedling of voice. She did realize that she did look cute, especially when grinning, and she leaned forward slightly and fluttered her eyelashes as she did so. Though most people who knew her would know better than to assume that Frank Cox was anything close to innocent. Even when she was wiggling a pie in their direction.
No, especially when she was wiggling a pie in their direction.

"Oh, Hey Frank!" Barry returned when he realized it was her. He returned the salute before looking back at the pies. As she talked, selling the pies basically to get his interest, Barry could feel his stomach growling and had to stop himself from drooling. Oh yes, the boy loved sweets. It was one of the quickest ways to his heart. So when Frank started putting on her seducing, pleading look and fluttering her eyelashes, Barry only laughed and poked her playfully in the nose. "Girl, you don't need to use that look on me! I am SO in!" He said, grinning from ear to ear.
He knew it was dangerous. Of course it was dangerous. It was so obviously a trap! But Barry didn't care, because it was pie and because it looked fun. So: Challenge accepted

Frank grinned as she recognized one of her latest friends coming forth. She gestured for him to take the seat closest to her even as he moved forward. Then she was gasping as he prodded her nose. "No touchy!" she said, flinging her arms about for a moment before giggling. Like that was a rule that she really went along with.
She adjusted again, setting the pie down where she'd indicated for Barry to sit before pulling out one of her own. "Right, so obviously we're going to have our own little eating context. Probably involving eating at least this pie and maybe eating some more. I haven't really thought that out yet," she paused, staring at them, considering. Her lips pursed together and she stared own at the pies for a few moments longer.
Then she looked at him. "Well, what about you? You got an idea, eh?" she leaned over and poked him, clearly already having forgotten about the whole no touching rule that she'd established a grand twenty seconds ago.

Barry laughed at her reaction, clearly uncaring as he poked her again with a wide grin. "I do what I want woman!" He said with mock seriousness before taking a seat. He listened- sort of- as Frank described her plan. As long as it involved eating, Barry was ok with that. But the. Frank seemed to pause and asked him if he had any more ideas. Barry snapped out of his hunger induced trance to consider it.
How many pies should they eat? Barry stared down at the pie before him before picking it up and turning it every which way, judging its size, thickness, and all. By the time he set it down, his stomach was painfully growling. "We should try for... Ten? Something like that." Barry said. And then he had an idea and grinned widely at Frank. "And we can't use our hands!" He added with a chuckle, wiggling his fingers at her

Frank stuck her tongue out as Barry insisted that he did what he wanted. She might have outright blown a raspberry at him if it came down to it, but there were plans that needed describing, plans that involved the eating of pies and other delicious bits. Frank had already gathered two, and now she was listening intently as Barry outlined a plan to eat even more.
"Ten!" Frank said, slapping a hand down on the table, she quickly pointed with the other, "are you sure that you can handle ten? 'cuz for me, that's, like, a snack," Frank pursed her lips and nodded, "yeah, like, something I'd sneak between second breakfast and elevensies," sometimes having an eating power was well and truly awesome. "No hands sounds like a total idea though. It should totes be time too! You, person who probably has a phone!" of course this was a random person that Frank pointed at, "get ready to do time! And we need twenty pies!"
Frank was already flicking out her credit card, gesturing with it. Not that she probably couldn't have paid for the pies out of pocket money, but still.
When Frank asked if ten was too much, Barry only laughed. "Nope! It's perfect! That is definitely how hungry I am!" He said with a grin. He had eaten about as many before, so it would be fine for him to eat this much now. He knew Frank had an eating ability, but he didn't care. It would be fun anyways. And no matter what; it was still food. And that was all the convincing he needed to do this.
When she mentioned timing it, Barry grinned and nodded. "Great idea! That'll definitely make this better!" He said, and then watched as Frank flagged down a random passerbyer to time them. He laughed heartily at the sight. "Recruiting the peasants, hmmmm?" He asked jokingly, glancing at Frank as she waved her card

Frank laughed in response to Barry's laugh, a natural reaction, to be sure. it of course ramped up her enthusiasm further, which probably wouldn't do so well for the various passersby and bystanders and other peoples nearby who would somehow be referenced with an attached "by" somewhere. Even now she'd already started with the timing one.
"Hey, they aren't peasants!" Frank insisted. she leaned forward, raising a hand to shield her mouth as she continued; "They're background characters, and you gotta treat them nicely 'cuz even though there's, like, one hundred and six of us still active right now, they still outnumber us by a lot," Frank rolled her eyes and jerked her head and then slid the card over. Soon she was waiting impatiently and pushing around the pie in front of them.
"It'll probably be a bit," she said, tapping her fingers on the pie. "Then we'll totes compete and--oh, we should figure out the prize! There should totes be a prize. Hmm..." Frank paused, tapping her finger to her lips. "Maybe the winner should have to pay for the loser to go on a ride or something?"

Barry leaned in when Frank whispered conspiratorially to him, mentioning the fact that they were outnumbered. He rolled with it, subtly shaking his head and shielding his mouth just like Frank had. "Then we just have to act natural. Maybe they won't suspect anything." He whispered before shooting a look at the 'volunteer' timer, who only stared back at Barry with confusion. Barry made the hand motion of 'I'm-watching-you' before leaning back in his seat, leaving a very confused timer.
Then they sat waiting for a few seconds before Frank spoke up again. She mentioned something about it taking a while (which made Barry sigh and slump in his seat) before she said something about a prize. Barry brightened up at the idea and straightened himself again. "That sounds like a great idea!" He said. "I'll take that bet! Deal!" He said, sticking out his hand for her to shake and seal the gamble. This was definitely turning out to be fun!

Frank nodded to Barry's plan: "That's a good idea. It's pretty much how we survive," she gave the nearest person a little smile and a wave. "Plus, you never know when one of them ends up becoming one of us or gets their own story or something," she said, looking over the crowd a bit more. She noticed that Barry had given one a familiar motion and she giggled.
Then it back to business: the contest. They set the stakes and Frank took Barry's hand in a very enthusiastic shake. "Awesome! So we've got the stakes, we've got the ruling, we've got the pies coming..." Frank ticked each off on her fingers as she went, extending her hand. She paused as she got to the last one, bouncing her hand on her finger for a bit. She looked expectantly at Barry then, raising her brows. "Anything else? We gotta get it all set up before the pies get here, 'cuz when they show up I'm sure not gonna stop till I've scarfed 'em all."
Barry looked back at Frank as she spoke and nodded his head sagely. "Yes. We definitely gotta be careful of the ones that get their own story. They could turn into the antagonist at any moment. So we must be sneaky, like fox." He whispered before glancing at the timer one last time and settling in his seat again.
When Frank listed off all the things they had done, Barry mulled them over in his mind. "Hmmmm...." He hummed, scratching his bearded chin in contemplation before shrugging. "I think that's it. I can't think of much else honestly. We got everything done for the challenge. Except the piiiiieeeessssss." He said with a sigh, his stomach rumbling in sad agreement. Barry only sniffed and patted it. "I know, I know. Be patient, my dear. You shall get food soon." He said dramatically before looking over at Frank and grinning. "Girl, I'm gonna totally do the same. Gonna put em hungry hippos to shaaaaaaaaammmeee!" He vowed, raising a fist in the air

Frank probably would've continued with the whole side character turned villain thing, or perhaps continued lamenting the total lack of food. Both were obviously subjects with which she was quite well versed and eager to discussion at the slightest provocation. However, Barry had happened to say one of her trigger words in there, which resulted in her eyes snapping open, her hands slapping on the table as she leaped up:
"WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY!?" she practically yelled, before hopping onto the table and assuming the proper dancing position (which apparently involved tucking her hands up under her chest and jumping. "RING DING DING DING DIIIING," and shaking her booty for several moments. She ended by turning as Barry extended his hand into the hair, reached out for it, leaning over the table to do so, and grabbing it hard before yelling out a "whoop" and thrusting her other hand into the air in a very dramatic manner, grinning a near manic grin all the while.
Of course, when Frank suddenly stood up and burst out the lyrics to one of the most ridiculous viral song videos ever, Barry's own eyes snapped open. He watched as Frank jumped up on the table and danced, and couldn't resist playing along. One did not simply resist the call of the Fox song. So Barry hopped up onto his chair with surprising agility for one so large, and started to dance along and sing. "WAPAPA PAPA PAPOW. WAPAPA PAPA PAPOW!" He called out, not giving a single shiet that they were literally acting out something of a comedy act now.
When Frank grabbed his one hand, Barry grabbed at hers with equal grip and laughed, raising his other hand into the air. But then he froze as his spider senses were tingling. His eyes shot over as he spotted a person heading over with a bunch of pies. Inhaling deeply, Barry pointed with his free hand. "Frank! Our time has come! The pies... Have arrived!" He announced dramatically with a twist of his hand, thumping back into his seat

Frank loved that Barry actually danced along with her. Once more, if something else hadn't distracted her, she likely would have continued in her antics. In this case, that would have meant dancing with one of her new BFFLs to one of the best songs ever written and then acted out via totally awesome video that SO INVOLVED A REAL LIFE TRAINED FOX (because they obviously had those in Norway, as everyone knows; just ask a native Norg).
However, there was the whoop and the arrival of the pies. "Yes, pies!" Frank declared before spinning on the tabletop, spinning and then scooting over. The person holding the pies was looking at these two as if they were rightfully crazy and probably regretting not having their phone.
Frank slid into the seat and patted the tabletop. The pies appeared, and Frank licked her chops in an overly animated way before leaning over. She locked eyes with Barry. "On three," she said, already moving her hands over, fingers twitching. "one..." and of course she expected him to start counting with her, so they could at least say "three" together before diving in.
