Elsa sighed and tapped her fingers against the glass, watching the sparkling water within ripple slightly. Times like this, she truly regretted the US's drinking age policy. Of course, she wasn't supposed to be mixing alcohol with the medications she was currently taking to fight off her stomach parasite, but that definitely wouldn't stop her at the moment. what was the worst that would happen? The tapeworm would be drunk? That would probably make this meeting that much easier.
yes, meeting, because that's how Elsa saw this. Gabriel Lewis happened to be one of those that Elsa's mother would probably faint over. Elsa did make a noticeable effort to at least meet everyone who fit into that category, though the last time she'd tried hadn't gone so well. Then again, it had given her reasoning to start investigating, so she presumed it to not be too much of a bust.
It didn't help that things with her love life were... complicated. Complicated enough that Elsa wasn't sure if she could really call this a "date" or not. So, "meeting" was what it became, or perhaps dining. Yes, Elsa had curled her hair and done makeup and wore a dress that emphasized the slight tan she'd gotten from her recent charity work, but she still saw this as mostly business. Figure out Gabriel, small talk him, possibly arrange something more long term. Perhaps even enjoy herself in between.
"now I just have to hope he's not one who likes to be fashionably late," Elsa mumbled as she swirled her glass again, eyes going across the semi-crowded dining room of Kalispell's finest eating establishment and looking directly to the door, as if her gaze could summon her party guest. When after a few seconds it didn't, she took a swig of her drink and looked across the table reflectively, still lost in thought.
