It was about damn time Akeem got a car. Seriously though, what was his father thinking? Oh right, it was ‘fair punishment’ for being sent back here after they spent so much money for college. It was so he can learn to be ‘responsible’ and ‘adult’. He just wanted an excuse to punish him, really. Which kind of sucked because out of his two parents, his father was the one he liked the most. Which meant he tolerated the man. That could still count as love.
That meant Akeem had to take the bus back to Bellefonte. The same bus that just left the stop and went down the street. Akeem tried to chase after it when he realised that but he stopped pretty quickly. There was no point he could catch it. He might as well give up. He sighed heavily. That was just perfect. His fastest ride back to school, and he was saying this with irony, just left without him. As if he didn’t hate this place enough already!
“Damn!” he exclaimed before groaning. He knew it was pointless but it felt good to let it out and it was better than to kick and punch everything on sight, his second option to get it off his system. Now what? A taxi? They had to have some around, right? But it was not exactly like New York with them swarming around, just waiting for you to call them out. “It wouldn’t have happened had you left me my car,” he grumbled in direction of a father who was not here. But who cared, it felt good to curse at someone, even if he was miles away. He pulled out his phone, hoping he could get a taxi or find out when another bus might just show itself.
