Sucking her lower lip into her mouth and smirking, causing a deep dimple to appear on one side of her cheek, Addison shrugged when Akeem seemed to attempt at making her feel better. "I should feel better about that, huh." She replied a little sarcastically, although in a pretty pleasant tone of voice considering how sarcastic she was.
The mention of steak made Addison pull a face that showed that she was impressed by his choice. "Okay, that, maybe I can get behind." She shrugged lightly.
Addison probably didn't have any preconceived notions about rearing children. Not having a healthy childhood didn't do her any favours. But she did remember the good that her foster parents did for her. She didn't think it would be in her best interest to have her own offspring, but if she did, and the child had to go anywhere, her foster parents would probably be a better fit. She would not make a good mother.
She was about to turn around and leave the dude's side forever when he pulled that last stunt. Was he trying to keep her there? She stopped in her walking backwards and smirked. "Maybe." She took a step closer to him and raised an eyebrow. "You really should make it up to me."

“Some say you have to find the good in everything,” Akeem told her but whether she was a total idiot or not didn't really matter to him. At least she was pretty. Any lack of intelligence she might have was saved by this, allowing her to go far in life despite that little problem. He was not sure if her tone was to mock his attempts. Pretty dumb girls were usually not that great with irony though. Most of the time, they didn’t get it. That tended to prove she might not be as stupid as she let it out.
Akeem was still thinking she was not one he’ll look for when in search of company though. She was a little weird. Alright, a lot weird. And talking of kids, even if she admitted herself it was a stupid thing sort of blew him off. At least she was not one of those diet freak. Girl who ate one salad during a month and complained for the rest of it that they were fat were not his type at all. He was not asking for someone who stuffed their face either, but there was a balance. Although bringing an anorexic to his father would be interesting. He wondered who would give up first, the chef or the girl? “I guess I should be impressed at those who can be vegetarians but I’ll never be able to survive on tofu alone.”
Her last comment had him look at her with pleasant surprise showing up on his face. Okay, maybe she was not all that bad to hang around after all. Unless she wanted to go with the babies again. Then he was running out of here. “Should I? Do I have to apologize for the way I look and how distracting it is? I am sorry.” he leaned his head towards her as he apologized but a smirk then printed on his lips as he returned to a more comfortable position. “Well, not really.”

"Oh they do, do they." She licked her lips and let her smirk grow. He clearly wasn't a guy easily impressed, which wasn't something Addison really cared about. They both had that in common, it seemed. They were both quite indifferent. She was just a little awkward about it.
Addison shrugged at his remark about vegetarians, not quite as involved in that topic as she should have been. She was not a fan of the greens, plain and simple.
Pursing her lips, though a hint of a smile was there, Addison raised an eyebrow at his faux apology. "Bet you do this to all the girls who pick up your nuts for you huh." She teased, stepping closer to him slowly.

Akeem was not quite sure if he could adhere to this view of the world, finding the good in everything. Sometimes, it was just bad. There was no point in bitching about it or try to make the most of it, you should just give it up and go for something better. Something that is really good. But if some people were into compromising, it was their problem. He wasn’t so good at that himself. Why should he settle for less? What was the fun in that?
He smirked, even laughed at her comment that was actually very cocky and could be pretty suggestive, if she thought about it. Of course, since he literally had her helping him grab some nuts on the floor, it was not as suggestive and he wouldn’t let her justify her words with that explanation as it would take away all the fun in them. “No, that’s a technique I kept only for you. Something about you must have told me it was the best way to get to you. After all, coming over and say ‘hi, I’m Akeem, let me hypnotize you with my eyes’ is way too easy,” he replied, darting said eyes straight into hers. Whether it hypnotized her or not was entirely up to her and her willpower.

"I feel so special." She tilted her head slightly as she folded her hands behind her back. When he looked at her, she raised an eyebrow and was reminded what had happened with Ellen the last time she hypnotised her. That had been an awful experience. But she didn't feel anything from this guy so she thought she was safe.
"Your eyes are pretty hypnotising." She said slowly, staring into them. He did actually have some pretty eyes, she had to admit.
Blinking a few times, she ran her fingers through her hair and chuckled. "Whoda thunk, me helping a dude with his snacks could lead to this very not awkward flirting." She joked. "Miracles do happen I guess."

“You should. What’s the point of having a unique technique for someone if they cannot feel special from it?” Oh, he knew it was ironic, the way she brought it up, but clearly he was answer with the same kind of humor even though his tone sounded serious. He never heard that a couple started because they picked up nuts together. There were a lot of jokes to say to that.
It was actually a boost to his already huge ego to be told he had hypnotising eyes, even though he knew those were some pretty unique features of his. “Thank you,” he thanked her with a smile and little nod of the head. “Yours have a beautiful shade of blue to them but I’d say it’s your smile that must hypnotize people.” After all, one got the attention one’s deserved only by feeding little bits of one’s own attention to people. The compliment did not cost him anything. It could, however, reward him.
She then brought up it all started with the two of them picking up the nuts that fell down on the ground. Who would have thought indeed? Not him, especially after the mention of babies. “Isn’t it. Thank you for saving my nuts.” Finally, it would seem they couldn't get out of this one without a joke about it.

"Aww, what a generous person you are." She gave him a lop-sided grin before chuckling, shifting her weight from one foot to another.
When Akeem started complimenting her, she couldn't help the rolling of her eyes but she kept up the charade of the bright eyed, easily manipulated girl. "Oh stop it." She said with a smile before placing a hand over her lips.
She couldn't stop her snort from coming out when Akeem finally made the joke. "Pleasure is all mine." She shrugged, biting her lower lip as she adjusted her bag straps. "Well, this has been an experience. Drop your nuts more often. It could be my call card."

There was something rather funny in being considered a generous person, even when it was said in jest. Akeem wouldn’t say he was cold-hearted or any other adjective you wished to use as the opposite of generous. But he was like most people, he thought of himself first and others when he had the time and energy for that. Some might say it was a terrible mentality but Akeem would argue it was pretty much how everyone in the world acted. If you did not think of yourself, no one would.
The way he complimented her, sure he really was complimenting her and meant it, but there was also something about it that proved there was humour in his words. This flirt was not done with something serious in mind. He was not feeling like chasing after her to keep this little game on. She did succeed in making him sort of forget, or more like ignore, her previous comment on kids and everything. That was commendable.
But all good things must come to an end or else they become good things no longer. He said the joke about the nuts. It was easy, so easy that it was almost a surprise none of them said it before that. And that signed the end of their little encounter. He would return to his bag of nuts and the student lounge and she would go back to whatever it was she was heading to before she came to help him out. He chuckled though at her words. “Or maybe I’ll find some other tricks. It’s not good to always do the same thing, takes away the magic of it,” he replied. He still lifted his hand holding the bag in some form of salute, ready to take his leave.

"Good thinking." She tapped the side of her temple with her fingers before bumping into someone as she walked backwards. "Ah jeez, sorry about that." She bowed lightly before waving at Akeem.
"Enjoy eating your nuts. Yep." She said before turning on her heel and leaving.
