"Magnificent." He mumbled, an eyebrow quirked as he read over the text in the book. Of course, he had read this story plenty of times, it being one of his absolute favorites. Kayne looked up from the book, eyeing his fellow students. Mentally picking off the ones he saw as weak, which were the majority of them. He gave an annoyed sigh as he pushed a hand through his hair. These people shouldn't even be here, they were all so weak...miserably so. The boy sat down 'The Pit and the Pendulum' down on the table in front of him as he crossed his legs. "Worthless."
Kayne reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a small glass marble. What kind of glass manipulated would he be if he didn't have something on him at all times? He rolled it along his knuckles before pinching the bridge of his nose with his free hand. How in the fuck was he supposed to keep living around people so below him? The easiest thing would be to just...end them all, but still. They might not be powerful as one but if multiple students were to attack him he wasn't sure how he would fare. Kayne would have to be careful whenever it came to picking off the weaklings.

A lone student sat in a recluded corner of the library, a massive shelf of books partially hiding him from sight. Just how he liked it. Griffin rather liked the library, not for reading of course, but for the simple fact that it was quiet. He tipped back in his chair and crossed his feet on the table in front of him. His raven black eyes scanning the students he could see. One in particular caught his attention. The kid's back was to him but it wasn't that hard to see the sense of superiority he seemed to have. A cocky smirk played across Griffin's lips as he watched. Watching others always amused him, they were like books to him. Far more interesting than the paper ones around him. Even the slightest movement could give away their thoughts.
He stood from his chair and grabbed his leather jacket, pulling it on as he approached the kid silently from behind. Suddenly speaking up as if trying to startle him. "If you keep making faces like that, someone is going to hit you." He tilted his head to the side and waited for a reaction. A glimmer of amusement clear in his eyes as he glanced at the glass marble in the kids hand. Perhaps a keepsake of some sort. He had always thought keepsakes to be weird and unnecessary. But then again thats the basis of humans, so why not?
Kayne tilted his head to the side as the voice came from behind him. "Sneak up on people who aren't expecting you and you might be getting more than a punch." The boy said as he tossed the marble in the air, flattening out and producing a point on the end. Kayne got up from his seat and turned around, facing the guy. With a small flick of his wrist he sent the glass towards the guys neck, stopping a few inches before it sliced through him. "Now, what business do you have coming over here and disturbing me? Hrm? Were you looking to be gutted like the pig you are? Because I would be most happy to help you with that."

His gaze watched the marble as it was thrown, forming a dart-like shape and shooting at his own neck. He didn't move nor really react at all. Presuming it a scare tactic. He doubted even someone so full of himself as this one wouldn't dare seriously attack in a room full of witnesses. His dark gaze shifted to the floating dark for a few silent moments as the boy spoke, but instead of responding right away, Griffin simply laughed.
"Feisty words for someone that manipulates one of the most fragile materials on earth." He retorted with another cocky smirk. "Though hey, at least you get joy from helping others." His last words practically dripped with sarcasm as he looked the kid over. He looked somewhat normal for this school, good looking, yet something about the kid seemed as sharp as the glass dart. It intrigued him, even if it was only to annoy the kid. He liked to see how far he could push people sometimes. "Are you always this bitchy?"
Kayne watched as the other didn't move a muscle. Interesting. In most cases, the person would have at least flinched. "Even the most fragile things can be dangerous." The boy said waving two of his fingers, the glass retreated from the other and formed back into a marble. "And furthermore, I am not bitchy. I just would rather not to be bothered by insignificant worms like yourself." Kayne took another look at him and gave a small snort. "Though, insignificant may just be a complement when it comes to you."
"Goodbye." The other male was waved off as Kayne sat back down, the marble hovering by his shoulder. He picked his book back up and flipped through a few of the pages. "Why're you still here? Must I slice open your jugular before you get the idea?"

"It's funny how those who think themselves kings are really the weakest." Griffin remarked dryly. Ignoring the kid's dismissal and sitting on the edge of the table, his eyes on the marble with a curious gleam. His smirk returned as the kid threatened him again for not leaving. He wondered what grounds this kid had for thinking so superiorly. Had he never been beat? Or was he just a whiny rich bitch that had always gotten what he wanted? "Oh, your welcome to do it. Though it would be your funeral, not mine. For all you know I could have the power of immortality. Then you would really look like a pathetic welp, wouldn't you?" He smirked and withdrew a large red coin from his pocket, flipping it between his fingers as he spoke.
"And if I were to be an insect, I'd much rather be a Bullet Ant than a worm. You should at least be creative if your gonna attempt to insult someone. Makes you seem less like an idiotic sociophobe." He added, still playing lazily with the coin. It's odd red material dull and dark.
"I'm no king, obviously. If I was well, let's just say id have my guards execute you on sight. Luckily for you that I am not a king, isn't it?" He spoke, staring down the other male, anger audible in his voice. This boy was so inexcusably stupid, how dare he speak to Kayne DeRemiro like that! "Listen here you sack of dog shit, I don't care what your power is. I'd end you right fucking here if I wanted to, do you understand me!?" He yelled out. "Do not dare mock me or I'll slice your damn head from your body, wouldn't matter much what your power is if your head was rolling around on the floor now would it?" Kayne asked, giving the other a toothy grin.
"I do not care what sort of insect you are, just remember that's what you are. An insect, something for me to squash under my foot." The boy pulled out two more marbles from his pocket, grabbing the one in the air and pressed all three together in his hand. He created one nearly the size of a small lime. Kayne used his powers to flatten it out into a blade, grabbing a part that he had rounded out into a makeshift handle. "You must be mentally retarted, that's the only option now. That's why you haven't left yet, well just let me tell you...I have no use for the mentally ill in my world."
