POWER: Rage Governed Gravity Manipulation. / amplified rage

Amplified rage: Robyn’s body produces more and more chemicals that induce anger into his body, this means that he will have a much easier time getting angry and will almost always be able to feel the anger just beneath his skin. While this isn’t always a blood fuelled rampage levels of anger, it does affect his everyday life by making him have an extremely short fuse. It has also changed his brain to become more active after normal people would have blacked out, this means that he can get much angrier than normal people yet retain control of his mind, to some degree. E.G He will always seem more edgy and once made angry will be much harder to calm down.

Gravity Manipulation: The key to this lies in Robyn’s epinephrine glands, which is the chemical that produces anger. This chemical for Robyn is also linked to his brain and allows him to control gravity. This is done by affecting and redirecting gravitons, a theoretical particle responsible for gravity, the way that he can manipulate gravity is brought into a various host of ability’s

- aided movement: Similar to if one was on the moon, Robyn can use his power to Aid him in moving around, this is done in a similar way to a bouncy castle, using bursts of gravity to aid him in movement, in essence he is throwing himself around with his power, making it quite an in accurate and temperamental way to move around.

- Gravity Tunnels: He can direct a line of Gravitons to flow in a different direction, be this up or sideways or in between, this can have a variety of effects determined by how powerful he is, such as increasing the flow to the point of crushing a car, or simply sending all the objects around him in a direction, this is the main use of his power, as it is the most versatile in his mind.

Robyn’s power is also linked to how angry he is at the time, so while he is always able to access the lower levels of his power, such as jumps and gravity tunnels, he is unable to make them very strong. However the angrier he gets the stronger he gets, eventually being able to use all of the power and change gravity immensely.


LIMITATIONS:

Sizing’s: Robyn can Manipulate gravity in a 10 meter radius around himself. This is similar to a normal centre of gravity, in the sense that the closer that to Robyn the more intense that the manipulation will be. This zone is basically 10 meter radius sphere with Robyn in the centre.

Time: He can only use his power for a finite amount of time before it becomes too much for his body to handle. It is as follows:

15 minutes: after 15 minutes straight of using it he will be getting a headache and feeling slightly tired.

30 minutes: this is where he starts to get a nose bleed and is feeling drained, with sore muscles.

45 minutes: being on his last legs this is where his vision is blurring and his body is in agony.

60 minutes: His body shuts down, and he goes into a coma like state while his body recovers for 24 hours.

His body can only handle so much epinephrine in his system regardless of how much time has passed. If he is subject to extreme stress and physical trauma he is susceptible to "Burning out” Which is where his body is flooded with the same chemical that gives him his power, forcing a mental overload. These effects are the same as if he used his power for too long.

His power is only as strong as he is angry, so while he could always stop a man jumping, or negate gravity for himself or another, he would not be able to do much if any damage to a car, while at his angriest he would be able to crush the car and deform it with the downwards gravity. However the more powerful the ability he uses and makes it the more it affects his body, This means that when at his most powerful he burns through his power and time twice as quick, so doing an act such as crushing a car would count as 2-3 minutes on the time scale, making his nose immediately bleed.

SIDE-EFFECTS:

There is both physical and mental problems with the power, physically it is that the glands that produce epinephrine do not stop working, this leads to exhaustion and a certain level of fatigue in everyday life. His body has also become dependent on the mutated version produced by Robyn, so if he was to come in contact with a power suppresser he would have the same symptoms of withdrawal.

The gravity manipulation is also mentally and physically taxing, as he uses his mind to control it normally it can give headaches, migraines and other internal problems such as nose bleeds. And when he is flooded with epinephrine his body suffers as he uses his body to aid the power. Meaning that his bones and muscles go through various gravity strengths. This can be confusing and dangerous to his physical state.

He also has a very fluxing level of control and strength, so he can be unpredictable and yearn for his body to produce more of the chemical he needs. While this isn’t a need it does make him seem frantic and sometimes twitchy.

There is also emotional problems due to his Hormone imbalance while he can feel love for someone its very rare and hard to feel. This is due to the raw amount of epinephrine in his system at all times, making his other hormones be suppressed to a certain level and overwhelmed.

PERSONALITY:
Robyn is easy to anger, this may be because he has relied on the emotion for a significant portion of his life, or it might be because he isn’t what you might call smart, some jokes will fly over his head and strike a nerve, while some things will just flat out piss him off.

He does try to be nice, but grudges are an unhappy thing that he really hates about himself, once someone has pissed him off enough they will be marked in his mind, generally disapproving of allot of things he can be quite hard to get at. But If worked at enough he does have an innate sense to protect and help people that he can’t seem to shake.

He also seems to need to prove himself, not to anyone other than himself, taking most people’s jokes as a serious challenge to overcome, so if someone dared him to eat a cow, well he’s never doing that one again…

Finally due to his power he can’t help but be cruel and unforgiving allot of the time, it tends to happen when all the emotions that normal people suppress for the sake of social norm have no inhibitors, and instead have amplifiers.

Beneath it all he really does care in his own weird way, he won’t protect or help someone out of selfless-ness, but he would hate himself if he stood by and let an innocent person have everything taken from them.

CHILDHOOD:

Robyn had a terrible childhood, coming from a family whose idea of having a kid was a broken condom, and a healthy meal was a few crackers and cheese. So it was tough to say the least, all the way through to Elementary school he was shunned by his parents, relying on his grandma and grandpa to survive, spending 5 days a week being round their house enjoying real food and some actual love.

Then elementary school started and things seemed to go back to horrible, he knew that it was too good to be true and he couldn’t stay with his grandparents forever, and sure enough he started seeing them less and less as his parents threw him around and laid into him about the smallest of things, so what if he couldn’t name all the planets of the solar system? He was 7 years old, and such came the nightly routine of him coming back and failing to impress his good for nothing parents, and as such often went hungry.

Social services where involved all during this time, having annual check-ups, he was sure that they would notice the bruises on him, but his parents where careful and they always seemed to have the house full of food and clean when they came, and the bruises where always in places that they couldn’t be seen. This did a real number on his self esteem as he went up to middle school.

ADOLESCENCE: Robyn’s middle school life was less than pleasant and considered by himself to be the darkest part of his life, the start continued on from elementary school, going home to receive a new bruise from both of his parents, his mother being just as bad as his father in that respect, with both of them developing a drinking problem. Although his mother had gone and gotten herself pregnant with another child so she was off the booze, which just went to show it was her soul showing through and not the booze that made the beatings happen. His father was less than happy about this whole pregnant thing, outwardly his grandparents liked it, but they knew what happened to Robyn and they wished for this second child not to suffer the same fate.

A year passed and Robyn had been bullied at school, had his self-esteem ripped to shreds and was struggling to find a reason to go on, he did find one though in the form of his little baby sister Marie, who he took care of to avoid his parents and protect her from them, so far they didn’t seem that bothered by her and even seemed to love her like they had never loved Robyn. But he wasn’t about to take any chances.

Then one day everything changed for better or worse, he still wasn’t sure which it was. He was 14 and his little sister was 4 so thankfully she wouldn’t have been able to remember what happened, or what he was like before the manifestation, even he has a hard time remembering what he was like. It had been 4 years since Marie was born and he had dedicated himself to becoming able to protect her from anything, he had started lifting weights, building the muscle needed to keep her safe and trying to learn how to fight, the other kids laughed at him when he ran round the block. Until it started working.

Over the course of 4 years he had built himself a body he was proud of and he was pretty sure some of the girls like it too, but then again who likes girls at 14? Anyway he was happy, genuinely happy for once in his life, he had gotten an A in Gym, and was running to his grandparents’ house to show them just what his hard work had achieved, then his heart sank, the front door was hanging off its hinges.

What happened next he doesn’t fully remember but it still happened, so he walked inside to see what was going on to find that his grandparents had been the victim of a robbery, that was still going on. He could clearly hear the voices telling someone to shut up, and he saw the motionless corpse of his grandfather sprawled out, he tried to protect his wife but he failed, and the men had killed both of them. It was at this point that his power manifested, he let out a blood curling scream of anger

He could feel the anger flow through his veins like liquid fire, filling all of his body till there was nothing left, at the same time there was an immediate and shocking lack of gravity in the room, this made some rather shocked intruders scream like little girls. The rest of the show wasn’t as laid back, as he continued to throw them up and down, using them to vent all of the anger that he had kept pent up till now, feeling oddly relived at the gravity kept switching, throwing the contents of the room up and down, hitting the floor and ceiling. Then he passed out.

He awoke in a police station, there was people asking him questions, he didn’t know the answers, they had said that the people were hospitalised, that someone had come in and protected him from the lunatics. he had been told that he had slept for nearly three days, a few more days passed and he was collected by someone who said they understood and where going to take him to a place for people like him, on the journey they asked him if he felt remorse for what he had done, he said yes, It was partly true, he didn’t like what he had done, but he deemed it acceptable at the time. The only true thing he felt was a new found power in him, no need to be scared at all.

ADULTHOOD: After the incident that was his manifestation he got more control over his impulses, no longer flying into a mad rage and destroying things without reason, he might say that his life was better, but then he had to were a mask, he was happy for a while, finishing school in a new special school for people like him. He even had a few girlfriends for a while, although they never worked out, he would care for them in a weird jealous way, but after time he learnt that a side effect of his power was the suppressed positive emotions.

The incident had sparked an idea in his mind that he continued to follow after middle school, he wanted to make a difference, use his power and rage to help people, protect them, before he could do that though he needed to be in complete control of himself, which is no easy feat, even 7 years after that night he still was no closer to being in control than he was at the start.

There was allot of talk between him and his sister about what he should do, she thought he should enlist in the police straight off the bat, but he didn’t think that was such a good idea, after all the stress of the force could force him to lose it and beat a criminal to death, something he wouldn’t mind, but didn’t want to do. So he decided that he would finish school and get a qualification to become a detective, then climb the ranks of the force, but before all of that he needed to get in control of himself, before he lost himself.
