Gabriel was out for his morning run, even though he didn't know the area all that well he had seen a park the last time he was in town. Even more he decided to run down to the park after parking his car a few blocks over, since he needed to get to know the area. He was pretty sure five am was a bit too early to be running but that meant he would run into people. He wasn't the type to want to socialize in a new place until he felt comfortable with it.
He just wasn't used to such a small town, although his home back in Canada was kind of in a secluded place. Maybe it was the fact that everything was new? That was mostly probably it, he felt like the move was forced with that stupid bimbo filling up the house. It was a pretty big house, it just felt so small with her there. If he was being honest, he actually didn't care that she could bring nothing to his family. It was just the simple fact that she was trying to be his mom instead of the woman his father felt like boning for the remainder of his life.
Once he reached the park, he decided not to run and found a spot in the grass to lay down in looking at the sky. It wasn't like he needed to work out, there was a gym downtown somewhere he could go to that. Maybe he was trying to put off returning the calls on his answering machine.

Selina grinned as she made her way to the park early in the morning. She loved being up at this time, simply for the fact that no one else was up and about. The world was silent, and she could do whatever she wanted without anyone to judge her for it. Selina walked at an even pace and took in the scenery around her with a quiet happiness. She’d finished her summer school work and felt fully justified in taking a nice long break.
Selina tended to get lost in her thoughts during walks like this and today wasn’t much different. Her eyes traveled over the ground and she paused as she saw a man lying in the grass. “Your ass is probably going to get really wet.” The morning dew was usually pretty heavy and she was slightly amused at the prospect of him figuring this fact out on his own, but yet also curious as to what he was doing lying down in the grass this early.
Selina didn’t necessarily have the best social skills, but she didn’t’ mind. Besides he was cute, and hitting on him by commenting about his ass was totally an acceptable thing to do, right? She knew that this probably wasn’t the typical way that most women came onto men, and that it was probably the least sexy thing she could say in this situation, but she didn’t mind in the slightest. The smile on her face said as much and she couldn’t help the huff of amusement that escaped her as she studied him in interest.

Gabriel was brought out of thoughts by a girl's voice. He shrugged his shoulders and then tilted his head to the side. He didn't think anybody would be up this early, that meant he probably had to come a bit earlier if he wanted to avoid people. It's not that he was anti-social because his old school was always bustling and talkative. However he was just not in the mindset to actually want to socialize with people. It had nothing to do with him overseeing the construction of more hotels, or the expansion to America. It was more the fact that he was upset with his father and had family issues.
Still that didn't stop him from smiling up at the girl "Yep I know, why don't you join me? Besides it's not that awful considering how hot it's gonna be." He said going into socialize mode. He was brought up to always talk to the people who started a conversation, and the press. If you weren't open and honest they thought you had something to hide. He didn't really have anything to hide, secrets lead to one's downfall. He just didn't do anything worth keeping a secret, no scandals or fights.
"So why pray tell are you up so early?" He asked, Gabriel had thought that everyone would either be getting ready for work or still sleeping. Unless she was a student or a kid of some kind, then again not everyone his age had jobs to get to.

Selina laughed at his simple response and shook her head before sitting down next to him, “That’s true. Pity that summer’s already here,” she replied with a grin. He didn’t seem to mind her presence, and she enjoyed social distractions, especially since they sometimes ended up leading to physical distractions that were even more effective in pushing away heavy thoughts.
Selina shrugged, “I’m out on the prowl looking for random men to chat up and take home,” she teased with a smirk. Selina grinned as she thought about tales of witches seducing men who were never seen again. Her mom had always loved tales about witches and women of power, and Selina shared her appreciation. Selina almost wished she’d forgone summer school and had decided to go to Las Vegas where her mom and Maria were currently living, but she also knew that staying at Bellefonte was actually the cheaper option since her education, room, and board were provided by the school.
Besides, there was a lot going on here that she’d unintentionally found herself suddenly involved in, and staying had just seemed like the logical choice. Selina glanced back at the man she’d had the fortune of interrupting, “And you? What has you up at this hour?” She realized that he’d probably not intended or wanted to be disturbed, and she was tempted to just leave him be, but her own selfishness kept her where she was. Besides, he hadn’t cussed her out yet, so he couldn’t be too annoyed with her.

Gabriel shrugged his shoulders even though he was laying in the grass. It was kind of an awkward feeling motion, considering the grass brushed against his arms. "Eh, either way I have air conditioning so it wouldn't really matter to me. If it was hot, i'd have heat." Although he had to admit that summer was bound to be boring, since the only reason he really moved to Kalispell was because of business. He hadn't actually planned on meeting people and trying to make friends.
"Ah, so am I your first victim? Or is your first victim staring at the ceiling because he knows he won't find someone else like you? Because if i'm your second victim Ill make sure I actually please you unlike your first victim since you're still looking." He snickered, he was of course joking. He wasn't the type of person that would chat up a random girl at the park and take her home. A bar or club maybe, but not a park. It wouldn't do good for his image or his scandal free record.
"Just Thinking and Exercise, I'm Gabriel, Gabriel Lewis" He said offering his hand for her to shake even though he was laying down. He was content to watch the sky slowly brighten into pinks, oranges, and blues. It was a lot more peaceful then back home, even if it wasn't private property.

Selina shrugged and sat back, “Still, it’s nice to be able to be outside without having to worry about sweating through your clothes,” she admitted. Selina hated spending time indoors unless she absolutely had to, or unless it was positively miserable out, so the cool weather was always a boon for her. Besides, her favorite time of the year was when the temperature was so low it literally hurt to breathe. There was something so… almost pure about it.
Selina then grinned at his question, “Do I really look so innocent that I give off the impression of having only had one previous victim?” she asked with a smirk. “And what is it that you gives you the arrogance to think that you could possibly succeed where so many others have failed?” she teased. It would be unfair to quite a few of her previous lovers if she was being literal, but this was mere play and his confidence amused her.
“I’m Selina Taylor,” she responded evenly as she shook his proffered hand. Selina then laid back in the grass next to him, though far enough away to give them both breathing room, and watched the sky with equal interest. Calming mornings like this were what she lived for, and she was content with merely being here.

"True, but my car is parked a few blocks from here. It's one of those ridiculously expensive cars that doesn't blend it." Gabriel said shrugging his shoulders, he wasn't that interested in sweating or whatever. He could avoid if he wanted to and if the girl couldn't that was probably because she wanted to get all sweaty. There was only one reason to get all sweaty and he could definitely see it looking at her.
"Well it is rather early in the day. I just figured you hadn't had your first victim yet." He smirked at her and raised an eyebrow as he propped himself up on his elbow and turned towards her "Well darling, i'm pretty sure i've had way more experience as you don't seem that old and I haven't heard a compliant yet, unless you count the countless cries of too much and being unable to handle it as their eyes roll back in pleasure." He laid back down on the grass as if he hadn't said anything out of the ordinary.
The clouds were starting to become visible and he wished that he was on one of his private beach properties. He could go surfing and not worry about people trying to catch waves with him. The good thing about being rich was that he didn't have to worry about intruders though the girl wasn't an unwelcomed intruder.

Selina grinned down at him and shook her head, “Poor fellow. How you must suffer having so much money to spend,” she teased as she absent mindedly placed a lock of hair behind her ear. God, how she wished she could have access to that type of wealth. Well, she supposed she almost would while working for Drew. Not anything that could likely compete with the man next to her, but certainly more than she’d ever dreamed of.
Selina looked down at him and grinned, “Hmm, I suppose it depends on how you define the day, as last night certainly didn’t end at 12 o’ clock,” she replied with a smirk. Selina laughed out loud at his reasoning before giving him a slow once-over, he was definitely attractive. “I wouldn’t be so sure that age is the determining factor in experience… Besides, talk is cheap, darling. I won’t believe a damn word of it unless I’ve seen proof,” she retorted with a grin.
“You’re probably just overcompensating anyway though, right?” she teased with a challenging grin as she sat back and looked at her nails, as if he weren’t of any interest. “I’ll bet beneath that large talk is something that… doesn’t quite measure up to the hype,” she added with a wicked glint in her gaze.
Selina smiled as she glanced back down at him, “I’m sure it’s a pleasure,” she responded, letting the last word linger with a suggestive grin.

Gabriel shrugged "More, Money more problems. Im sure that's an American expression though. It's not a problem, i just dont know how to blend in." He said admitting at least he too had flaws. Though that's not one that normal people had. Like he was sure that he shouldn't be complaining about shit like that because there was hungry kids in like Africa and india.
"I define morning by there being daylight." He said laughing and shrugging his shoulders again before he full blown laughed and clutched his stomach. Gosh that girl had some guts and he wasn't the only one with an ego. "I'm not the type to just sleep with a girl i've met on the street, i have manners I can at least buy you lunch or something first." He said shaking his head.
"Oh I have enough money to if I was, however that being said, are you sure you aren't all talk? A bunch of small town hicks and horny Highschool kids aren't all that experienced to be honest, how do you know if you're really as good as you think you are." He said smirking right back, of course he would have to find out but he had to be sure she wasn't some reporter of some kind.
"Oh it is" He said suggestively, she was a very rare find in any place.

Selina was appreciative of the fact that he seemed to be somewhat self-aware. “Got it. Well, if you ever want to spend some time as a poor person, just to get a taste of the life, feel free to donate all your money to me,” she offered with a grin. “I promise to spend it wisely.”
Selina grinned at his response, “Alright, if we’re talking daylight, then you’re the second,” she offered with a grin. He was the first person she’d even talked to today, but he didn’t really need to know that. She wasn’t in the habit of stroking a man’s ego unless she really liked him. Selina laughed with him and then looked up at the sky, “Hmm, lunch sounds good,” she responded with a smirk. “And dessert sounds even better,” she teased, her tone indicating that chocolate wasn't what she was talking about.
Selina laughed, “Oh please. I’ve only been in this shit hole for a year. I haven’t been so far brainwashed as to find these incompetent boys entertaining yet. Only a rare few are worth my time to begin with, and if you’re all you say you are, then you’ll be a nice change from the monotony,” she responded easily. “Besides, colleges attract all types, I think some of the people could even surprise you,” she said with a wink.

Gabriel laughed and shook his head "Well if you ever wanna spend some times as a rich person, call me. I always looking for a reason to spend money." He said snickering the girl. He had a feeling that even if he did donate all his money to her, his father would find some way to make it all back. That was the beauty of being the heir to such a big company, not to mention the many hotels and fast food restaurants.
"Well then, I guess the first hasn't satisfied your appetite, allow me to volunteer to be your next victim." He laughed and nodded "You can't wear that though, it's a nice resturant." He said pointing towards what he assumed was her workout clothes. Hopefully they were and not the clothes she actually wore on a normal basis because that would be really sad. Like charity sad..
"Sure, Sure that's what you say now." He said rolling his eyes and waving his hand dismissively although he meant it in jest and not to sound condescending and rude. "Oh? Do you mean yourself because I am very surprised but don't let that fuel your ego Ms.Taylor." He said chuckling.

Selina grinned broadly, “Give me your number and I’ll give you a multitude of ways to spend all that extra cash you must just be dying to get rid of,” she replied with a grin. Damn, she did not mind using him for money either. Some people were worried about pride, but she didn’t give a shit. He also wasn’t the type of innocent that she would feel guilty taking advantage of.
Selina smirked and studied him as if she hadn’t decided yet, “Hmm, I suppose you’ll just have to do,” she replied with a teasing smile. Selina glanced down at her clothes and then back up at him, “How nice are we talking?” she asked warily. The only nice clothes she had were second hand, but they were good enough for most formal events. Selina also had good taste, so it wasn’t like anybody else on her financial level could tell, but those clothes also probably wouldn’t hold water with any of the crowds he hung out with.
Selina laughed at his comment. Her ego very much appreciative of him. “Ego? What ego? I swear, you must have me mistaken for someone else. I’m as humble and demure as they come,” she added with a smirk.

"Well give me your phone and ill put my number in it." Gabriel said smiling, he was in now way using this girl to get back at his father. If his father could sleep with some girl and pay for her he could do the same thing. Although he wasn't exactly doing that because it wasn't exclusive, it was just something to piss his father off. He didn't feel bad about it either, he'd talk to her about it through email. "Also i need your email address."
Yep, this was going to work out perfectly, he just needed her to go along with the plan until he found someone that he actually liked. Its not as if they were serious or gonna date, it was just a friendship and since he was pretty sure the plan didn't have to involve sex it shouldn't matter.
"Do you have a nice a dress, it doesn't have to be designer..but it has to be decent enough? " He said sitting up and looking over at her. He didn't want to be snobbish, but if he was going out in public...than she needed to look the part. Especially since he heard about this DL blog bullshit.
"Oh yeah, and I live a modest lifestyle and my apartment only cost six hundred a month" He said rolling his eyes, no his apartment cost much much more.
Post by Selina Taylor on Jun 19, 2015 19:09:21 GMT -6
Selina tossed him his phone and wrote her email down on a scrap piece of paper before handing it to him. “Yeah sure,” she replied. Was he serious about this? Shit, he really was. Selina had mostly been kidding, and she hadn’t actually thought he’d meant much of it. Sure, the sex she’d taken seriously, but she’d just thought of it as being a one night stand… or one afternoon stand? Whichever. Well, if money was involved, she certainly wouldn’t be objecting.
Selina had a dress, and it was nice enough she supposed. “Doesn’t have to floor length does it?” she asked, as it was a short black dress but simple and nice enough. Damn, she really needed to buy some new clothes. But then, she hadn’t exactly been expecting to do out on a date with a millionaire, or whatever it was this guy happened to be.
Selina laughed and almost felt physical pain when she did. Their apartment in the city had cost less than that, and they’d struggled to barely make rent for most of her life. So much had been sacrificed, and yet so much had remained out of reach. The choice between paying medical bills or paying for food was one they’d had to make multiple times and Selina wasn’t sure she could ever really laugh about this type of thing with the ease that he could. “By the way, I hope you’re paying for lunch because otherwise, you’re out of a date,” she teased, easily covering up any discomfort with practiced skill.

"okay then" Gabriel said pocketing the email address after he texted himself from her phone. He also wrote her email address down, under the contact as well. Saving it he put the phone back into his pockets. He didn't really tell her why they were exchanging numbers he just let her think it was because of the joke. He would have to look into her before he decided if she was the right person for the job, although it seemed that she was.
"No it doesn't have to be floor length. As long as it's okay to wear to a formal event it will work." He said trying to ease her worries, after all it wasn't that fancy of a restaurant. He wasn't even sure that they had super fancy restaurants in town, although he did go to one his first day there that was pretty expensive and the food was good too.
"Of course, i'd never make or let a lady pay for a date. Not because she's a female just because I have more than enough money...and I was raised with old school manners. Mostly from my grandmother." He said laughing more than happy to change the subject about his wealth since he could see that it might be a sore subject.
