At least she didn't seem as mad at him as before. He was able to chuckle at her blunt comment, leaning down to plant a quick peck on he forehead while she was turned. Opportunity was a killer.
Ticked him off was putting it lightly, but he didn't spare to argue the terms of her definition. His hands clenched, unbidden, and he looked away with a scowl. "You didn't hear. The things he were saying....they were," he broke off, automatically replaying the conversation and beforehand talk. His face darkened into a murderous scowl, he'd changed his mind. "He needs to die."
Taking a shuddering breathe Everett shook his head and smiled ruefully. "Not even for you dove," he murmured, saddened by the fact. "Not even in my nightmares would I apologize to that sorry creature."

It was probably for the better, if she didn't know, and she wasn't about to ask either. ''Actions speak louder than words,'' she reminded him, cocking her head to the side as she scanned his face. ''People say a lot of things. That doesn't mean they deserve to die.'' Though, lecturing him was probably not the way to go, so instead, she curled her arms around his waist, as if to secure him there, so he wouldn't run off, resting her cheek against his chest.
Peeking up, she nodded, ''It's okay,'' she said. She understood, since she'd probably feel the same way. Then again, apologizing to someone who had hurt her pride in any way was hard enough for her to do without Everett in the picture. Though, she'd probably be less tactful and less secretive about it.
''Have you calmed down yet?'' she murmured, the amusement hard to hide from her voice, ''Or do I need to handcuff our hands together to prevent you from going all Hulk on the poor guy - you know, orange really isn't your color,''

Everett clicked his tongue, unconvinced, but didn't fight her. Instead he just rolled his eyes, embarrassed by the fact that she was so much mature, despite being three years younger. It really put him in his place sometimes. In a good way. Still he crossed his arms stubbornly. "He did."
He released his breathe, dropping his hand to circle around her waist gently. Nuzzling her hair gently, Everett closed his eyes. "Did I upset you? I can apologize for that." Even though she'd recently scolded him for such a thing. In this case, could he call refusing to apologize a healing process? Really she should be praising him. He smiled at the thought.
"Calmed down? No. But I'm not planning a chainsaw murder just yet" he assured in an amused rumble. Everett smirked wickedly, giving her waist a quick squeeze. "I wouldn't mind being handcuffed to you anyway, dove."

''I'm hardly the person you should be apologizing too,'' But she dropped the thought with a sigh. If he was anywhere near to being as stubborn as she was, she knew there was no chance of that ever happening, and that was energy she didn't even bother to waste, ''You're too stubborn for your own good,'' she said, shaking her head. She was well aware over how much of a hypocrite that made her. She was not any better, and wouldn't have been if the roles were changed. At all.
''Yet.'' she laughed and shook her head, luring her arm around his neck before shaking her head. Leaning up to brush her lips over his, she remained standing on the tip of her toes, ''Sure you wouldn't - until you have to sit through hours of listening to a group of girls talk about boys, make-up and shoes,'' she said, grinning. Even Erika hated that, she could barely imagine how horrible it must be for him, or any guy.
Pulling away, Erika leaned against the railing with her back against the cool metal and her foot leaned on top of the lower metal bar, ''So I guess this means I shouldn't vote for making the uniforms even shorter? That'll disappoint a lot of our fans - and some of the girls.'' she teased with a mischievous smirk. The uniforms were already short and revealing as it was, and it wasn't like she had planned on voting for them being shorter anyways, but hey, it was good teasing material.
