POWER: Power Suppression
Upon making direct eye contact with Carissa, she can in a way can try to "hack" into someone's mind, in an effort to temporarily suppress the strength, or abilities pertaining to the power of the opponent. In order to be successful in being able to complete the power suppression, Carissa must be able to outnumber the sheer strength or willpower of someone battling against her to be able to have the full benefits and power level in the usage of their power without suppression, as her targets are aware of her mental interference with their powers, as all can directly feel their powers slowly fading in strength, in which most would assume their powers were being drained, and try to "lock" Carissa out from being able to manipulate this power level.
LIMITATIONS:
- She must make direct eye contact with the person who's power she plans to suppress for a long enough amount of time to be able to start the process of the "battle of the wits".
- This effect is temporary, and usually the time frame of this temporary loss of strength in powers only spans for a couple hours. (Less concentration and accuracy/more resistance leads to shorter spans of suppression.)
- Requires much concentration from Carissa's side in able to break some mental barriers of people to be able to attempt to suppress powers.
- More advanced, or complex powers with more side abilities or aspects that give the user more strength to use powers are harder to suppress then those that are not. (I.E: Easier to hack a Facebook account then to hack a Government Network; just applied to powers.)
- Carissa can only suppress one person's power at a time, and after suppressing a power, a cool-down happens in power before being able to suppress another power. The more mental strain and difficulty to suppress a power, the longer the cool-down.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
- Difficulty concentrating on activities after excessively using powers and occasional due to mental straining from using power.
- If a suppression on a power fails on someone, this could potentially lead to Carissa's own power being temporarily negated, allowing her to not be able to oppress other people's powers for a while.
- Over-exhaustion and extreme mental straining can lead to head trauma, and severe injury.
- On a rare occasion of using powers on certain people, if the negation is successful, Carissa sometimes may feel a variety of the side effects that the person who's power was oppressed usually feels.
- Cool-Down can span anywhere from an hour, to a full day before being able to suppress further powers, and attempting during this cool-down session could either lead to a migraine and almost definite severe injury, or just the backfiring of her own power on herself.

MISC: Carissa likes to keep her hair dyed as often as possible (in contrast to her identical twin sister who usually prefers to keep her hair the trademark natural blonde color); as she personally does not like the blonde color. She usually wears the most comfortable, yet fashionable clothes possible, such as skinny jeans and a loose, baggy shirt-- although you will occasionally find Carissa wearing a bit more girly or floral-themed clothing, with the occasional dress here and there.
She likes to keep her hair fairly long, and she has standard ear piercings. Although she can be a bit narcissistic, she feels as though she has bigger problems then maintaining with the new, trendy fashion (even though she usually does this unintentionally), and usually she wears a tad bit more modest clothing throughout her schools years. When summertime and party time hits however, a lot of people can find her eye for fashion a bit... skimpy to say the least. She has a tattoo on the end of her right forearm.
Often, she will wear a necklace she got on her 16th birthday with a Jade encrusted in the middle, referring to her matching middle name.
PERSONALITY: Carissa grew up in a pretty large family, with about 3 brothers, and 2 sisters (both creating a trio of triplets, although only one of them is identical, as the other one is fraternal), so she has always been used to having to share with her siblings, despite her family being fairly wealthy. Carissa has a much darker look on the world then her brothers and sisters, which most assume is why she has such a "negative" power compared to other mutants, and this has always lead to her identical sister being the more popular twin of the bunch.
Carissa has never really been shy, and she is always one to speak her mind, which often leads to people believing she is quite the hot-head or mean person due to her uncouth tone and sometimes speech from being spoiled as a child for so long, when deep down her thoughts are actually pretty peaceful and down to earth-- but when you enrage her, it will be a while before you hear the end of it.
She does her best to be happy, but is so used to being "forgotten" in her childhood compared to her other siblings, she has tended all of her life to keep her voice down and always be the one to sit back on family events and activities. Due to this, in her modern life, whenever there is the chance to party, or really have any kind of activity that involves human interaction, Carissa is likely to jump, or tag along whatever the activity may be. In a way, she's kind of like a firework that's been contained all of her life, finally ready to just burst free.
Carissa tries to be as talkative as possible, but sometimes she refuses to speak or initiate conversations with people, unless they initiate the conversation. Due to the "shrewdness" of her personality, this often leads to a pretty rocky relationship with boys.. and the occasional girl. She can be a pretty good friend, but most people wouldn't get in line for THIS twin if they want the type to settle down and have a long-lasting relationship.
SECRET(S): She's all talk. No seriously, she has a shell of arrogance, bravery, and even sometimes hot-hotheadedness and even seems pretty uncouth-- like a crazy party girl; but deep down she is just like every other generic person trying to get through life, and all Carissa wants deep down is a true, best friend to relate to, and even go out and party, sing, and even get drunk with sometimes. She just wants someone who will watch the world burn with her. In reality, she is a better person then her Identical Twin, who everyone believes is the nice and sweet girl, compared to Carissa.

CHILDHOOD: Ever since Carissa was a little girl, she could remember always being spoiled, along with her other sisters and brothers just as children; because her family was fairly wealthy, as her mother was a renowned Surgeon. Living in a pretty large home, she could always remember her every need being catered to-- except the attention of her parents. As her parents tried to provide for the family with all of the money they could from their prestigious careers to make their lives even better then they already were. With the little time her parents did spend around the family, for some reason Carissa was the one who got the least attention out of the whole bunch, which lead her to believe that her parents probably didn't like her as much-- probably leading to this outer shell of being a "mean" person to form.
Around her 8th Birthday, when her brother Joel's powers began to manifest, the McVay family decided to pack up their life from Malibu, Florida and leave behind their small mansion, to move to a large Ranch House in Kalispell, as her Mother and Father realized that most of the children would probably manifest powers, and end up having to move to Kalispell, Montana to attend Bellefonte Academy. Her parents wanted to stay as close to their children as they could for as long as they could, so Carissa sadly left behind the few friends she had made in Malibu; and her vote to stay behind in Florida was outweighed by the popular vote and authority of the rest of her family. As this move occurred, Carissa began to feel like no one in her family really cared about her opinions, which just lead to her opinion of her family to be worsened, as she grew into Adolescence.
ADOLESCENCE: After the Manifestation of her older brother Joel's powers, her and her parents both knew it was just time to play the "waiting game", assuming she would eventually manifest some sort of powers, as both of her parents were Mutants. 5 Years after her brother, Joel had manifested and learned to control his Powers, and had finally began attending his first year of college, her brother returned home for a holiday, and this is when Carissa's powers began to manifest; about half a year after her 13th Birthday.
Carissa was annoyed with her brother receiving attention from her parents, and especially even more now that her younger siblings, and twins were intently watching Joel show off his powers to everyone, when Carissa could just feel her anger growing. Slightly wandering as to why his little sister was so annoyed with him, Joel stopped showing off his powers to the family one night to go and comfort Carissa in her room one night, to see if he could clear up some tension. Upon placing his hand on her shoulder and looking into Carissa's eyes, she couldn't help but feel disgusted with her brother and patronized for her emotions-- something in her mind told her to divert all of this pent up anger into a death stare at her brother who still remained touching her shoulder, and she could feel a quick shock run down all of her body as her brother began freaking out. Joel quickly took his hand off of his sister, and began to try to practice his ability, only to be freaked completely out as he was completely paralyzed when it came to using his powers.
Carissa couldn't help but feel bad and stay with her brother the entire night, in fear of injuring her brother permanently; but were both luckily relieved when the power came back a couple hours later. Joel realized this power was pretty similar to a girl from his grade level's power, and identified to his parents that Carissa was the first of the twins, and the second in the whole family to manifest powers. As the Holiday ended, Robin and Joel (Father Version) spoke to the Local Bellefonte representatives, and the actual school itself, and scheduled her to start attending the school with Joel the following week, in order to begin her training.
Deep down, Carissa was actually excited for a change of scenery, and a chance to be away from her family for an extended amount of time-- where people really didn't have a reason to not talk to her. Carissa attended happily for her four years of High School, and she can say that she spent her years to the fullest, and there would definitely be some teachers who would.. Remember her. Upon her attending, with the help of some friends, Carissa found an interest in Singing, and Dancing her Freshman Year, and really became a more social and vocal girl then at home, but for some reason she could never really shed an official layer of.. eeriness and anger when it came to her tone in conversations.
ADULTHOOD: After her Graduation, Carissa knew she would probably want to do something with her life involving Bellefonte-- but she didn't know what she wanted to do yet. Her summer of graduation, she decided that she would get a Tattoo on her forearm, and even began to further take classes and practice for her Singing and Dancing talents, even considering a Career in one of these temporarily-- but decided she would just keep that as a hobby.
Once the next School Year started up, Carissa began attending College at Bellefonte with her sister Melissa, and finally realized she either wanted to be some sort of Security Guard, or possibly a Recruiter. Carissa continues to attend College to this day, still trying to figure out what to do with her life and let go of her past impacting her so harshly for some odd reason, but she's trying to have fun along the way.
