Rachel grinned as she entered the bar, placing her fake I.D. inside her jeans pocket. Piece of cake. Now to find someone dumb enough to buy her a drink. She'd been trying to get in here for ages and now finally she'd managed to snatch an I.D. with someone similar looking to her. She hummed under her breath along the random guitar music that filled the place, making her way through the crowd of people. There was some act starting or something, and they were all surrounding someone. Fun. Also perfect, since it allowed her somewhat a clear pass to the bar.
"Hey, honey." She called with a wide smile at the bar tender. "Can I have a shot of Tequila?" Nothing like tequila to start a fun night. She nodded and waited for her drink to be poured, turning curiously towards the crowd, wondering what the ruckus was. "Thanks!" And in went the shot. She winced, shaking her head and placed the glass back on the counter along with a bill and a wink. Time to mingle. But first-
Rachel made her way through the crowd, smiling about randomly and sending flirtatious winks at anyone who seemed attractive enough, but those could wait. First things first. She made use of her tiny height to make her way between two people and stood on her tip toes to look over someone's shoulder. Ah, no wonder. Her face broke into a grin. Only he could attract such a crowd.
"So take my hand And jump over this mess This is a fairy tale And you're the damsel in distress" the words came out in a soft tone as Rob worked the frets of his guitar, pulling a more bluesy tone out of it then he might normally. Strictly speaking, his kind of music didn't line up with what a lot of the clientele of Matt's would like to listen to. They were more rough bar music sorts, digging into old classics and wild country tunes. Still, there was something in blues that could generally speak to people who were coming to drown their sorrows.
"It's like looking into a mirror That's too easy to explain When I see you I G-g-g-get a stutter" and the last few lines just happened to line up at just the time a certain distracting girl arrived. Rob favored her with a smile, letting his fingers continue playing as he kept going: "In every breath that I would take It's like love is a four letter word That takes me from here to you"
though a few of the wiser customers were noticing that Rob seemed to have very particular eyes for someone, causing heads to swivel back and forth, at least one of which was raising a brow, and at least one female of which was narrowing her eyes.

Ah, nice song. Nice voice. Nice man. Rachel bit on her lower lip as she stared at him playing. It was really unfair to other men how charming he could be. Not only was he handsome and had a way with words, but he could also sing so beautifully. Ah, he was looking at her now. She smiled right back, still staring as he sang and seemingly forgetting what she'd been doing here. She licked her lower lip and shook her head as he sang about love. Oh honey. He knew so well how to get a girl's attention and Rachel found it amusing that she seemed to have fallen for it for a second there. Good thing the glares and turning heads made her realise where she was and she managed to blink the daze away, still smiling widely and roll her eyes his way. Nah, she wasn't impressed.
Rachel laughed loudly, shaking her head again and turned on her feet to sneak into the crowd and make her way back to the bar, not wanting to be the object of drama. If some girls wanted to scratch and pull hair because of Rob, then by all means they could do so without Rachel's help. Hell, she'd throw jello their way and pick favourites, maybe even bet on some.
"Hey! Hey-" She was pushed away from the bar and she frowned, hating that now it seemed she couldn't get the bartender's attention. Bummer too, because she'd been trying to ignore the music reaching her ears. "Hey! Oh, come on, I was here first!" She so was! Silly people. Who cared for songs anyway when there was alcohol to be had?
The song, the connection, yes, it definitely all worked, and yes, Rob had definitely meant at least portions of it to. Not that he'd expected Rachel, the particular princess who deserved a particular song about such things, to be the girl to walk in at the time. Generally speaking he left such details like that to Fate. the rolled eyes just had Rob smiling and focusing back on his singing, looking around.
She knew who he'd directed it to, and she'd liked it. Rob also liked that she hadn't hammed it up, though he'd half-expected her to. Was she playing hard to get? It didn't seem like she was the type to shy away from attention, or that would have been Rob's first guess. Clearly she just didn't want him to think he was working as well as he was.
That ship had sailed.
Unfortunately, Rob was finding himself somewhat distracted as well. His fingers slid slightly, not in any way he figured most of his audience would recognize, but enough for a musician like himself to catch attention. He kept going, playing out the song, hoping that nobody noticed. some were likely to notice how his eyes kept flicking despite himself.
Since when do you let a girl, even one that looks like her, distract you so much, Robbo, m'boy? Get your head together and play
