Honestly? The past few days had gone by with a blur. All she knew was that at some point Everett had decided to play Sleeping Beauty and then Erika had woken up in bed, with Ellen by her side, saying she had been in a training accident? She had no idea. She couldn't really remember anything about it, which was probably for the best.
She didn't really want to know.
She knew that she had apparently overused her abilities to the point where she had gotten a major nosebleed or whatever and passed out. And then Ellen had nursed her to health. Which on it's own was creepy enough. Right. She didn't want to know.
Erika had her head leaned against the back of her hand, tapping her foot absentmindedly against the floor as her eyes grew heavier by the second. She was still exhausted, and her skin still somewhat pale, but at least she was well enough to be allowed to leave the lair.
With a sigh, her eyes flickered over Everett's still passed out body. Gawd, what a turd.

Everett was slow to wake up. His head was clouded and thumping, it felt more like a jackhammer inside his skull. His eyes were plastered shut and he wouldn't open them even if he wanted to.
When he first moved his entire body was heavy and stiff, as if he'd been asleep far longer than a few hours. That couldn't be right. His tired brain attempted to make sense of it, but he gave up halfway. The most important thing at the moment was his dry mouse and aching head, everything else took a backseat. The movement was minimal, barely a shift, but he felt himself reluctantly waking up.
Everett twitched his fingers with a groan, head rolling to the side. He didn't open his works, didn't even care enough to try. Wait. Was he even awake at this point? He wasn't sure.

The noises had her sitting up - but it didn't seem like he was about to wake up. Maybe he was. Maybe she was too tired to put two and two together. She didn't know. She could hope though. Hope he'd wake up so she could kick his ass for being so stupid to fall asleep for days. Who did that?
Maybe she would have been able to put two and two together and link it to Ellen, but really, at this point it didn't really seem all that important. Sure, the thought had crossed her mind, and the way she herself had woken up with Ellen next to her, nursing her was enough to make her believe anything about the scheming girl.
Erika remained in her seat and merely watched him as he twitched and turned, her lips pressed into a hardened line as she let out a sigh. ''If you don't wake up, I'll have someone electrocute you,'' she warned him with a solemn expression.

Fluttering his eyes open, Everett flinched at the bright lights. Were they trying to blind him? His vision took its time to focus, wavering in and out before he could actually identify shapes. It was Erika, he's recognize even her silhouette, which at this time was all he could make out. The details were slow coming.
It felt like there was water in his ears, but he still managed to pick up on Erika's threat. Of course the first thing she deemed to say to him was that, how cruel. Still, it was what he expected, the same Erika. His mouth curved into the weakest of smiles, shifting his arm to reach towards her plaintively.
"How kind of you," he whispered hoarsely, throat dry from the lack of liquid.

She remained in position as he reached for her, only letting out a faint sigh of relief. Okay, so at least his little game of playing a Disney princess only lasted for a few days, which was good, or else she'd probably have ended up getting his ass electrocuted. He deserved it though. One some plane or level, she was one hundred percent sure he deserved it. Proof? Pffft.
Pushing herself out of the chair, she walked over to the bed and sat down at the edge of it, pulling hand into her own, intertwining their fingers. She reached for her bag and pulled out her water bottle. Handing it over, she pursed her lips and sighed, ''You're a moron. Actually, you're a dumbass.'' she said, before her lips cracked up into a faint smile, ''Welcome back to the land of the living, Sleeping Beauty.''
Leaning down, Erika rested her head on his stomach. She then closed her eyes and let herself finally relax.

She seemed mad at him; he wondered why. He'd undoubtedly done something to annoy her again. It certainly sounded like it. He was deathly and unabashedly afraid that she would leave and not look back. So it was that he almost burst into tears when she finally came over to his bed. Instead he just coughed and accepted the water gratefully.
Wait, bed? Where in the hell was he? And on that note, what was Erika even talking about. Tilting his head from side to side, Everett's eyes narrowed in confusion; but of course he could see very little lying down.
Struggling up he tightened his grip on Erika's hand with a frown. "But what....what happened? Where am I, Erika?" he asked urgently. "I don't -..." he reached his free hand up and pressed it against his throbbing head. There was a gap in his memory and no matter how much he tried to think on it, the last thing he remembered was being incredibly tired, in the kitchen. "I was working." he mumbled slowly at last.
Switching his gaze to Erika his brow furrowed, pulling her closer. Maybe it was the light but she seemed much paler than he remembered. "Erika? You haven't been taking care of yourself have you?"

Leave him? As if. That was the last thing she could ever possibly do. No, he had nothing to worry about there, and she wasn't really annoyed, just worried. And tired. Maybe it was unfair of her to act as such, but she couldn't really help it. But leave? She would never do that. In fact, she didn't even think she could have even if she wanted to. Which she didn't.
''You're at the medical clinic in Kalispell,'' she began and bit her lower lip, ''You've been asleep for four days.'' She wasn't surprised at the fact that he seemed so confused. After all, four days were a long time to be sleeping and one would only expect him to feel groggy and not quite remember all the details, though, something at the back of her mind told her there was more to it, but that was a thought she quickly pushed away. It didn't matter. All that mattered was that he was okay. ''Yeah,'' she said, her voice trailing off.
Letting herself being pulled closer, she dug her face against his neck and rested her free hand against his chest, stroking it with the tip of her fingers slowly. ''I'm okay,'' she said with a forced smile. She didn't really want to worry him. Especially not when he had just woken up and still had a lot to catch up on. Everything else could wait. And something like a training accident didn't really strike her as the most important thing right now.

"The medical....clinic?" he murmured. Four days? She had said four days, hadn't she? That couldn't be right, he remembered being tired, but not that tired. But if it had been that long then....Jeez he was an ass. No wonder Erika looked so annoyed. Everett placed a small apology kiss on her forehead, hugging her closer.
Shifting over Ever made more room for her on the bed, rolling onto his side so he could gently place Erika beside him, still refusing to let her go. "I don't think you are," he informed her haughtily, as if he had any idea after a four day slumber. Finally he sighed and rested his forehead against her head. "I'm sorry, I've caused you trouble again." He doubted she wouldn't be half as stressed looking if it hadn't been for him.
"You know you can cry if you want, or sleep. I don't mind."

Nodding, Erika held her breath for a few seconds before letting it back out. As if that was supposed to make her feel any better. It didn't. Not really. ''Yeah,'' she said silently as if there was any need for her to confirm it again. Besides, that was about all the information she could give him. The four days had been... Hazy. At most.
As he shifted, Erika wrapped her arm around his waist and rested her other hand against his cheek, running the back of her finger against his warm skin. What was she supposed to say? Well, anything was probably better than having him think it was all because of him, right? ''It's not that - well, not only because of that,'' she began with a sigh, pulling her hand from his cheek to rub her eyes, ''I don't really know. I was supposedly in an accident during a training session?'' Saying it like that made her feel incredible stupid. Especially since she had no idea what had actually happened. ''Well, according to Ellen anyways,'' she muttered. She had been far too exhausted to question it when the blonde had told her what happened, and she was far too tired to really question it now.
Frowning again, Erika looked up at him and shook her head, ''I'm not going to be one of those pathetic girls who cry whenever something bad happens,'' she said stubbornly and looked away. Though, the thought of just letting it all out didn't seem too bad. But then again, maybe that was just the tiredness and worry talking.
