They had talked about this; she and Lydia, so there was a plan but that was not making it any easier for Erin. She was going to Prom, with another girl. She never actually planned on going to prom; it was not a place she wanted to be. So many people, in a large area but still a lot of people. Girls all over the place looking tempting and just again a lot of people. Just thinking about it was almost enough to make her want to call the whole thing off. Yet, she was the one who brought up that they could go for a picture so Lydia's mom would be happy.
"This is what I get for trying to be nice." Erin muttered to herself as she headed to Lydia's room, where she told the girl she would pick her up at. It took a little while for her to actually find something to wear, since she didn't actually talk to Lydia about matching, but friends didn't do that, right? Right, she was pretty sure people who went as friends didn't worry about matching so she got dressed and headed out.
It took a little longer to get to Lydia's room since she was wearing sandals and it was something that she rarely did. Especially because sneakers were just so much easier to walk and she only ever wore this kind of thing for special events with her father. Sure she could bust out a suit but she felt like her body worked best with dresses when it came to this sort of events. When she got to Lydia's door she took a deep breath, as if that would allow her to hold all of the boldness she had before she came over here, and knocked on the door. "Lydia...uh..Erin..here." Erin stuttered out. Just great, lost most of what she had already.
