Lydia looked down at her phone, twiddling with her fingers a little, awkwardly procrastinating until she pressed send on the message, immediately faceplanting her pillow.

Erin was just hanging out in her room when her phone buzzed and had the guy from Black Butler saying 'Master, you have a text message'. How Erin loved her text alerts that had someone from her favorite show or something that she just liked a lot talking to her. She paused the game she was in the middle of, and looked at the text. She could not help but to blush a little at it being from Lydia, but this was over the phone, so she had no problems being bold.
I'm cools. How about you?
Oh, and I'm not doing anything really. Just chillaxing and playing some video games.

Lydia managed a smile. She was nervous, but at the same time just getting texts from Erin always perked her up a tiny bit, the fact that the other girl had time for her made her feel nice.
I'm okay! Just been messing around online on MK X, destroying newbletts, you know how it goes :3
Lydia hastily hit send and then paused a few moments before sending a follow up text. Staring at the message for a few moments before hitting send again.
Soooo what have you been up to lately? Feels like we haven't got to hang out enough.
Post by Erin Hackett on May 13, 2015 16:29:36 GMT -6
Erin could not help but to chuckle a little when Lydai texted that she was destroying newbs. Ah, newbs, the bane of every gamer that actually knew what they were doing. Now, Erin didn't have a problem with them because they were new or anything like that. She just didn't like the new ones that thought they were all that or did not listen when you were giving them advice. Then she also hated elitist players because they didn't know how to listen or teach those who were new to the games. It was just all very toxic.
Poor newbs, never stood a chance.
The next text had Erin looking at it for a moment, confused. Lydia had already asked her what she had been up to and that answer didn't really change. Well, that was a lie. She asked if Erin was doing anything fun, and now this question was like over the course of time had see been up to anything. Still, Erin dind't fully know how to answer it.
Umm...well I went to the movies with Tim. Been just hanging out and gamming around with peoples.
Post by Lydia Faust on May 13, 2015 16:48:12 GMT -6
That sounds super fun! I met Tim recently, he does seem like a pretty cool guy. Well, as cool as guys get at least. XD
After sending the message Lydia sat staring at her cupboard where a certain item of clothing that was taunting her was residing, she looked back to her phone and nervously began to type away, double checking every single word of spelling, and then checking them again. She really wasn't very good at this.
Post by Erin Hackett on May 13, 2015 16:54:21 GMT -6
Yeah, met some new people. Trying that whole social thing. Good that you met Tim, he is cool for a guy, yeah.
Erin sent back. She wondered for a moment if Lydia was into time. It would suck to have to break it to her that Tim was already taken. Erin always felt bad for someone who had a crush on someone who did not feel the same way back because they were taken or for whatever reason. Still, she was not going to say anything about it until she was sure. Instead she took the time to clean up a little around her room. It was easy to pick up clothing and trash while still being able to text.
A favor? I guess, can't promise I will be able to do it until I hear it but I will try my best.
There, nothing that was full proof saying yes. Erin didn't want to say yes and then not be able to do something. then again, there was very little that she would not do when it came to doing things for people. Especially if it involved video games or computer, because she was up for a challenge of hacking, getting into something, or well in general doing something that she should not be doing.

Lydia spent a few moments pondering if this was a bad idea, or what her next message should be, or how exactly she should word what she was going to ask. What if Erin just flat out said no to the favour? What would she do, how should she feel? She began nervously tapping away at her jeans. When the next text game through she fumbled with her phone, then hastily read it.
She took in a deep breath and began to type away the rant/request/hope.
Sooooo as it turns out, my mother brought me a dress and everything for prom to make me go, without asking me. Which is like, super mega ultra uber annoying. But, I still kinda have to go. But I don't really know that many people going and I'm super awkward around people I don't know and I don't do that many girly things and I don't really do 'normal' stuff like reading or sports THAT often, because I'm always gaming or whatever and I'm not really good with people and stuff so like
Lydia was speed typing so fast, she didn't even notice the amount of times she used the word 'and' or the fact that she had gone over the character limit and split it into two seperate messages.
I was wondering. Could you go with me? I need someone who I actually have stuff I can talk to with and be around, and you're super nice and friendly and good at games, it would mean SO much to me.
Lydia paused for a moment after finishing typing, remembering to breath, before typing out at third, more compact message.

Erin looked at her phone while she waited for a text to come in. Perhaps she should have said that she would do anything the girl wanted her to. That would not have been true, because it all depended on what it was that was being asked of her. Erin liked to think that she was a nice person, but she had a end game plan behind it all. For the most part. The text did end up coming in, a couple of text that was like a wall of words.
Erin was happy she had a relatively large phone so she didn't have to scroll up too much to read the words. As she read, she could not help but to turn almost as red as her hair as she could feel her heart racing in her chest. Was...was a girl asking her to go to prom with her? Sure it was not coming off as a date or anything, but it was still asking her to a prom. Erin felt like she had asthma a moment and then like she was having an anxiety attack. She probably was having a bit of the latter as she took a deep breath to settle herself down.
Her mind was racing on why Lydia would even bother to ask her with how Erin was just as awkward around people. Still, it was really sweet and Erin was already feeling awful and didn't want to just type no. After taking a moment to collect herself, she texted back.
Uh...I'm honestly flattered that you would want to hang out at prom with me. I bet you are going to look amazing in that dress.
I...however I don't really do prom. By that I mean I never been, never planned to go. Too many people in one location, too many females; such as yourself, looking very attractive, and...I don't think I could handle it.
Man did she feel awful. She just could not see herself at prom. Didn't matter who it was with. She basically would of have to gone with someone that was literally going to grab her by the arms and drag her there. That was pretty much the only way she would end up going because she already knew that if she went, she would be using her power the whole time until she passed out as a result. It would have made prom awful for whoever she went with, and she wanted Lydia to have a great prom.

Lydia felt kind of awful and panicky for the duration of time that it took for Erin's response to come through, because she was sure on some level that the other girl probably already had somebody else to go with, and that Lydia had probably left it far too late. Why were crushes so stressful...?
When the next message actually came through, Lydia's breath stopped for a few seconds, a sharp pang of emotion hit her. She didn't want to go with Lydia. But she was... complimenting her? This was kind of awkward. And frustrating. Lydia began typing random words and deleting them before stopping again. Had Lydia been reading mixed signals? She was so confused.
Then the second message came through, she blinked slowly. Of course. Erin wasn't massively social. Lydia blushed and facepalmed. "IDIOT!" She chided herself.
She took a few deep breaths and thought about the situation, before realising what she really wanted. She should maybe explain that to Erin. Yes. She should.
Soooo... Um. I'm not really good with the whole thing either. As I said, my mother wants me to do SOMETHING on prom night, because apparently it was her first date with my dad or something corny. XD It's so stupid.
She waited a minute or two before sending another response. "You can do this Dia. Just type."
Look. The thing is Erin, I do want to do something on prom. It's a big night, everyone will be busy doing stuff, I have this stupid dress my mom wants me to wear. But... truthfully. If Prom and all the people there are a problem. That's okay... I want to spend my prom with you. Even if it's just in a class room with projector and games console set up, or outside, or even playing an MMO or something online. What do you say? Will you spend the evening of saturday the 9th being friends with me? ^-^
And uhhh... sorry for the text wall xP I'm not usually this annoying... >.> Honest <.<

Erin was freaking out now that the text had been sent and there was no way to bring it back from the place text went. Sure there was a way to get rid of it and make sure no one could see it, if Lydia didn't have access to her phone at the moment. However; the two of them were texting back and forth so it was pretty much near impossible for her to get rid of the message that she already sent it out. she just didn't want to hurt the other girls feelings or anything like that, but it was just the truth.
Prom was not for her, parties neither, because of all the people that were there and it was just not a place that was good for someone like her. She started to feel better when the text came in but at the same time she was not sure if Lydia was getting what she meant. The text was a repeat of what she said earlier, so Erin just looked at it and waited. She figured there would be more because there was not much she felt like she could say other then 'I hope you find someone who can go with you'.
The next text came in a long one and as Erin was reading it another came in but she focused on reading and rereading while she thought of what to say and how a new plan could work out.
Of course I don't mind spending that night hanging out with you if that is what you want. You can even still wear your dress and I'll uh...find something to wear. Like...
"Okay, how in the hell am I losing my confidence over text? Get it together Erin. you got this. You are Leet!" Erin said as she gave herself a pep talk. Right, she had a power that would be very useful in this situation and she was sure she could quickly obtaining a dress or something to wear.
So what I'm thinking is we dress up, treat it like we are going to prom. I use my power to hide us, sneak in, reappear to get our photo taken or just seen for a moment so your mom us happy that we went. Then vanish again and head back to your room or my room and we can just change and game the whole night. Eat junk food, soda, whatever.
It's okay, you are not annoying. I hope that idea works. It's the best I can do because I really can't be with that many people just yet.

Lydia felt kind of tense, but at the same time she kind of felt a little elated that she had finally admitted something outloud, even if indirectly. If there was one person it mattered she saw on prom night, the biggest night for her whole year. It was Erin.
When the following message came through Lydia's stomach floated with butterflies. She spent what felt like ages, just staring at the text that had popped up on her phone's low glowing screen. That was, until another buzz shook her out of her minor daze and she read the next message, a goofy grin spreading across her face.
I... Uh. I'm not very good at words right now. Thank you Erin. That sounds amazing. So! When or where or whatever should we meet? ^-^
What the message didn't happen to show was the blush colouring in Lydia's cheeks, she was very. Very happy.

Erin had no clue of the effect she was having on the girl, she just knew that Lydia was having the effect that every girl had on her. She turned red, thought about kissing them, and what they would look like in various scandalous positions. Of course she was not ever going to say any of that but the thoughts were there, often. What? She liked her some ladies and since she was till a virgin and all, that need had not been met by another girl. One day, one day.
It's alright and sw33t that you like the plan. I'll come get you from your room that way we can head over and I can use my power to make us go unseen and unheard while we sneak in. Okay?
Erin sent back. She hoped that plan worked because it was the best she had. Sure she was going to have to hold the girl's hand to make sure that the girl would vanish with her. There was also the fact she was going to have a headache afterwards since that came along with using her power. She already had a feeling she end up with a nose bleed considering how long she might end up having to use her power, but it was worth it. Right?
