"Prom season is upon us, dear listeners. So it's time for all of you out there to take the forward approach, don't you think?" Came the warm, upbeat voice of Bellefonte Academy radio. "The worst they can say is no, right? I'll be rooting for all of you." Felix smiled softly, his fingers skipping over the keys on the main monitor's dashboard, his gaze focused on the music program which was ready and waiting. "Now, I think it's about time I took my own advice. I'm about to do something a bit cheesy, so apologies in advance... But I hope you all enjoy this regardless. Now if you don't mind, there's somewhere I need to be. Stay smiling, Bellefonte."
With that, Felix Nicholas signed off his morning broadcast, activating the loaded playlist as he did so.
Playlist No. 8.
It was a piece of his own editing, an entwining symphony of the favourite songs and music preferred by Elsa Bellefonte; Now he just had to hope that she had tuned in to his morning broadcast. He settled back in his chair a moment, folding his arms across his chest as he watched the lines and colours on the main monitor mirror the beats and tempo of the piece that was streaming across the airwaves. Despite all that had happened between them in the past few months, Felix was feeling a touch nervous of what he was about to do. He smiled to himself, closing his eyes and running a hand through his hair; Elsa. He was fairly certain she would be taking up residence in the Academy's library, with finals leering down upon the school.
Leaning over to unplug his headphones from the monitor, Felix pushed them down to sit around his neck before he pushed himself up off his chair, heading out of the booth. The playlist would continue to stream as he made his way towards the library, his heart in his throat; Elsa had been reluctant to formally title what their relationship was, and with prom being such a public event... Well, the most she could say was no, right?
