To say that Ellen had a hard time, the rest of the day after the little incident with Erika was a understatement, even through she had to go through several classes after the fact Ellen couldn’t honestly remember anything about those classes to Ellen they just flew by in some kind of blur, due to Elle being in some kind of trance, unable to focus on anything but reply the events of what just happened over and over and over again. Play, repeat, rewind. Play, repeat, Rewind. As if trying to piece together what exactly just happened. Because Erika’s fist landing squarely on her eye, was far and away, the most shocking thing that has ever happened to her.
Every time she tried to focus on her studies her mind kept drifting back to Erika’s cold and uncaring eyes mocking her as Ellen stumbled back and forward hiding her pain go ahead, Ellen. Run to daddy with your problems and prove to the world once and for all just how cowardly you truly are, and show them how incapable you are of dealing with problems on your own without having your father fix your every mistake. Do you think anyone will miss you when you're gone? Do you think people care? The only person who cares is your father, and that's only because he has to. Every time she thought back to those words, her blood boiled just a little bit in her veins just knowing that Erika felt strong enough to dare speak at her with such contempt.
Ellen felt humiliated….degraded, and she simply wouldn’t stand for it. No one spits in her face, no one treats her like some kind of horrible bug like a slug. NO ONE. The day Ellen lets Erika get the last word against her is the day hell freezes over. As far as Ellen was concerned, those two had just started a war, one which Ellen had no intention of losing.
Her thoughts were scattered and for the first time in what seemed like forever she wasn’t thinking clearly nor rationally. If Ellen was thinking clearly Ellen would never take the course of action that she was taking now. But Eryn at one point given Ellen her home address and Ellen knew that if anyone could make sure Erika was punished for this, it was him. Because if Eryn or the staff refused to do anything about it. Then Ellen will.
With this in mind still sporting a heavy purple bruise Ellen knocked on the teacher’s door and crossed her arms waiting.
