It was after school, something she looked forward to every single day. No, it wasn't because she got to get away from the general population, which was far from the case; it was because she had a tub of ice cream and the last season of Sherlock to finish. That, and she'd get kitty snuggles. That is, if Meow didn't blatantly ignore her again today. He was really having some issues.
She slipped into the student parking lot, but as she searched the rows of cars, she couldn't seem to locate the black Nissan Altima that she owned. Jesus, the place was not large, where the hell did she park it?
The more she searched, the more anxious she became; this stirred up her power in the worst way. Her head stayed down, hoping to avoid eye contact with anybody. This didn't last long, and soon enough, while searching, her eyes caught another's, and the boy fell to the ground in a heap.
"Oh my god," She groaned, running over. "Are you okay?" Obviously they were, but that didn't stop her from asking. Hopefully her power only lasted for a minute this time, because if not, this would not be a good day.
Jeremy didn't own a car, motorcycle, truck, or hell even a bike, but that didn't stop him from coming out to the parking lot after school. See, living at the school really didn't require him to have a means of transportation, and if he really needed to get somewhere all he had to do was ask one of his friends. So why exactly was he out here then? Well it started with a car. A nice four door sedan that is. Someone had drove it to the school a few months ago, parked it in the back corner slot, and just left it there. Why? Well no one is sure, but now that it had been just abandoned for so long, it was time to salvage parts; an airbag to be more specific.
It didn't take long to get in. With a touch of his hand and a little discharge from his duracell like body, the car's electrical system jumped itself out and the doors unlocked. The blonde haired boy slipped in, taking the screwdrivers out of the back pockets of his jeans and went to work. All in all the job took just ten minutes to complete, and before he knew it he was standing up and locking the doors back. His hands, still jittering lightly thanks to his chronic tremors (the reason why it took ten minutes instead of five to complete the job), made sure that all the buttons of his flannel shirt were done up before slipping the black, bicycle seat sized airbag into the shirt. "That will do nicely." He spoke to himself, making sure the bulge in the shirt didn't stick out too far.
After everything seemed to be in place, his lips pressed lightly together and the boy began to whistle as he walked away from the scene. So many ideas bounced around in his head on how he was going to incorperate this new piece into one of his adventures. Maybe he could stick it under Erika's bed and remotely set it off? A light snicker caught up in his throat, cutting the whistling off for a brief moment. Yeah. That would be good.
Grey eyes peered around the lot, watching as different students, some older some younger, went about to their cars, but there was one particular girl who stood out. Something about her, the way she was walking, head held down low, just screamed stress and anxiety. He glanced her up and down once in more of a reading character kind of way than anything before he found himself locking eyes with her and that's when he dropped to the pavement. It was like some sort of tidal wave of numbness just overtook his body, and for a split second he thought maybe his own power backfired and he fried himself. Great. There goes any plans using the airbag. Oh god....the airbag.
Jeremy struggled to move, eyes finally gaining some movement back as he peered down able to see he landed on his back rather than straight to the front. That was at least some relief, but he still couldn't move the rest of his body. A moment later, the girl whom he noticed was standing over her, asking if he was alright and looking more stressed than ever. "Yeaermmmm" He tried to get out, the tongue in his mouth feeling like it weighed like a sack of bricks. It slowly regained feeling though, along with his lips, allowing him to stretch his mouth a bit before trying to speak again. "Yeah I think so." He finally got out. "What the hell was that?"

It started to wear off, much to the Blonde's relief. However, she was in for a bit more than an expected apology, which wouldn't necessarily come, that much she could guarantee. She didn't mean to catch his eye, but he was recovering quickly, so what was the point?
"My inability to control my power," Aeria said with a sheepish smile. "We made eye contact, and well, I was really nervous. Not a good combination." The girl had the urge to poke him to see if he could feel his legs or something, but she decided against it. That would be, for the most part, annoying. Or at least, it'd piss off Aeria if that were her.
"Lucky for you, you can actually feel your mouth now, at least. That means it should wear off sometime soon and you can yell at me all you want?"
As the girl answered, Jeremy started to regain feeling slowly in the top half of his body. Propping himself up on his hands, he chuckled lightly at her response. "I bet that works great on a first date." He teased, still chuckling lightly as he sat up, the bulge in his shirt shifting to the side to make his belly look lopsided. He knew how it was. Sometimes, especially when the weather was acting up, he lost control of his own ability, causing one rather nasty hair day for him and those unfortunate souls around him.
Grey eyes peered at the girl a bit more, taking in her features and trying to place a name with the face. It was a rare occasion for him not to know someone, or well rather at least their name, but for whatever reason he didn't have her's in that junk brain of his. Judging by her looks, she seemed to be a bit older than him. Maybe she was just visiting her former school again? As the thought passed, his legs kicked back in and allowed him to begin to stand.
"You want me to yell at you?" He blinked, a bit thrown off by her acceptance if he wanted to. "Alright then.." He sighed before opening his mouth and letting out a loud "AHHHHHHH!" into the parking lot. He couldn't help but develop a cheeky grin as another sharp chuckle escaped his throat. "Really, don't sweat it." He assured her, dusting himself off as the bulge slipped once more, now letting some of the black faux leather stick out from below the flannel. Quickly, his hands worked to hide the airbag. "I uh, didn't catch your name." He tossed out, trying to distract from the situation. "Then again I don't think I've seen you around much."

"Oh absolutely. I knock them off their feet," Aeria shot back with a more comfortable smile then. So he wasn't upset, good. She probably would have been annoyed if suddenly her body went limp due to someone else's lack of control over their ability. Really, at eighteen, Aeria should have been out of there. But she wasn't. One more year, they said. One more year.
Trapped in her own mind, she didn't even realize the change in location of 'his' stomach. But she was quickly brought back to reality when the boy yelled at her, literally, yelled at her, before he just brushed it off. Aeria couldn't contain the laughter that stemmed from the depths of her stomach in that moment. The blonde just burst into a fit of laughter, not even able to answer his question. Maybe it was the relief from her nervousness that caused such an outburst, but it didn't matter. It felt nice.
"Aeria." She said finally, picking herself up. "Aeria Gonzalez. Senior."
"More like fall backwards." Jeremy spoke, referring to his situation before giving a rather light chuckle. "So I assume we can call this the first one? Pick you up at 7 for the next date?" He grinned teasingly. "Sadly all I am good for is a small shock, but hey. At least we could say sparks flew?" Alright so he was slightly flirting, but he didn't mean anything to come of it. That was just his nature. A few quick quips here and there, maybe a little flirting and well that's how he became friends with someone. Still, it was rare that he didn't know her name, and his mind wouldn't let off that subject.
The girl couldn't contain her laughter. In fact she got a little hysterical. "Woah hey now. You're having too much fun there." He joked, shaking his head slightly before running a hand through his short, choppy blonde locks. Overall though, the girl seemed to relax a bit, which was good. When it came to serious situations, the boy could be very awkward; always saying something inappropriate or jokingly when really he needed to stay focused.
"Ah. Aeria Gonzalez." He smacked his lips a couple of times. "Aeeeerrrrria." He repeated once more. "It rolls off the tongue. Nice." He chuckled before extending a hand. "Jeremy Hargrove. Junior, entrepreneur, actor, other fancy stuff that's boring to talk about."

"That, and we can say I knocked you off your feet for the first time in a while?" Aeria teased lightly, her hysterical laughing dying down slowly. Usually the first sign of her nervousness was the over exaggerated laughing, like most. But she found that the more he spoke, the more comfortable she was becoming.
"Don't kill yourself trying to pronounce it," Aeria said, taking his hand and giving it a firm squeeze. Who did handshakes anymore? Well, apparently he did, and she wasn't about to ignore it. "Aeria Gonzalez. Senior. Actress. Obviously not in control of her power."
It was frustrating, and the fact was she probably was going to be staying another year in Hammel to try and learn to control it. If she couldn't control it by the end of the year, well, she would come back and request another trainer, because obviously her current one was not working out.
"And yes, I am partially Hispanic, before you freak out that my last name is Gonzalez."
