“It’s cool. We are just friends. Yes, she is pretty then I am and had some pretty good tec skills, but I’m better. Right, I’m better and we have been doing this for a while now. No big deal.” Erin said to herself, repeating all the words over and over as she walked back and forth in her room. She had to do this every time she ended up inviting Madison over to play some video games with her. She had known the girl for a little while now so she was not as bad at talking to her, but Madison was still a girl. A girl who was very attractive. A girl who Erin was attracted to; because she was pretty much attracted to every girl, and just it was Madison.
Still, she had managed to score being friends with the girl and that alone was enough for her for the time being. Now her circle of friends had grown a bit more and she could at least report to her dad that she was less of a shut in. She had already sent Madison the text, telling her that she was all ready to go to play some LoL with her. Sure they could play it in their own rooms but it was not the only game Erin had invited the girl over to play. “I wonder if she will like the figurine…” Erin muttered to herself as she looked at the gift wrapped box.
The knock at the door broke her thoughts as she quickly scrambled to make sure that everything was all go. Clean room, clean bathroom, plugs for days, snacks, and well the gift. The gift was more so because Erin figured that gifts were the key to getting people to like you. It sort of worked in the past when it came to making friends, even if she knew that friends by money were not real friends. Oh, well. “Come in, it’s open.” Erin said, full of confidence, because she was in her room and far away from the front door Madison had to come in through.
