Lydia rolled over somewhat on the bench she was laying on. People had been encouraged to sit outside, and there was Wifi and everything for them to use internet, so she was going for a happy medium. The blonde was wearing, kind of a bikini but not a bikini, and was kind of sort of hiding under and umbrella, lying on a bench with her laptop and a towel. The thing was, she liked to swim. But... electricity.
And she liked to socialise... but electricity. So she was just sitting with her laptop out, keeping an eye out for people she knew, though she might not be the easiest to recognise considering she was showing more skin than she usually did, and she was wearing sunglasses, with her her up in a pony tail.
A small part of her was hoping that she saw certain friends. The blonde could at times, be a little awkward around people she found attractive. And one of those people happened to also share that... quirk. So she was kind of hoping that she would bump into them on the trip, maybe get to spend a little bit more time with them.

Erin was wearing a one piece as she headed out to get some of that thing called sun. She had been staying in her room too much and just playing on her computer she had brought for the trip. She had tried swimming but after having almost drowned she was slightly avoiding the water. Still, Erin knew that she had to at least get out and get some fresh seat air. It was just so bright and so...outdoors like that it was just odd. "At least an hour and then i can go back to my room." Erin muttered to herself as she walked towards the pool.
While she was not planning on getting in the water, she could at least lay down on one of the pool chairs and just taking in some sun. She of course brought her Nintendo 3Ds and a few games so she was not just lying in the sun bored out of her mind. She also brought along some sun tan lotion because she didn't want to end up with a million freckles. If she was not careful, she got them easily and in part figured it was because of the genes that came with being a red head. She spotted a familiar figured, that already started to make her blush.
She hasted for a moment before she braved up to move closer to the girl to make sure that it was Lydia and talk to her. "H-hey Lydia." Erin managed to get out. She took a deep breath, trying to make sure that she was not blushing too much and also not looking over the girl's body in the most obvious manner. "How have you been?" Erin then asked, seeing as it had been a while since she had seen the other girl.

If it was at all possible to see the blonde's eyes through her sunglasses, her slow and unintentional blink would have been pretty obvious. Even if Erin wasn't wearing particularly revealing clothing, just the sight of her surrounded by the sunshine, and greeting Lydia was enough to make her take a double take in her brain before attempting to reply. She was pretty damn pleased that Erin had decided to come outside today.
The blonde's own awkwardness almost melted at the way that Erin spoke to her. It made her feel warm. Or... warmer. The brunette's own lips widened into a smile. "Hey there, Erin!" She replied, enthusiastically. The girl might not have thought of herself as being particularly good looking, but she certainly thought that Erin was gorgeous.
She smiled more at the girl, practically beaming. "I'm good! It's warm out here. I feel... Energetic. And yourself? It's been too long." She grinned and tilted her head at the girl.

Lydia smiled at her, which didn't help with getting rid of the blush that was trying to take over Erin's face. It just made her happy that Lydia seemed pleased to see her after it had been a while. Erin had been worried that Lydia didn't want to deal with her again, and she fully understood. She knew she was an odd one of sort and that she had a difficult time talking to girls especially out of people in general. She was working on it, that was why she had braved up to talk to the other girl when normally she would have creeped from a distance.
Hearing her name just leave the other girl's lips made her feel all warm inside, but it could just have been that it was a little warm outside. Erin did move to grab a seat on the lounge chair next to Lydia. Perhaps she should have gone one seat over and was now hesitating, it being clear as she sort of stood up and sat back down again. "Good that you are good. Really good." Erin said, nodding several times after Lydia pointed out that she was doing pretty well. Erin could not relate to feel all energized or anything, her heart was beating fast but she figured that was because she was around a pretty girl and not the weather.
"I'm alright. Figured I should get some sun." Erin said, she played with the case she carried her handheld and games in for a moment. She cleared her throat, knowing she needed to say a bit more to start the conversation going and keep it going. "Uh...is-is cool if I sit here. Just hang out and uh...chat maybe?" Erin asked as she looked around.

Lydia smiled more at Erin, she wasn't kidding when she said that she felt energised either. When Lydia was out in the sunshine, especially on a day like today, it was like she was devouring energy drinks. She guessed it must have been power related, but she really wasn't an expert on powers in general, let alone her own power which at times still felt like a complete enigma even to herself.
She also found herself glad that Erin had decided to come out today, and that the shy girl had managed to come over and talk to Lydia. It made things far less awkward. Which was saying something. She grinned. "Well thank you! I'm glad you decided to come out into the sunshine. You look amazing in the sunshine." her brain froze for a second, as if an error message had just popped up.
"I mean... not to say that you usually don't, look great that is. Because you do. But I mean. You know what I mean. I'll stop talking now." She blabbered a little bit before blushing gently and stopping herself.
The girl nodded quickly when Erin asked if she could sit. Lydia opened her lips to reply. "Yeah! Please! I was gonna ask if you wanted to sit down and chat. You're always nice to chat to, you're fun." She smiled.

Erin smiled at Lydia, feeling a little wired in the pit of her stomach, but she knew it was just nerves. She started to turn as red as her hair when Lydia pointed out that she looked amazing in sunshine. Followed by words on how Erin looked amazing out of the sun and then Lydia just stopping herself. It was something that Erin did herself, a lot. With Lydia doing it, it actually made her want to try a little bit bolder and try and help Lydia relax.
They were never going to get anywhere if the two of them were going to be stuttering and freaking out with one another the whole time. Well they would, but it would be a slow process and Erin knew she was not going to get better unless she actively tried to. “You look pretty amazing yourself. I wondered if you would even risk going near water with your power…but it’s good to see you uh…here.” Erin said as she gave the other girl a small smile. There, she had complimented the girl, what she was doing, and was making conversation.
“Th-thanks, uh I have wanted to talk to you again to. So uh, how have you been? Enjoying the trip so far? Looking forwards to being in Mexico? T-to many questions?” Erin asked, she managed to get the first question out normal but then she started to ask more questions and at a slightly faster rate. She took a deep breath as she settled down on the seat next to Lydia’s. Okay, well she was still making conversation; even if it was a lot of questions at once. Progress.

The electric blonde smiled awkwardly as the other girl seemed to blush in response to her awkward rambling. At least her general message had gotten across to Erin, even if her execution of giving across that message had been extremely awkward and imprecise. Lydia almost giggled. But she didn't want to cause even more awkwardness than she already had, considering that was far from her intention.
Lydia felt her own cheeks flush in scarlet again. She nodded to Erin's comment slowly. She wasn't the best at taking compliments, questions though, she could do. "I used to be quite athletic. Swimming all the time and stuff... It's just yeah, with the electricity I don't wanna risk it most of the time, easier to hurt people in a pool, you know?" She murmured.
She actually giggled at the other girl's rapid fire burst of questions and responded in a similar fashion. "Good, Yes, Don't know yet and no. Never." She grinned.

"Oh, really?" Erin asked, not rally having guessed that at all. Erin herself was not athletic at all, only good at running for a short distance and she tended to do that to get away from someone or something. Other than that she lived the life of a lazy gamer and just a person that didn't really do much physical active unless they were feeling slightly guilty. Like if she ate a large bag of chips and a whole gallon of soda, and then she would likely do some jumping jacks and sit-ups.
She had a high metabolism so she was not all that worried about her weight, but she did try to take care of herself at least a little bit. "What if you got like a rubber suit?" Erin asked. She then really started to blush because rubber made her think latex and Lydia wearing and all latex and black outfit was just. Erin really wished that she didn't have such a dirty mind. It was her current enemy as she could not even hide the fact that she was completely red.
It was also getting particularly warm and while she could not swim very well, the pool was looking like a good idea. Erin was surprised that Lydia had managed to catch everything that she said and even answered it all. The last bit only sucked because that pretty much took away all of the topics that Erin thought up that they could talk about. "Okay..." Erin said as she looked down. Great, she was super red, feeling a bit too warm, and now she had nothing more to say.

Lydia nodded. It hadn't been so true as of late, but she really did used to be quite athletic. She also hadn't thought about it in quite a while, though now that she thought about it with her powers and how she seemed to react to being outside, she'd probably be better at things like swimming and track running than she used to be before her mutation became active.
Lydia let off a chuckle and blushed lightly. "Yeah, I don't know about that one." She was feeling a little bit awkward talking about all of her power stuff, she'd rather be talking with Erin about other stuff.
"Soooo umm. What have you been up to?" Lydia cursed at herself in her head for being so bad at this. "Anything fun at all?" She smiled awkwardly. She really had to get over this awkward lump that was in her throat. Lydia looked downwards slowly.
"Sorry, I wish I was better at this." She chuckled nervously again.

The nod confirmed that Lydia was telling the truth, well at least that she was confirming that she did exercise but if it was the truth or not was up in the air. Erin was going with that Lydia was being honest since she didn't see why the girl would have to lie to her about it. It was not like Erin particularly cared for sports or anything like that and the only level of being impressed was more so from the other girl being physically active. Erin was only physically active when she needed to be or felt like she should be.
Erin relaxed slightly when Lydia responded back to her about the whole wearing a rubber outfit; pleased the other girl had not taken it the way Erin's mind was currently taking it. She could see that Lydia didn't really seem relaxed in the moment but she didn't think that it was over her power, yet she did recall Lydia speaking about not really being a fan of her power. Erin didn't really know what else to talk to the girl about. She had asked all the conversation bits that she had thought of and Lydia already answered all of them. Now she had nothing so that meant that silence was going to be the only route until she could think up something else to say.
"Nothing much, just gaming in my room." Erin responded. Nothing really new or different in that department. "Well I defeated a high level monster in Monster Hunter 4 all by myself." Erin said, smiling proudly. It was a monster that you needed at least two other people to help you out with but Erin had managed to get it all on her own. It took pretty much everything she had but at least she could 'brag' about taking something down all on her own. Erin had already made herself comfortable on the pool chair, even moving to lay back, but on her side so she could face Lydia. "N-no, it's okay. I'm not good at this either so it just uh...make it hard for the both of us." Erin stumbled at quickly after Lydia's apology.
With how the both of them were, it was likely they were never going to get anywhere with how they were apologizing and well-being themselves. At least that was what Erin felt and she tended to get a similar feeling around Tim. Clearly she had some more work cut out for her to get better at this whole socializing thing.

Initially, when Lydia interacted with a pretty girl, she often thought to herself that she wished she was back in her room, with her headphones and a laptop, where everything was easier. Typing and music just came to her much more naturally than being sociable these days, especially with girls she found to be particularly beautiful.
She smiled at Erin and forced herself to look at the other girl at eye level, as opposed to the ground. "I should really get onto that game at some point. But handheld stuff have never been my strong point, keyboards and stuff stop me going ADHD crazy quite so much because there is more room for my hands to wander." She admitted out loud. Rather unlike the girl to admit she had a deficiency where gaming or programming was regarded, but she felt somewhat comfortable doing so around Erin as opposed to bigging herself up.
She smiled at the other girl intently. "Well then." She gulped. "In that case I look forwards to getting better at all of this along side you." She grinned. She had meant as friends. Maybe. Maybe not. It was all a little bit confusing in her brain, she found herself thankful she hadn't tried to vocalise her thoughts.

"It's pretty fun. Especially when you team up with people to take on the really big monster." Erin said, already thinking about how cool it would be to play the game with Lydia. Maybe the girl would make some really hot girl and she would be really good at the game and just destroy all the monsters with ease. That only problem with that would be Erin getting competitive with her in order to do better, and also getting distracted by a hot character. That was why Erin made male character, that way she didn't have to always look at the nice body of a female.
Well, that was a lie. She made both and really she didn't have a reason other than she liked the way a certain gear looked on the males as oppose to female or vice versa. Then it also just depended on the video game she was playing and the level of customization one could put into it. She was a bit confused on how ADHD was a problem with a handheld compared to being on a computer. On a computer she found she would end up pulling up other tabs and doing other things, but with a handheld it was the only thing in front of her and maybe her eyes would wonder around the room a bit, but that was it. Each person was different when it came to their gaming styles and that was what made it awesome...sometimes.
"..." Erin's mouth opened to say something, but her mind had gone to the gutter for a moment at the whole 'hands wondering comment' and she felt it best to just stay silent for a moment until she got out of the gutter. So that’s what she did. Erin blushed a bit more at Lydia's words, one hand ideally playing with the end of her own shirt while the other worked on trying to get her 3Ds out. "I wo-would like that...be great. Uh...so you are just chillaxing then? No um...plans?" Erin asked, trying to still keep a conversation going and also think if there was anything they could do together.

The blonde nodded in response to her friend's comment. "I like the look of it alot, actually. The crafting and the whole thing of making yourself gnarly armour from the bodies of monsters sounds awesome. I've always leaned on more the PC gaming side of things, so not as much with experiance with stuff like monster hunter." She paused for a moment, contemplating her next words. "But maybe you could show me the ropes." She added with a smile.
Lydia had always followed the rule of RPG's when she played them, especially on her own. She'd rather stare at a girl's rear than a dudes. Although there were exceptions to this rule, such as when the female character in question ended up wearing almost nothing, or basically just looking like a sex object. That did usually irk her a little bit.
Lydia grinned at the other girl. "No, I've not done a huge amount of things. I've sun bathed a little.... though I still look kinda pale." She admitted. The blonde pondered what else she had been doing. "I've played a little bit of card games and stuff on my laptop, but not much. Why do you ask, would you like to hang out or something?" She added the question with a soft smile, trying to phrase 'hang out' as more like a friendish thing, as a opposed to a 'ireallyreallylikeyou' thing.

"It's awesome, but I can understand liking PC games better. I like to dabble in pretty much all forms of gaming." Erin pointed out and then started to blush once more at Lydia's next comment. She could show her the ropes?! Hell yeah she would like to show her several ropes, but yes the Monster Hunter ones where what she knew best and were the safest ropes to tug on. No tugging on blonde locks, not yet...never...maybe. "I could do that, show you all the skillz." Erin said as she tried to keep some of her bravado and play it off as a cool kid.
It would be fun to teach someone how to play and that also meant they would have to get pretty close since it was a handheld game and it was easier to show someone something then it was to tell them. Erin just nodded her head slowly to show that she was listening as Lydia talked about how she had not done a whole lot. Granted Erin was only half listening because her mind was still stuck on pulling Lydia's hair and wondering how the other girl would react to that. She is still pale, but you can see that the sun is trying...bet her skin is so smooth. Electrifyingly smooth...never again Erin. Erin thought to herself as her eyes started to drift down over the other girl.
Thankfully she was able to quickly pull her eyes back up to look at Lydia as she heard that there was a question in there. She really had to work on paying full attention and not checking out when someone was talking to her. It was not good to had selective hearing and a mind that just wanted to hang out in the gutter while she started at pretty girls. "I uh asked cause umm...well I thought it be totally awesome if we could like hang out. Uh...I didn't think you would say yes or anything so I don't really have anything in mind besides uh...want to get a treat?" Erin said, fumbling over her words as she fumbled around with her 3DS in her hands.

Lydia smiled at Erin's comments on the types of games and the consoles which you played them on. She wasn't one of those obnoxious gamers who tended to horde whichever console they owned over all of the others, she really didn't like it when people did that. She found it to be completely, and utterly pointless. Whatever a person enjoyed the most was what was the best for them. Not for everyone. And even then, Lydia generally played good games, regardless of what console they were on. It's just that she spent so much time at a keyboard that PC gaming was just convenient.
She nodded "I do play other stuff, it's just computer gaming itself is generally easier for me, so I do it more." She didn't mention that 'other stuff' coming to mind at right this second was Sonic the Hedgehog. That was really not a good way to impress a girl. Talk about a small blue animal she adored to bits, even for all the games faults.
She was lost in thought for a moment, the second question quickly jarred her out of her temporary daze. "I was going to ask you if we could do something fun to hang out. I guess you're just faster than me~" She smiled. Hang out was just an easier phrase than 'Not a date, date' which is what Lydia wanted to ask Erin about. "What do you mean by a treat? And yeah, if my ramble wasn't clear, I would love to hang out." She smiled.
