Tamara was not used to motion sickness. The only times she ever got sick in a car had more to do with the heat and what she ate than the actual motion. She also felt a little something while flying but it was nothing you could call a sickness. Travelling through water however proved to be different.
She knew she couldn't technically feel the waves but she was certain that she did. Seeing the water all around her did nothing to help. Luckily for her, the crew was sort of used to this little complication and offered her something to help with motion sickness. Though, of course, that thing didn't work fast enough for her not to wish she was at school right now instead. Why did she agree to come along and watch over the students? There were more than enough staff members, they didn’t need her. Even if they needed her, she wasn’t in any state to help.
Tamara refused to go on deck or even to look through the windows. Watching the waves sway and hit the cruise ship as it advanced only made her want to throw up. Instead, Tamara was sitting in a corner of one of the many rooms offering entertainment to the people on board. She had a blanket wrapped around herself. The medicine they gave her made her feel drowsy so she was dozing off while she was trying to watch over those in the room with her. At least most of them were outside, taking in the sun and enjoying themselves. She sighed heavily. Her brain refused to understand she was fine and still. It almost made her want to make them buy her a plane ticket home. They wouldn’t, of course. Then they better give her vacations to recover from her vacations.
