Elsa stared at the baggie in her hand, wondering just what she was going to do with that much marijuana.
It wasn't as if she'd gone out and purchased it or smuggled it on board the ship. Oh no, that had been someone else. Elsa had just happened to have overheard them talking about the "sweet load" and how "very baked" they were going to get. A reflex had kicked in, and she'd confiscated the drugs before she'd even thought about it. In truth, Elsa wasn't even sure that it was illegal on this particular ship, since they were in international waters. That hadn't stopped the frightened stoners form essentially shoving the baggie at Elsa and running very fast in the opposite direction.
So now Elsa was stuck holding a bag of weed. She shifted her grip on it again, watching the leafy greens shift. She was in one of the main dining rooms, so it wasn't like someone couldn't come in and see it. She'd also have to make it outside to toss it overboard.
Or... "oh yes," Elsa drawled as she pinched the bag between her fingers, "because everyone knows that Elsa Bellefonte just loves to light up a big fat one when she's on Spring Break."

Gabriel had been hoping to find better luck settling his nerves inside the ships interior, rather than out on deck. Despite his fear of water, or more so drowning, he had definitely relaxed since the very beginning of the cruise. Strolling around in an un-buttoned shirt and shorts, he'd even allowed his leopard tail free, though wasn't quite so relaxed as to parade around his spotted back. Either way, the holiday seemed to be doing him good.
"Ah yeah, I definitely joined Bellefonte for the good holidays. Didn't have anything like this in 'Straya." The paycheck was better too, but it wasn't polite to mention that. Still happily talking to himself, Gabriel linked his arms behind his head and walked into the dining hall. What he saw was a bit of a surprise. Erika was..No, no, different scent, Else then, he corrected himself. He'd never met the other twin, but apparently she was scarier than Erika. Considering Erika had allowed herself to be tamed by his brother of all people, he could believe there were a great deal many people who were scarier than her.
"Throwing a party, ey?" He mused, raising his eyebrow at the bag in her hand. It didn't even take his sensitive nose to recognize the leaves. Jeez, he'd had enough of the shit with Lucy, now it was just popping up everywhere. It had really put a dint in the young man's perspective on human goodness. "Go wild or go home. Is that the Bellefonte motto these days?"

The voice caught Elsa's attention and she turned to the young man approaching. He looked vaguely familiar, like someone that she thought she should know. Elsa figured the answer wouldn't be too hard to get: she simply reached out with her power, looking over the thoughts to try and figure things out. He knew her name, and had a trick for determining which twin she actually happened to be...
"Scarier?" Elsa repeated, laughing slightly. "I do suppose that's true. And yes, obviously," she rolled her eyes and jostled the bag. "I'm clearly going to get incredibly stoned and just lay out on the deck. You caught me," she held out her other arm, wrist turned up, fist clenched. "Cuff me and take me away."
All the while Elsa maintained a near monotone voice, her expression wry, eyebrows slightly raised, eyes looking nearly dead at him.

Scay was right then. Gabriel winced when Elsa spoke, having the decency to look bashful. "Either I've developed selective memory, or you have quite the little trick there," he noticed raising his eyebrow in surprise. So mind-reading, was it? Or perhaps she was very perceptive, or in the end he may have developed selective memory after all and spoken without remembering. That sounded like something he'd be capable of, actually. Luckily he had too much faith in himself to actually put stock in the worry.
"Punish you for possessing drugs?" His eyes widened in mock horror, dropping to her turned wrists. "But that would be mature. I simply couldn't." That, and Elsa's behaviour wasn't guilty in the least. Perhaps she was souless and didn't care that she was carting around a bag full of drugs, but Gabe's faith in humanity preferred to think that instead there was more to this story than he was understanding.
"I'd introduce myself, but that seems pointless. I'm really burning with curiosity now, though. It's not like you'd be the first stoner on this ship. Got no appeal for you unless you're the first at it?" How high school students had gotten such easy access to drugs was beyond him, but it pissed him off. If it were up to him he'd be taking care of it, erasing the problem entirely. But that was ridiculously idealistic even for him. There was no stopping idiots, unfortunately.

Elsa had to raise a brow at that. What person at this school didn't know of her abilities by now? It wasn't as though Elsa was particularly shy about using them, after all. Perhaps he was just being coy, or he hadn't quite confirmed which sibling he was dealing with, despite his earlier confidence.
The mock horror was somewhat amusing, causing Elsa's smile to spread slightly. "You're a fine example to the younger generation," she drawled, unable to stop her amusement from leaking into the words. The followup had her chuckling slightly, though she was somewhat put out by the lack of introduction. Well, I can always figure it out the "easy" way.
"I ran into a few students with it," she said, holding it up, "likely taking advantage of lax laws but, well, they are students," Elsa paused, looking at the bag in her hand. "Though I suppose I technically am now too." Another pause, and she looked at the young man. "So should I be handing this over to you? Or are you, too, another student who shouldn't drift anywhere near this horrible substance."

So Gabriel wasn't a gossip monger, and technically he was still a little new to the school. He'd heard enough to know who Elsa was, but really that was only because of Erika. The fact that she could read minds, well he'd figured she'd have a mental mutation because of Erika, but this was insanely cool. Actually, it was even cooler when her previously dead expression changed to accommodate something of a smile. "That's better," he enthused with a crooked smile. "Half afraid I was talkin' to a zombie for a while there." He certainly preferred talking to smiling people. That was just a general thing.
"I try. Gotta keep them reaching for some kind of idol after all. Can't have them thinking this Be-neon-say and Tumor Swift, or whatever their names are, make good role models for such impressionable teenagers." He gave a polite, dainty little shudder at the thought. The entire thing was incredibly fake.
He sighed, his joking demeanor faltering slightly. "Of course you did." There was sad acceptance in his voice, and he tiredly rubbed a hand through his shaggy hair. "Damn kids, can't even pick a normal hobby to pursue. Like shark-cage diving." In mock defensiveness he crossed his arms, forcing the smirk back onto his face, though it was a little less real this time. All the shitty drugs running around the boat, and around the Bellefonte students touched him more personally than it should. "Teacher, ma'am. English, in fact. I'm just here for the Hawaiian shorts and free margaritas, no drugs. I can take it." He was reluctant to touch them, but he held out his hand anyway.

Elsa gave the young man another long look as he continued. Really? Did he find himself amusing or something? That seemed to be the only possible explanation Elsa could come up with for his utterly foolish statements and behavior, unless he was trying to make her more comfortable. If so, then he clearly hadn't heard anything about Elsa.
At least the jokes were failing as he continued forward. He seemed almost as disappointed at the situation as Elsa herself, though she didn't appreciate another random comment. "Are you certain you're mature enough to be supervising for this trip?" she had to ask. "And I don't recall seeing you on the rosters when I was the Headmistress."
Elsa pulled back the drugs, giving the young man another skeptical look, brow arching slightly. "So, who exactly are you, hmm?"

Sighing, Gabriel stood defeated by Elsa's unflappable nature. Well, couldn't knock a guy for trying. "That's something I'd be asking of the guy's who sign my paycheck." Since it didn't appear Elsa was going to be handing over the bag, he retracted his hand. Not like he couldn't get them later, and he didn't exactly expect Elsa to light up a bunt right in front of him either.
"I came over from 'Straya, stuck around after the games." He hadn't really wanted anything to do with the games or the fires, and after reuniting with Everett again he'd found himself reluctant to leave. That wasn't to say he liked the guy now. No way, there wasn't a chance.
Apparently an introduction was necessary after all. Well, perhaps not necessary, but it was polite and Gabriel could respect that. He actually preferred it. "Gabriel King, English teacher of Bellefonte. My friends call me Gabe, and probably much less savory terms behind my back. Really, feel free to take your pick."

Yes, it was something that Elsa would have definitely asked the person signing this... fool's paycheck. She could already feel those old reflexes and old thoughts from her training and months as Headmistress coming into play, practically demanding that she hold this young man accountable for his behavior for some reason.
His explanation continued. Elsa listened, and was somewhat disappointed that she hadn't noticed his accent before the word. It made sense though: several of their visitors from abroad had opted to remain in Bellefonte following the events of IMAC. Elsa wasn't entirely sure why, but it wasn't her place to question.
Though she remained silent: after all, that wasn't a complete introduction or response to her query, and he knew it. Sure enough, he continued. Gabriel... "King?" Elsa repeated, arching a brow. "As in the family that my sister married into? Or is that just a quite amazing coincidence? I'm hoping for your sake that it's the latter, because otherwise, I think I would have led with 'I'm related to your brother-in-law.'"
