Spence had grossly over packed. He always did, though, but one wouldn't guess by the meticulously efficient way in which he had stuffed the long, green duffel bag to the gills. He'd only brought two bags, the duffel that carried far more clothes and various items he could ever possibly need for the trip, and the large pack he always had close at hand in case of emergencies. He was the on call medic for the trip as well as a chaperone.
After checking in and getting his room assignment, Spence hefted the duffel onto his shoulder and and climbed up the stairs leading toward the ship's deck. Having spent more time than he'd care to admit on various watercraft, Spence almost felt more at home here than he did in the form of the Academy. The weather was fantastic, the air was abuzz with the excited chatter of students and staff alike as they eagerly awaited the ship's departure. Spence moved across the deck with the stoic motions of a man on a mission. It may have been a Spring break trip, but the big man didn't seem to be of any mind to have fun. As far as he was concerned, there was a job to be done and he wouldn't waver or stray from his duty.
The room itself was a little on the small side, but nothing Spence wasn't already used to. At least the beds which were positioned on opposite ends of the room looked large enough to accommodate his considerable bulk and he'd passed a sign pointing in the direction of a 24-hour gym, so he wouldn't have to worry about that. "Afternoon." He said with a polite tilt of his head as he stepped inside to find the room already occupied. Spence was no stranger to roommates and a lack of privacy making the sleeping arrangements fall well within his comfort zone.
With a brief glance in the direction of the other staff member, Spence moved to lay claim to the empty bed. The duffel went to the floor and the medic back on the foot of the bed. "Corey Spencer." He said, turning and approaching his temporary roommate and extending a massive hand. "Most just call me 'Spence'."
